>extremely popular video game franchise about a faceless super soldier and his AI companion who fight genocidal aliens and zombie parasites hellbent on destroying humanity along with all life in the galaxy
>Paramount makes a TV show about women and feelings
Has any adaptation missed the mark worse than Halo?
Didn't they make Master Chief an Ethiopian or something
No he's a tall white guy but his character arc is literally about feelings and PTSD and he has maybe 15 minutes of action in the entire first season

Eternal Reminder
Joe Staten's Halo story ended with Halo 3. He also authored two Halo novels, Halo: Contact Harvest and later Halo: Shadow of Intent. ODST and Reach are the end of the line for Bungie Studios and Halo.
>"Halo 3: ODST is my favorite," Staten said. "And not just because I was helping to lead that project, but for me it was... any game developers that are watching will understand this. It was the game that we made in the most stable technology base that we'd ever had. You know, it was Halo 3 ODST. It was built in the Halo 3 engine, very few feature changes, so as almost entirely a content exercise.
>"And we just had the flexibility to go in and create an experience, a story that didn't have to wait for the engineers to do all their hard work, rebuild tools and pipelines, implement big features. All of those things are wonderful part of game development, but it just makes things challenging. It extends your timeline."
Eric Nylund's Halo book trilogy ended with Ghosts of Onyx.
>Eric Nylund: GHOSTS OF ONYX is the end of one chapter in the HALO saga--and hopefully the start of an entirely new one!
Ensemble Studios ended with Halo Wars.
>During the development of Halo Wars, Ensemble Studios was shut down by Microsoft. As such, the game was the studio's last title, with Robot Entertainment continuing the work of producing the game's downloadable content and Title Updates.
Bungie bids emotional farewell to Halo

Everything after 2010 is Frankie's franchise.
Shadow of intent is 343 shit as well
He's a weird looking israeli dude in the TV show
After the Mandalorian they had the perfect opportunity to do a show where the MC doesn’t take his helmet off. Instead he takes it off more than Mando
Yes it's super bizzare. People were saying "finally it's proven a character with no face can be great" and they ignored it.
females watch more tv than males
Halo's audience had to be at least 70% male
>its not for you chud
literally who was it made for? Like its fricking halo. who the frick wants to see a halo tv show other than boomer male gamers who just want to watch action scenes?
I personally wanted Arby and the Chief to get a TV Show
The true halo tv show
>pic related
they're not gonna reach the Halo until the final episode S2 and the flood will be a cliffhanger ending, and the show will get canceled.
>pic
and Season 2 is about Skate Dracina, Surf Drac's sidekick
The Asian girl and her side story was annoying. If they want to save the series then she should not ne in season 2 at all.
The show got OK reviews overall. The one episode that was purely about Kwan Ha was by far the lowest rated lol. It's a 4.6 on IMDB and all the other episodes are 6.7-8.2.
Why is his helmet smiling
To be fair, Halo had already played out as a story long before the TV series was even contemplated so there's really not much in the way of story they could tell.
If the TV series had been developed concurrently with the trilogy, then the writers of both could have worked together to fill in the gaps between games like the original Star Wars: The Clones Wars series did from 2002 to 2005.
>If the TV series had been developed concurrently with the trilogy, then the writers of both could have worked together to fill in the gaps between games like the original Star Wars: The Clones Wars series did from 2002 to 2005.
Eric Nylund already did.
Fall of Reach was the backbone of the Halo franchise. First Strike and Ghosts of Onyx fill the gap between H1 and H2. Shadow of Intent is the epilogue to Halo 3.
Women ruin everything, more news at 11
Is it salvageable? Will season 2 be violent and more action than talking about feelings?
i really can't believe how so many on here don't understand that tv drama series inherently are for women. and that's what any scripted series is. there are no action series
Yes they definitely marketed the Halo TV series towards women. Good post anon.
no, they marketed it to men by calling it 'halo' and then wrote the show for women.
>we need to poach a new tv franchise for our female audience
>keep it mind we have centuries of stories and all kinds of mediums to pull from
>I know just the idea sir:
Kai is best girl.
I loved the series and I don't care what anybody says. The suit-up scenes speak for themselves:
You *loved* it, along with the dozen other people?
Why are you even entertaining the premise that this is a Halo show? The writers haven't played Halo and couldn't give a frick about it, they just used it as a vehicle to tell whatever shitty story they wanted to tell.
>years later Halo babbys finally feel half of our pain and lose their minds
always late and always shittier consolehomosexuals
you deserve this for ruining fps, I hope you get season 2 and I hope Arbiter is played by a mexican twink.
I liked this movie, the fps part was a nice touch.
i still cringe at the whole 'pinky' arc
Everything sucks now I’m just gonna go back to playing Halo 3
Halo was advertised a lot, it was never good. 4's cortana is the only salvagable thing in the whole series.
What makes you think that Hollywood gives a single shit about the the source material in the first place?
Makee's butt alone made this show worth watching.
Same, except Johns
>haven’t you ever wondered why we’re here?
>no
>haven’t you ever wondered why you never wonder why?
>I think some of that pink hair dye seeped into your brain
>*bizarre moron face*
What the frick is this writing
Should have been a GoT style ensemble with Chief being a nightking type supercharacter
