It's as if he made a wish to be a famous actor and it was granted. That we all just accept him as a great actor because the wish makes us just accept it. Yet.. he can't act at all and it's very obvious. It doesn't matter to anyone tho.
He's good enough at physical acting to be entertaining and engaging. He's improved enough compared to Dracula 1992 where any time he talked it pulled you out of the scene.
It's kind of why he worked so well as Ted and Neo. One's a stoner airhead, and the other is a shut-in autist turned superhero. As long as you cast him in the right roles, he nails it.
