remove all human crap and the mini monkey and its not so bad, fights are ok

They have not been doing a good job with the scale of the monsters. They don't feel weighty and large. Only good scene was when Kong used Jr as a club.
Zero G monster battle was super geh
Plenty of good scenes in it. This one was really action heavy. I liked the bit where Godzilla owned the US navy. There's something in it for everyone. The monke cub club was just the high point. This movie was dumb as frick and all the better for it. As for scale, that's because everything in the underworld, where most of the shit went down, was scaled to size. It was after all the land of the Titans. Even the "muh noble savage" shit was disposable and barely even mattered. MONKE SMASH is what this was all about. You either like that shit, or don't. In which case Minus One is what you're after. Win-win.

CGI looked better than GvK, especially when it got up close. Godzilla looked great.
