I don't think it was ever shown that she told Rey about it, I err on the side of caution and betting on Annie being terrible is generally a safe bet, so I'm gonna say Annie was selfish and didn't tell Rey for fear of him leaving her.
Reynard being in the doll is bound by Annie's glyph. He can't utilize any of his powers while bound in the doll, which is a situation pretty much EVERYONE wants. If Reynard is allowed to jump into anything but the doll, including his original body, then he becomes a dangerous piece of shit just like Loup and will be able to possess and thereby kill people effortlessly.
Annie freeing Reynard from his current body would be a fricking mistake. You have to assume Reynard is always looking for a way out like some kind of malicious AI trying to leave the computer. It might even be safe to say, very bluntly to Reynard, that there will never be an opportunity for him to leave the plush doll and if this story wasn't such a shitshow that fact would need to be made very clear to Annie (and Kat when she had control).

I'm very worried about the comic. I seriously think that Loup is going to be defeated by the power of love.
