what 90% of shows can't get right once, Twin Peaks did twice.

>How's Annie?
>Annie is never brought up in The Return
have you seen fire walk with me? she's in the black lodge, considering cooper is himself for a handful of episodes and he has to deal with judy it makes sense that she's was never brought up
so Heather Graham for season 4?
Because she wasn't a character, both in meta sense of making the show and in context of the story.
Then why leave it as a huge cliffhanger only to never bring it up again
What cliffhanger?
Leaving Annie's state uncertain
Doc Hayward told Cooper she's fine, what else do you need? She served her purpose, everyone can forget about her just like everyone instantly forgot about Maddy.
Then why leave it as a huge cliffhanger only to never bring it up again
Huh?
Are you referring to 'How's Annie?' line specifically? If so i don't think the meaning of Cooper's words was the important thing in the scene, but rather the fact that he's breaking down and exposing himself as a doppelganger. He could have been repeating 'Cherry pie and coffee' and the impact would be the same
no it wouldn't, because "Cheery pie and coffee" would not be mocking something as inconsequential as how Annie Blackburn is doing
It was just BOB having a laugh after having to act like normal, goody two shoes Agent Cooper in front of Sheriff Truman and the doctor.
I love Maddy. I haven't forgotten best girl.
She was brought up in Fire Walk With Me and in one of the deleted scenes from The Missing Pieces she is wheeled into the hospital wearing the ring. It's a shame the scene was cut but Lynch did try and resolve that. That scene among others is the reason why people think the ring is a form of protection. Annie escaped the lodge and her purpose was essentially to bring Coop to the lodge, a purpose which she served.
now to save her next season? why is it always about Laura who died in the pilot? why isn't it about Annie and checking in on her?
Yeah.
>why isn't it about Annie and checking in on her?
Why should it be? Laura is the focal point of the entire show. Why would that suddenly change?
She can be the focal point but how come she always shows up alive and in dreams and in time travel and dimension travel and flashbacks and flash forwards? Unlike Laura who died, Annie is alive and Coop should find and pound her.
>how come she always shows up alive and in dreams and in time travel and dimension travel and flashbacks and flash forwards?
Because her death was a significant cosmic event for reasons not fully known to the viewer.
You forget that Cooper (actually already Mr C) also instantly forgets about Annie and instead goes to check in on Audrey and rapes her. What does that mean? That means that the focus of the story, the world and the characters shifted back to what it was initially and what it was always supposed to be.
>and instead goes to check in on Audrey and rapes her
how does this happen bros? did he make the medical staff go away somehow and pounced on her with the tubes and shit on the bed? is he one pump chump? i'm genuinely interested in finding out how that went down
He probably licked Audrey's chin a lot
yeah but why bring duchovny back?
THAT WAS A BEAUTIFUL COINCIDENCE. WE HAPPENED TO HAVE A CHARACTER THAT FITS THE MODERN MESSAGE AND DAVID WAS HAPPY TO SLIP RIGHT BACK IN
Wasn't Denise Lynch's idea? I always thought the character, funny and freakish at the same time, was very suitable for Twin Peaks.
>Annie is never brought up in The Return
She is tho, but only once.
This is Thread Killer. I am now killing your thread. You will only see a couple more replies after this post is visible. Thank you for cooperating.
This. Lynch shit sucks and is like catnip for pseud redittors.
Twin Peaks season finales were all amazing, but the Shield managed to trump it.
based twin peaks and the shield connoisseur, add in sopranos and you have impeccable tastes
The Shield has probably the best finale possible. Tight, no wasted moments. And that "seems such a long time ago..." montage gave me the feels.
>I HAD ANOTHER MONICA BELLUCCI DREAM. WE WERE SITTING AT A CAFÉ IN SANTA FE DISCUSSING THE MATRIX RELOADED AND HOW IT IS THE WACHOWSKI'S MAGNUM OPUS. WHEN OUR CONVERSATION CONCLUDED, SHE STARED AT ME FOR A GOOD WHILE, BEFORE FARTING REALLY REALLY LOUDLY AND IT STRUCK ME AS FUNNY. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME? IT STRUCK ME AS FUNNY.
CONSUMABLE TV VIOLENCE
THE THING IS THE THING. IF EVERYTHING IS EXPLAINED, THE MOMENT THE FILM IS OVER, YOU HAVE AN EXCUSE TO FORGET THE WHOLE THING
Last night I watched episode 8 of season 3.
So far this season is one of the most boring things I've ever seen.
After all these years I thought it was not going to happen again but congratulations Cinemaphile, you memed me again.
It good around episode 16 🙂
