I liked hanazuki
Hanazuki was something else entirely. Magic fantasy space, something you can't find when googling for space settings for a cartoon show (unless Wander Over Yonder count) the whole premise also is taken entirely out of a video game like Pikmin meeting Super Mario Galaxy.
How I miss Hanazuki so.
Their fate felt so similar.

I would have loved to see these franchises get the same treatment that stuff like G.I.Joe and Transformers had where they can be remade for a new generation.
Ruby Gloom had less moronic characters than Hanazuki, but Ruby had less adventure than Hanazuki while Hana still didn't have enough well written adventure action episodes.
Ruby was a very boring sitcom show that felt nothing like the gloomy atmosphere of the intro and neither the official sidebook canon.
Hanazuki has some episodes dealing with depression/being a failure, but it never actually focuses on Hana doubting herself and does anything with it. All the depression is reserved for the side characters who are just losers and the main character is too good to be a loser like the rest.
