Fancy restaurants are dirty too. At least you can see into the average Chinese kitchen. I managed a restaurant and I got to know our pest control guy very well. He confirmed my suspicion that there's no correlation between the type of food or cost of a restaurant and its cleanliness. It's just down to how much the management cares about it and is accountable for it.
No shit moron.
No one thought the wonton soup or porkbuns were directly bringing in the rats. It's that Chinese people are dirty and work in dirty areas that attract rats.
>install seating for 30 people >30 people order food >THIRTY FRICKING COVERS I'M UP TO MY EYEBALLS IN TICKETS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Servers should stagger tickets, although 30 tops really isn't shit, but all the same servers should stagger tickets and not put in an entire section at once.

I felt like all the people working on the show in all the different departments, from acting to camerawork to editing, were pretty much operating on the same level as they were in season one, but something about the second season just doesn't come together as well as the first season for me. Like all the component pieces are fine but they don't gel together anywhere as well as the first season did. I'm trying not to make a food metaphor.
the emotional beats of the first season are there but it feels strangely tired at times. they structured first half of the season like the first but then it switches focus to indivdual protags and we learn about them. this was some of the best and worst episodes of the bear.
Did I miss something or do they ever seriously talk about the monetary practicality of the kind of restaurant carmy is trying to build? They have all this fancy shit but are they even in a location where they can charge enough to keep themselves open? Sure we only just got the opening night of the restaurant and they had the scene with Natalie and Richie talking about their bookings, but shouldn't they be having a conversation about the prices on their menu before opening?
You people are poor. They don't have walk-ins and these fancy and cool restaurants are NOT in the wealthy parts of cities. They rely on the run down surroundings to appeal hip.
>Hello, I, a hungry customer entering this food establishment, would like to order food off the limit select of options you provided for me in exchange for the price listed in said menu, plus tip. >AAAAAAAAAA NOOOOOOOOOO YOU FRICKING MONSTER! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME!? FRICKING KILL ME GOD YOU wienerSUCKER SADIST!
I never worked with a single person in the restaurant industry who wasn't a stoner, a drunk, or a hard drug addict. There was this one guy who was straight edge when he started the job. Less than a year on the grill and he was smoking weed and drinking daily.
Being surrounded by other people like that. It's perfect for burnouts and misfits because any personality flaws are tolerated unless they result in physical violence or you get rapey. Even that is more tolerated since, again, employers are so desperate for competent restaurant people, things can be said in kitchens that would result in an HR nightmare and dismissals in the majority of industries. The best you can hope for is to make slightly more money to all of a sudden be in charge of these people. You express a desire to fire an untrustworthy or incompetent individual and despite having the authority to do so you are pestered nonstop by higher ups about how you will be responsible for picking up the slack left by their absence (forget the fact it's their job to staff in the first place).

Was a decent show give it 6/10. Don't think it will last long though writers are undisciplined

No shit moron.
No one thought the wonton soup or porkbuns were directly bringing in the rats. It's that Chinese people are dirty and work in dirty areas that attract rats.
chinese "people" are just filthy and diseased in general
Perilous, yellow fingers pawed away at a smartphone to deliver these words in Latin script.

WHY WAS THE DONUTTER SENT TO DENMARK TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE GREEN PINEAPPLE PUREE WITH CAVIAR?
They wanted to make an anime training arc in one episode.
WHY WAS THE KITCHEN FULL OF BLACKS INSTEAD OF MEXICANS, THAT'S NOT ACCURATE
hows season2? the end of s1 was such an asspull with the CANS i have zero interest

They skipped over that because it makes no sense for all their money woes. The restaurant is in a rich part of town.
You people are poor. They don't have walk-ins and these fancy and cool restaurants are NOT in the wealthy parts of cities. They rely on the run down surroundings to appeal hip.
Ok moron. They say in the show the restaurant is in River North. The perfect place for a new pretentious restaurant.
The only good thing about working in a kitchen is there's no HR department to report sexual harassment claims.
yes there is

what is it about the restaurant industry that does that to people?
