Every show upon release has gotten the "Second season" announcement right before it released. If this show didn't.....then I advise you to TAKE THE FRICKING HINT. It's very clearly spelled out.
There's a chance the writer's strike delayed an announcement on a second season. It's what happened with the baby show I worked on where the season ended and I would've been thrown right into production for next season, but they had to delay everyone's contracts by three months so production everywhere else can catch up.

Ghostfaces have gotten increasingly annoying since their show ended. No, Hailey didn't become Molly season 2. They didn't kill the main villain pointlessly and they didn't have Hailey suddenly crushing on a brown dude with overalls and glasses while Scott becomes gay for an extremely uncomfortable bull queer dude.
If people want to say Molly S1 > Hailey S1, I'll agree. But don't forget that Molly had a few stinkers in its early episodes as well. We had like 3 or 4 episodes about people's grannies. Only the two parter episodes even came close to sniffing the highs of other shows like Amphibindia, Owl house, Gravity Falls or Star. Hailey on the other hand is about as much of a lore show as Rick and morty, which it tries to be a kid-friendly version of (its really obvious in stuff like

If properties like Moon Girl needed to beg fans to watch the first half of Season 2 on Disney+ to warrant a third season, then it means that Disney just saw Iger's return as a way to get rid of anything approved during Gary Marsh's last years at Disney TVA but keeping Kiff and Hamster alive beacuse those one became sucessful.

That's what it feels like to me as well. Seems like Hailey is dealing with the fallout of previous series and decisions made by Disney that Hailey had nothing to do with. Which is a real shame. I wouldn't say the series is amazing or anything but I honestly liked most of the show. There was some fun to be had with Hailey and her cast of characters and seeing that it's probably over so soon is a disappointment. I hope this is the last Disney show to get such a rough deal and that the freeze is over.

The choice to cancel the show was probably made a long while back. The Molly guys got the news pretty much right after season two started to air that their show was cancelled. It wouldn't be surprising if Disney cancelled Hailey's show only a few episodes into the series. That's probably what the ten extra episodes added to the season were a part of. It's cancellation.

Phineas and Ferb is absolutely going to get FOP'd in its return just like that show did too. Theyll introduce new "hip" characters (or worse, a baby sibling for the boys), they'll make Isabella unlikable to sink the ship and make one or more of them gay, most of the other side cast will be phased out, and Doof will absolutely dominate screentime until you absolutely cannot stand him anymore no matter how much of a fan of him you originally were.

Doofenshmirtz probably won't be allowed all his show girls during this many songs, Candace may lose that two piece swimsuit she had, but anything more extreme sounds really unlikely. Maybe Stacy or a Fireside girl will be gay but I don't know about anything else changing. Seems like Disney gave Povenmire a lot of leeway to do as he likes so I wouldn't expect them to try and force too many changes on him.

A lot of cartoon fanatics hype up DTVA for keeping cartoons alive when CN and Nick's programming is dead in the water, but at least the shows they greenlit stay for a bit longer than 30 episodes. if this was going to get another season, then i might tell you to give it a speedwatch. some episodes are boring, others surprisingly punch above their weight (i liked the cowboy, noir, and family sitcom parody episodes the most). the humor is mostly cringe but they occasionally land a good joke or two.

Seems more like it's just that animation freeze from a bit ago still wreaking havoc. That is an accurate assessment of this show. If anything it wants to be something like Wizards of Waverly Place but it has plots that deal with the future but the aesthetics of the show which is the whole spelling point aren't actually what's important even tho without them you don't really have a show to market. They were right to be angry, of course.... Amphibia got utterly screwed by that decision, as did TGAMM whose sneak peak was released instead and it caught most of the backlash from Amphibijeets.... Molly's YT stuff got downvoted and brigaded almost as bad as Primos did.... but the Mouse remembers. Rather than plug the leaks, its only gotten worse (We already have episodes of the fricking Primos leaked out, and the semi-finale for Molly leaked MONTHS before it aired) and rather than solve this clear security breach Disney just decided to go scorched earth entirely on DTVA.

To be honest, S2 writing in general was complete garbage. Aside from yurigays shitfling on Ollie for demolishing their headcanon shipping, the episodes felt disconnected and they sorta abandoned on what the show is about. The same issue that's affecting Hailey, is the same thing that's affecting the remainder of the series. And when the series finale aired, one posted a screenshot on one of the threads back in January, on what would've been if S3 was greenlit and seeing how those proposed episodes and its synopsis clearly proves that it would be like S2 v2.0 but more boring and pointless.

I've wondered that myself. In the age of streaming it barely even matters if people are watching the content as long as they remain subscribed. I think it's unlikely anyone subscribes to Disney+ just for a single cartoon.

I'm not sure about that. They get the numbers from people watching and rewatching shows, even if they never share them. They can use that to find out what shows keep people subscribed and what shows don't and if a show isn't getting people to subscribe and no one who is subscribed is watching them then there's no real reason for them to keep supporting it, right? Streaming numbers should still matter. If they didn't then they'd green light and approve anything just to have material on their service. And if they didn't matter then the crews for some of these shows wouldn't be begging people to watch and rewatch their shows on Disney Plus.
I imagine creators and anyone else who receives royalties certainly want the views on their content because those numbers dictate their income, but for Disney themselves? It's that $13.99 a month that matters to them, and it must surely only be a minuscule number of subscribers who base their decision to keep subscribing on a cartoon, or even cartoons in general. Most people are subbing for access to shit like all the Marvel, Star Wars, and classic Disney movies. And parents who pay for Disney+ so their kids have something to watch probably don't even care about the content and just keep that sub going. I get the feeling execs don't even know how success should be measured any more.

Not any of those anons but I used to work at a studio that would take on pilot projects and by that vague description, it sounds like a pre-school show called "Alex of Athens". It was about a boy who found a helmet that could channel all the powers of the Greek gods, so kind of like Ben 10 but for a much younger audience. But instead of turning into strange beings, he would harness their powers and be able to call them on the helmet like a telephone for silly dialogue exchanges.
That was over eight years ago though and I figured it just got passed along like most pilots do. Other anon, if true, could be a completely different project. But if he is talking about Alex, then it's not a show Cinemaphile would care about anyway.

Oh absolutely . But that show was riddled with them. I'm talking about the specific begging for leaks for the very last two episodes. That one kept going for weeks and didn't get anything until it was posted on Youtube officially the same day it released. Which was a surprise considering how many other leaks got around. Either way, seems like this one show isn't getting it's leaks reposted and I'm not sure why that anon is so desperate for them. It's almost here anyway.
