I want to imagine that it's just a result of corporate Taco Bell not valuing workplace cleanliness and bad inventory management that leads to food poisoning. Because you look at a taco and it's a combination of hot and cold ingredients, which is a worst-case situation as it puts pretty much everything in the danger zone for bacterial growth. You combine that with unsafe corporate oversight and you have a bad situation. There's a reason why McDonalds doesn't have food safe issues because they are militant about consistent and clean workplace practices at all locations in the world. You (likely) won't get sick eating at a McDonalds in India because McDonalds ensures that those operations are run as well as operations in the West. They filter and clean the frick out of their water (which is true in every McDonalds) knowing that the local water will frick up tourists - they want tourists to know that you can eat at a McDonalds in India and you won't shit yourself for weeks like you would eating anywhere else in the country.
I read it once, but due to cosmic circumstance I accidentally clicked way ahead - I think I might've hit the end key when I had the entire story loaded on one page and then scrolled up to where I thought I was - and ended up skipping right past Dipper entering the bathroom to him slipping and dying in a pile of gore. I thought it was weird and disjointed but nothing more than a little shock writing. I learned about my mistake later, read it through again, and my impression mostly didn't change other than that this reminded me of the stuff I'd see on the older internet pretty often.
Kinda miss it.
There's edgy fangames, but not so many edgy fanworks besides the occasional pedo one. Famously there was one game where the dev made it a big plot point the villain raped and murdered a little girl, and it turned out he was an actual child molester who's now in jail.
