I hope the court is just like this forever now
I hope Zimmy shoots Annie in the head
There's no way she could do that!
Guns are illegal in Britain!
Fast travel all the time
Watch your step you might end up in a ocean created by a bisexual
kind of boring reveal ngl
What reveal?
when I saw Annie and Renard embracing as the darkness covered them I assumed something interesting would come of it, like the two of them waking up separated somehow or merging (especially disappointing, considering this merged landscape)
>author didn't do what I expected
>boring
>when treatise posters people analysed in symbolism were actually literal spoilers
Maybe we'll finally understand like half of the treatises this chapter!
This looks like that one crossroads meme. Which way, firehead girl?
Also, I love the way she's hugging Rey. Must protecc fox dad.
It looks like it could be full of new adventures. I hope Tom is as excited as me to explore wacky scenarios and has fun along the way instead of rushing to the finish line anticlimacticly.
Ao much potential
Do you really think Tom would do such a thing?
Set up amazing magical adventures and then just let a deus ex machina take them away from us?
I'm kidding, I stopped being cynical about gunnerkrigg, I'm very excited for this chapter!
I bet Kat swoops in and undoes it in an instant and everyone is just okay and there's no consequences to anything
I mean ideally this world is meant to be stopped, and writing-wise ZimZone is always sorta meant to be mysterious, so I would consider it sound story telling if they rush to fix things instead of treating this like an Isekai
I like this page.
Where the frick is Jones though?
In Barbieland trying to see if she can tell her how to get a real vegana like she has one now
SEE CAUSE SHE'S INSIDE A BOX
GET IT
Do nuPeople sweat? Would licking Lana's armpits taste good?
Actual serious question. I want to know how far ahead Kat planned. I could imagine her adding in perspiration as a cooling mechanism, but would she have the foresight to add the pheromones and flora that cause aphrodisiac effects? A lot of authors seem to stop at "they have genitals so yeah they could frick I guess" but they don't really consider the mechanisms and consequences of libido, hormones, embodied psychology, etc.
>the pheromones and flora that cause aphrodisiac effects?
Humans don't have pheromones nor the ability to sense pheromones, I think that was recently confirmed, I read about it somewhere.
You just like stink.
Her hair also looks like Boxbot's arms, spindly with big round dumb round things at the end.
Gasp!
Where's her boobs?
You mean these?
Zimmy stole them.
>bunch of holes in the trees/cliffs
wow it's just like my Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 8: Jojolion
Aw, I was hoping Renard and Annie would have accidentally fused together.
There's new people experiencing the weird shit too, interesting
Alright. Final Zimmy Arc begins.
I think I can edit this. I have a lewd idea once again. =)
Based.
in progress
Silly girl, this is not the time!
B-but what if this is our last time together!
Very romantic.
If the canon ending of the story isn't along these lines I will screech autistically in protest!
nice
Done.

good
Is Annie trying to impregnate Rey?
I heard of this webcomic years ago but never got into it because I was always busy and because it just seemed so long. Should I read it? Whats in store for me?
>should i read it
No
>what’s in store for me
Frustration and gays
>should i read it
Yes
>what’s in store for me
Frustration and gays
I did not know there were gays in this, skimming the TV tropes page for this (which is how I found out) and reading the first 5 or so pages and it didnt really look like that kind of webcomic
Is this like an Andrew Hussie situation where the author starts hating his own creation?
>Is this like an Andrew Hussie situation where the author starts hating his own creation?
I don't think he hates it, but I think he wants to get it done. Idk how much of the abusive dad apologism was written in response to fans, but it seems excessive and pointed to just be written in a vacuum.
Tony wasn't abusive, this anon just has issues.
Bring back the two Annies, Tom.
Tony's handling of the situation was inappropriate and done to maximize drama.
Neglect is abuse
Sending your kid to a boarding school isn't neglect, weirdo.
It is if you then disappear off the face of the earth
Not really, the whole point of a boarding school is that they care for the child in the absence of the parents.
A boarding school isn't an orphanage, you're supposed to at least nominally be your child's guardian
>I did not know there were gays in this
It's a webcomic. of course there is
Anons are overexaggerating, there is a bit of gay but it doesn't get a lot of focus.
>Should I read it?
Read it up until chapter 78, or until you stop liking it.
>Whats in store for me?
A charming story about two girls exploring a school full of mysteries, sci-fi shenanigans, and cool figures from mythology. slowly gives way to a lot of boring plot resolutions and an ongoing campaign by the author to make everyone like a very unlikable character.
Also has a lot of material for the author's strange fetishes.
It's mostly worth reading IMO, but we just came out of what very well may have been the low point in the comic so people are kind of jaded right now. It feels like it's picking back up though.
Not a Hussie situation, but the art and writing have definitely felt more sloppy lately.
Thinking about Tony, do you guys think he might try to smuggle Annie to the new world to try to solve her issue?
So far, the existence of the star ocean hasn't really factored into much of anything (unless that's what this chapter is about: That Zimmy somehow managed to bridge the gap between planets in an attempt to ruin everything for the court, as this Zimmingham bubble was originally planned to be used when the court was going to try to get her, not against Cyote and Loup)
I think after the hand slicing incident Tony's going to be more cautious about taking risks like that. the star ocean matters because it presented a threat to Loup and Zimmy, and because Kat is strongly considering leaving on it.
>and because Kat is strongly considering leaving on it
Do you really think Tom would pull something like that?
I mean... It's difficult, right? Realistically, this is a pretty great opportunity, a lot of people would take the trip, so I can't really say that Tom would be doing Kat a disservice, but it feels SO wrong, right? It just feels like something that should never ever happen.
It's not like Kat's character hasn't already been completely ruined, though, so who knows. Tom can really do whatever he wants with her at this point because none of her values and beliefs seem to matter anymore...
I don't see Tom doing it, partially because I don't see the star ocean endeavor working as planned, but it adds tension to Kat's relationship to Annie, the robots/new people, and her godhood.
It is entirely impossible to predict this comic, so I guess we'll see. It's the comic's greatest quality at this point.
I wish I knew where Tom was going with the story by now, though. Y'know, like, a rough goal, at least. We keep getting all these clues with the treatises and foreshadowing but then when the time for the reveal comes, all of our theories go out of the window. It is very frustrating, especially because a lot of the fan theories tend to be better than what ends up happening in the comic.
For some reason, though, I still (perhaps foolishly) believe that Tom has some great pottery in mind.
C'mon it's been years. When Tony came back we didn't know anything about his autism or mind cage. It was dramatic but there were clues before and after about everything that was going on that wasn't immediately revealed. Annie cheated off Kat's homework and the Court was going to expel her, Tony disciplined her fairly and Annie had a meltdown, cut her hair to separate her fireside and put on that shitty hospital gown looking dress. And working through that bullshit was good for Annie's character, she repeated a grade and made new friends and her old friends helped her reconnect to her fireside. Hell Ysengrin was the one who got her to see how silly she was being to tell you how long ago it was. And in the process we get more backstory than we ever had, events like Microsat 5, hell Zimmy and Gamma visiting Annie and Kat in the hospital set up a lot of stuff that paid off later, and is still paying off.
>Tony disciplined her fairly
Humiliating her in front of her peers wasn't fair. No actual contemporary school would allow that to happen.
Please be patient, he has autism.
>When Tony came back we didn't know anything about his autism or mind cage
We learned about it fairly early when Donald let Annie eavesdrop on them. The fact that you forgot, and that Tom needed to write "It's ok because Tony's autistic Part II" kind of makes it clear that the first one didn't work. "My 'Tony did nothing wrong' chapters are raising a lot of questions already answered by my chapters" etc.
