I mostly want some older movie reccomendations for older kino. Watched lawrence of Arabia, zulu, Jason and the argonauts, and a bunch of other stuff like that so I'm kind of on a kick.
Yeamh man it's got lots of good stuff. There's commercials but it isn't too bad. >Tfw I was a few episodes into Battlestar before they made peacock pay to watch
But they are stupid and allow uBlock to perfectly block their ads. There's just a tiny little "hiccup" in the video, where the ads would have been. I haven't seen an ad on Tubi. Ever.
I hate to tell you, but there are PLENTY of Americans who fuck up your/you're. Especially the retards on Cinemaphile(nel). I used to point out the mistakes, but gave up. I just laugh and move on now.

Really? Hoping for someone to give them a (You)? So they can start a fight with them? Sounds about right. Still, I have friends who supposedly did well in school who fuck up your/you're, and its/it's, etc, in emails all the time.
I didn't know that but I'm a poorfag using a tablet.
Super Sentai Zyurangers

100% tubi is far and away the best streaming app outside of maybe Criterion Channel. Their own produced content is like Asylum tier unwatchable, but it's better for just how content rich it is. Perfect for parents and grandparents because it's got so much old shit that they probably grew up watching. It's fun to go scrolling through sometimes. They've got mountains of shit, but they've also got so many classics it's worth it, and quite varied. I usually get bored before I reach the end and I still will be finding shit I recognize amidst all the dtv bullshit.
But yeah, it's a solid recommend any day of the week. I'm shocked more people don't know about it. I'll shill for it any fucking day over the Prime/Netflix garbage.
I downloaded a rare b movie noir that was hard to find anywhere else except for that site. Unfortunately, the quality was a bit shite, 480p at best. I'd rather torrent tbqh.
This is where private trackers come in handy. I know there are some trackers that specialize in older kino. I'm quite sure the availability is far better there than public trackers.
>I just mute volume and read a short article or something when the ads hit, doesn't really bother me
15 years of torrenting has spoiled me. I never see an ad for any movie, and all the TV shows have ads seamlessly edited out. I couldn't go back to watching ads again.
Feels like they just buy up discount rights to old Hollywood shit and mainstream Indian shit.
If anyone is using Firesticks, there are files you can inject that connect you to pirate services that have the proper UI for a cuck remote. They work great, everything in 4k and even new movies as cam versions if you're desperate (they get updated to 4k when it comes out on streaming)
Were they that long? Didn't seem that bad. Worth it for good titles for free though, I don't really have access to pirating shit anymore I have to go to some Russian virus site to see things I'm not able to watch on streaming services.
>has a whole category for old italian horror and giallo movies
Based as hell. Tubi shows how much the other services truly don't give a shit about having good film catalogs.
lmao at TVfags, what a joke
never seen a commercial once on Tubi, and half the time when I google some weird old movie I feel like checking out, the Tubi logo is right there at the top of the page, start watching the movie with 60 seconds of first hearing of it
PLUS subtitles 90% of the time, and they've got deals with Severin, VinSyn, etc. Instead of paying 100 bucks for some bluray box, I can just pull up the flicks on Tubi free. Used to pull movies off of CG constantly and barely ever need to go there any more.
>watch everything for free already with pirated services >HEY GOYIM MAKE SURE TO SIGN UP TO THIS SERVICE WE TOTALLY AREN'T HARVESTING ALL YOUR DATA
Fuck off shill.
I haven’t signed up for it but watched a few shows on it, it’s not a bad service but you can just tell it’s going to do the Hulu route in a few years. It’s a Murdoch company after all, I prefer pluto but that’s only because of Star Trek
>but you can just tell it’s going to do the Hulu route in a few years.
You're probably quite correct. Standard practice of building up a loyal client base, and then forcing them to pony up.
Lmao, people only use it because it's free and doesn't require a login. If they start trying to make people pay, they'll just leave. People who know how to torrent only use it because it's convenient and morons etc all have Roku and will just switch over to the Jerry Springer channel

Yeah. HDMI cord to big ass TV. It's nice
why wouldn't you? you can even upscale it
I didn't know that but I'm a poorfag using a tablet.

Hard to find a lot of old movies on torrents these days.
They exist but nobody is seeding anymore.

Super Sentai Zyurangers
the long goodbye
Khartoum
I started that and totally forgot about it thanks anon it seemed good too.
I always check the list of movies that are leaving soon, there's usually something good up there
I just mute volume and read a short article or something when the ads hit, doesn't really bother me

ads
>how do they do it?
Ads and shit resolution (480, 576 and sometimes 720).
It's not just the resolution - the bitrate is atrocious.
General public doesn't care about kinos so they get it for cheap
Feels like they just buy up discount rights to old Hollywood shit and mainstream Indian shit.

2 minute ads every 20-30 minutes
🙁

I've been working my way through Columbo and Midsomer Murders.
I love Columbo! One of a kind show. I was bummed when I ran through all the episodes. 🙁
Have you tried Rockford Files?
Very chill file, plus he drives picrel
Rockford Files is good, but there's nothing like Columbo for me.
>Midsomer Murders
i binged all 20-something seasons. love that show
>how do they do it?
By streaming it in shockingly low quality and riddling it with advertisements.
For me, it's Cadfael.
>has a whole category for old italian horror and giallo movies
Based as hell. Tubi shows how much the other services truly don't give a shit about having good film catalogs.
The ads and most of the movies are like DVD quality you would ger from a torrent in 2006. Some are straight up VHS rips.
Everything I've watched was 720p, which is much better than DVD.
A lot of the horror they have are actually new Blu Ray releases because Tubi has a deal with companies like Shout Factory that release them.
They may have come from BluRay, but unless I'm misinformed, 720p is the best resolution tubi offers.
Streaming a 720p Blu Ray release doesn't look too bad though. Better than DVD.
True enough. 720p is a workable resolution. But DVD @ 480p is pretty ragged.

for instance, watch picrel on Tubi right now
yeah this seems pretty good especially since you can block ads
Where can I stream xena? I can't find it anywhere
I watched the Conan tv series on Tubi was breddy gomfy.

They claim to have no interest in making people pay but who knows. Peacock was free up until like a year ago
