old media is full of woke trash as well. its just more subtle. they base the level of propaganda on what the viewer can stomach
for example in the 90's the really pushed the "foreign warrior has a special bond with the white mc" narrative

      how is that woke?

        Anonymous

Not who you're responding to but the 70s-90s had the precursor to woke ideology. Nowadays it's all about "equity" where Black folk and troons and whoever else needs over-representation so that they can compete with normal humans. In the 70s-90s it was equality, where it's more "see we're all different but we're all the same and valuable!"

        Anonymous

its woke because its racial political propaganda
they presented these characters as being relatable and amenable to contemporary american white culture
it appeared innocent in its day but with modern context we can see that it was all cynical manipulation to coax brain dead boomers into accepted their own demographic displacement

Lol. It's sad because it's true. Everything post World War 2 has been propaganda and that's why the world is the way it is now. All media since then is like israelites shitting on white people because they lost. Only low IQ people think wokeness is a modern thing. It's modern if you think in centuries and not decades but not modern otherwise.

what you are avoiding watching is the product of birdman effeminacy mindset. At least The Founder borders on inspirational if only because the creators and every redditor behind it are against everything entrepreneurs stand for and would seethe if they failed to demoralize as intended.

Wow one good movie. That is not enough to make me care about new films in general.

That's okay; you don't have to care. You can spend all day hiding threads like me. I'm sure the newniglets think I'm kidding but it's what I do.
I actually care less than anyone and that's why I spend so much time avoiding the people of Cinemaphile.
You shouldn't watch anything if you don't want to.

why would you even bother hiding threads

I don't like seeing certain stuff. Actually, I dislike most stuff and most people and that's why I hide.
It's like uh.... when you were in high school. Were you friends with everyone? Surely not. So... you'll just talk to the people you like and I dislike almost everyone. I hope that makes sense.

    >I can't believe you all consume it so obsessively

I'm a Cinemaphile oldgay (maybe the only one left) and I watch less stuff every year so "consume it obsessively" is far from true. I've seen 3 movies and 2 tv shows this year. Do you think that's too much? We're in June so that's like one show or movie a month.
Anyway, I spend most of my time hiding threads full of people arguing on Cinemaphile and then they make new threads that I hide as well. It's not very fun but one day I won't have to do it anymore.
I actually like this thread because OP seems to have upset the new people.

its preaching was heavy handed and while predictable, went about it in the most asinine fashion
          >hurr you have money so I'm going to murder you because I'm poor
It's clearly written by someone who got bullied by rich guys when he was younger. In reality, the upper classes tend to be incredibly nice people, well rounded and understanding of their privileges, "le evil money guy" is a Hollywood fantasy, ironically created by and starring people with more money than you'll make in 20 lifetimes.

          >Parasite — it’s the year’s most cynical movie title — kowtows to those privileged progressives who believe the old Communist adage “Property is theft.” Bong exaggerates this for Millennials by inviting them to enjoy class antagonism through the comedy of the Kims defrauding the Parks.

          >South Korean Bong differs from China’s Chow, a people’s artist whose films are extremely popular. Bong wants his politics both ways: targeting and humiliating the wealthy, high-living entrepreneurs while sentimentalizing and sympathizing with the dishonest, corrupt agitators who angle to swindle them. It’s Antifa comedy — Bong dismantles the idea of family and social unity (symbolized by despoiling a lavish Architectural Digest–style abode) from his own privileged perspective that flatters the self-righteous destructors, sucking up to the armchair radicals in his audience. If you want to know how leftist politics infect the cultural stream as “sick fun,” this is it.

          >Millennial social satirists don’t dare personal revelation. Bong repeats the same self-pleasing psychosis as in Call Me By Your Name when the grifter Kim father advises his son: “Live with no plan. Whether it’s killing someone or betraying your country, nothing matters.” Parasite’s award-winning nihilism proves why Chow is a filmmaker for the ages and Bong is a charlatan for the moment.

I don't know why morons insist you're supposed to wholeheartedly support the Kim family because they kill the rich, when they're shown to be just as ruthless to their fellow poor and even kill more of them.
