Just have a similar reaction whenever she points out something, and watch as the double standards pile up

People deal with grief in different ways?

I may be misremembering but she doesn't even acknowledge any measure of grief at all once we see her again, its just banging dudes left and right

Arousal during/instead of grief is actually a really common response. Weirdly, it's also common after NDE.

I've never heard about grief arousal stemming from spousal-death, doesn't really make any sense, its just the harley show being wacky

Validation is the word that anon is looking for. Some (read: most) women need validation when they think they're on a downward spiral. The "grief response" he's talking about is a response driven entirely by vanity.

The actual grief-driven response for widows who can't handle being alone is to quickly find and marry a guy who reminds her of her dead husband.

I must've missed when she had grief

There was an episode where she acknowledged she was fricked up from Freeze's death. She's still a mess, but she stopped sleeping around with men and got a job at the Legion of Doom.

Your sister doesn't like comics, right? Like actual comics or older comic-related cartoons.

Newer comics and comic-related shows aren't meant for people who like comics so much as they're meant for people who like the idea of comics. They don't value the characters so they don't feel bad about torturing them. It's all a joke because they think we're a joke for actually liking comics.

Anon, the Harley Quinn show is all one big joke anyway. Taking anything that happens in that shit seriously is moronic.

You would have a point if the show didn't also expect you to take it seriously, and care about the characters.

Yes that's how most normal people would react. They would understand it's a dumb joke for shock value and move on.
You're carrying the meta knowledge of Freeze and Nora in other takes that this show does not depict in the same heartfelt way.

I understand that humor is difficult for people with autism, so I'll help:
It IS twisted, and that was written by the writers intentionally as a joke. One minute you have a devoted husband pining over her lost wife, sacrifices himself to save her, only for her to be a huge flake. It's a subversion of expectations played for laughs.
Try to remember that they're not real people, but fictional 2D characters that don't have actual thoughts or motivations. It's like a picture book that moves and has sound. Nothing is done without the writers of the book making it that way. Harley Quinn is a funny comedy cartoon with adult themes.
    I hope that helps.
