S4 of Farscape was pretty rough. That weird soft reboot at the beginning of the season, quite a lot of dub episodes earlier on, earth episodes were pretty disappointing . I've always maintained that S1 is better than S4 but I think a lot of people would disagree; S1 has a lot of charm even for its weaker episodes
Seconding DS9, and Malcolm in the Middle. I personally don't think Seinfeld's drop in quality from season 8 to 9 was all that huge. Show is still good from start to finish. Also Dark.
DS9 was incredible throughout its run. Even the weaker episodes still looked great and had a sense of quality. The competition, Babylon 5, was good, but got off to a rough start and didn't get good until midway into the first season, then got great from the beginning of the second season onward.
Frick off. Sisko and his son alone made it unwatchable. The le stronk wimminz symbiote just made it even worse. And the way they cucked Worf was inexcusable, and then outdone with the great cuckening of Bashir. Like what the FRICK even was that?
It was only because of Gul Dukat the entire thing is even worth a single watch. What a waste of a good character.
I caught a rerun of some 90's Columbo recently and it was a really trashy episode about a total nutjob kidnapping the wife of Columbo's nephew. It saddens me to say that Columbo doesn't make the cut.
I was mentioning to someone in a post a few weeks ago that this episode was the only bad episode in the series. They didn't follow their usual formula

Has any TV Show ever stayed good for its entire run?
The Ellery Queen TV show (1975-76) was good for it's entire run, but probably because it didn't last long on the air. A true Who-dunnit; you would see the story and clues, and he'd come back at the end and tell you who dunit.
Also had a very cool opening theme song, and "higgans" before Magnum PI
Miami Vice. Had about ten bad episodes and a couple unsolved plot points (like Tubbs' son being taken by the Calderones) but overall a solid 7.5/10 series throughout.
I heard it drops off after season 2, is that true?
I'm about halfway through season 2 and its fricking fantastic so far, if its this good all the way through it might be one of my favorite series ever
Everything is going to have a bad episode here are there, but a dip only comes from a string of awful episodes. DS9 never really has a long string of duds. And short of a few episodes it rarely delivers an outright bad episode. There's often a good b-plot holding a lesser episode up.
I remember the season before the Dominion get wiped out in the wormhole sucked because every episode was just boring military crap instead of interesting sci fi. Fortunately they learned from that and the rest of the show was great.
Season 6? That one has some great episodes though. Waltz, In the Pale Moonlight, The Sound of Her Voice, The Magnificent Ferengi, Who Mourns for Morn, Wrongs Darker than Death or Night, Inquisition, Profit and Lace.
>Stargate SG-1 >Stargate Atlantis
The draw of the shows for me is the comfy adventures and likable characters. The overarching plots not so much. The replacement characters Cameron, Vala and even Jonas were all great. >3rd Rock from the Sun
Best and underappreciated sitcom >Continuum
Cheesy show that might not appeal to everyone but the quality never dips. It ends before it loses it's charm. Kiera is hot I wanna bang her. Also Garza
I didn't like the drastic change in the show's tone halfway through.
BSG was great as a show where last humans remaining are escaping for their lives but they have to juggle military authority and civilian issues simultaenously while dealing with the deceptive killer bots. Also there's Gaius Baltar who is too horny and egotistic that he gets manipulated into helping the killer bots. Then they throw all that away to peddle the "killer bots are human too!" shit, final five, Kara's moses arc and Gaius is actually the chosen one or something. I only finished watching it cause there's hot women in it but season 3-4 were disappointing.

the writers keep going on about how it's all "planned out," but they had no fricking plan after season 2 since it was supposed to end by then. Kind of a product of it's time unfortunately, close-ended series like Breaking Bad weren't common or extremely popular and syfy wanted a primetime show to keep running so we got that fricking boxing episode and the fat apollo plotline.
I do not care for the hot pantsu one where Kevin burns down the store jerking off in the bathroom, still though, I wouldn't say it's terrible but neither the A plot or B plot are all the interesting.
Good one. A few years ago I decided to check it out after only seeing bits and pieces as a kid. I dreaded that it would be a mistake. I was blown away by how good it was from the beginning and how it was better than I remembered it. The last season is weaker than the others but it's still decent.
Take solace that Tales has never been revived. Not yet anyway. Until then, The Crypt Keeper is forever contained in the late 80s and early 90s. He is not tarnished. You can revisit him and never cringe at what he became. It's better this way.
>Tales has never been revived
Yes it was, it was revived into a series of movies that sucked and tarnished the reputation so much, HBO Max won't even put Tales from the Crypt on their own streaming service.
Seconding DS9, and Malcolm in the Middle. I personally don't think Seinfeld's drop in quality from season 8 to 9 was all that huge. Show is still good from start to finish. Also Dark.
Yes, DARK, 3 seasons, everything planned from the beginning, amazing if you wanna use your brain, if not you wouldn't last 2 episodes and would miss a great show
I think the last season is full of a lot of misses, but I do think there's still some good gags. I just wish the show ended on Breaking Up Is Easy to Do.
Farscape
The Sopranos
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Columbo's 90 episodes aren't that good tbqh

BSG definitely had a decline

homosexual

WRONG

Now that was a consistently good show.
Yes lots of them. It's only american shows that shit the bed, coz they drag them out too longe.
>Sopranos
Season 6 was a joke.
> Deep Shame 9

Malcolm In the Middle
Seventh season is straight dogshit, sorry anon. The german ranch owner ironically was the glue that held it together
frisky dingo
first season sucks
>DS9
very debatable. theres some crap in there but season by season i think its true.

That just isn't true about Malcom. It isn't as good as the other seasons but it doesn't suck
Agreed. I think season 1 just has a different feel but the quality is still there.
In recent years, Battlestar Galactica.
People will disagree with my opinions

The golden girls
LOST
Watchmen
Real answer is Mission Hill.
Only one season though so dunno if it counts.
I do not care for the hot pantsu one where Kevin burns down the store jerking off in the bathroom, still though, I wouldn't say it's terrible but neither the A plot or B plot are all the interesting.
I've honestly never noticed the drop in quality of Dexter.
In fact I think season 4 is vastly overrated
Did you watch Season 8?
not yet
because it was always shit
you fricking kidding me? S2 held it together on the momentum of S1, then it went to hard shit
Frick off back to plebbit
1 > 6 > 5 > 7 > 4 > 2 > 3
Now this is plebbit
List the supposed problems of later seasons then
Mad Men and Buffy are the only ones I personally know and I have watched a lot of Cinemaphile. I wish The OC ended after two seasons.
Buffy Season 6 is pretty rough if you watch it fresh and think the proto-incel nerd trio is going to be the endgame villain of the season.
Growing Pains and Taxi. Fraser.
The Shield
Justified
iCarly
Tales From The Crypt

I just miss when the Crypt Keeper owned the world.

Dark was getting worse each season and s3 was a steaming pile of shit.
The Sopranos
Deadwood
Rome
Brideshead Revisited
>Rome
season 2 was a thing
season 2 had the I FRICK CONCORD IN HER ASS scene
Deadwood somehow managed to start out great and then get better.
oh how could i forget about deadwood? swearengen is the goat villian.
Ned's Declassified
futurama until the movies
> until
black sails
The Rockford Files
twilight zone
Eastbound & Down
X Files was pretty nice, just don’t watch the homosexual revival series
you mean the one where alex jones is a critical member of the cast, literally right the entire time
The Wire season 5 was worse than the ones before, but it was still head and shoulders above other TV shows.
My fren, I think you may have hit your head on something. Wire season 5 is dogshit. It's some of the worst television I've ever seen.
King of the Hill stayed pretty good, although there was a drop in quality.
The original, not the bad reboot
Yes, DARK, 3 seasons, everything planned from the beginning, amazing if you wanna use your brain, if not you wouldn't last 2 episodes and would miss a great show
The IT Crowd has been great each season, and the ending is perfect
Mr. Bean. Also seconding Fraiser and The IT Crowd.
It really was. I am sad it didn't get another season, but at the same time I think that was for the better versus risk a drop in quality.
> Vice Principals
> Justified
> The Shield
Walton Goggins will always be watchable.
Banshee. The last season was the weaker one but it was still good.
Scrubs
>Married... with Children
Even in the later years when it became a live-action cartoon, it was still consistently funny.
I think the last season is full of a lot of misses, but I do think there's still some good gags. I just wish the show ended on Breaking Up Is Easy to Do.
Venture Bros
Curb your enthusiasm
Scrubs did
Not counting the last season, right?
