yeah management was finally letting O&A host videos officially but Steve had the "rights" to them on foundymusic or something and he made them pay him before handing it over. Opie was pissed off about it because he felt like Steve already got paid in the form of the site's ad revenue and Steve's side of it was he never really wanted to be O&A's webmaster to begin with so he deserved a cash out. Not long after that Steve was gone.

I don't see why that should be attributed to Opie. It was just a different time. All of them were different, so they did a different show. Opie wasn't sitting down with Anthony ordering him to only go on drunk political rants once a month or anything, the first thing Ant and Jim would have ever said about Opie was that he was controlling in that way if that was the case.
At most Opie moved the show along and would force a change in subject. But Jim & Sam cover several topics a show just fine yet they still suck.
They were just funnier people back then, and bounced off each other and the guests well.
Gavin's a chickenhawk homosexual who makes up endless stories about him being a hardass that should end with "...and then everyone clapped", but I still like Ant's take on things, and I would seriously consider paying to listen to a podcast that is just him talking about video games and movies.
