Saw it when it was first released to video. Remember almost nothing about it.
Eeevryone hates this movie at least it seems that's the case for me. But I liked it, I watched it like 8 years ago. It wasn't spectacular or anything, but it was good. Better than most movies nowadays, and than 90% of marvel movies I watched. Thankfully, I haven't watched any dceu movie. I think it's just hated because it has nothing very special. It isn't gritty, mystical, of big proportions, an ultimate showdown, etc. It's just superman vs luthor. I'm the only one who remembers it
Yeah I saw it when it was in theaters. I remember it being a really long movie with nothing happening.
Same experience. He literally does nothing but lift shit the entire movie
I only remember the WROOONG meme
Pedo freemason shit
Might as well be called Superman Returns to rape kids
>Kevin Spacey rapes boys
>Bryan Singer rapes boys
>Movie features a little boy as one of the central characters
Frick, I sure hope he's okay.
Holy shitttttt I forgot about that, you think they took turns holy shit even that Indian guy came out as gay you reckon he’s involved
Thematically, in terms of trying to be a "smart", "deconstructivist" take on Superman and all that shit, this is the movie that Indians think Man of Steel is.
Man of Steel didn't deconstruct Superman, it reconstructed him.
Brainlet.
Brandon Routh was good Superman casting.
Kevin Spacey was good Lex casting.
Problem is that the material they were given was awful.
Yes, I think it's underrated. Kate Bosworth is a terrible cast for Lois and the character is written poorly, plus they could've mined the
>World learns to re-trust Superman
angle a bit better. But overall it's a lovely Superman movie with heart, soul and a story beyond just spectacle.
Also has one of my favourite Superman moments ever. Gives me chills every time:
Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane was fricking awful, not a single redeeming quality about her as a character.
Her entire marriage to Richard and fooling him into think the child is his, when it's Superman's and then fooling Superman when he comes back into making him think it's Richard's, gaslighting both of the men in her life.
Leading on Superman still accepting him taking her on a romantic flight, her constant lying to her husband.
It was a really bad plot point that should never have existed in a Superman movie and it ruined Lois Lane in that movie making her completely unlikeable.
Don't you have cats to feed and some boxed wine to drink?
He deserves more recognition.
He was shafted by an awful script. Glad he got some limelight in CW to make up for it.
suppose to be a direct continuation of Superman 2 or 3?? And they still used Luthor. Could have worked with another villain, movie was alright but it lacked a villain
PROS
> Spacey is a good Lex.
> Superman has cool boots.
> More serious even somber at times compared to the Reeves films.
> Incredible plane rescue.
> I honestly liked Bosworth as Lois, not half as much as Amy Adams but still immeasurably more than Kidder.
> I liked her interaction with Cyclops.
> Good music & opening credits.
CONS
> Whole film too nostalgic & imitative of the Reeves films.
> Spacey still wayed down a bit much by the Gene Hackman version of the character.
> Plot with Superman having a child, and I don't even care about or agree with the whole "deadbeat dad" bullshit.
> The lack of clarity on wether or not Lois remembers that Clark is Superman.
> Hated Parker Posey in this & that is saying something as I liked her in Scream 3.
> Other than the S, the boots & darker toned red, the Superman outfit still sucked & looked cheap.
>spacey was a good lex
WROOONNNGGGGGGGG
>PROS
That Mini gun bank robbery.
>likes Amy Adams Lois
>hates Margot Kidder Lois
Sorry anon, but you've got such shit taste here that I'm going to have to discard the rest of your opinion out of hand
Absolute worst Superman movie ever but the plane sequence is unironically EPIC
>t. Hasn't seen Superman 3, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, Man of Steel or Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice
I actually like Superman 3, the others are bad for various reasons, but they are at least not cucking Superman. Clark & Lois is always a thing otherwise you get this bastard universe where Lois is fricking an NPC.
NGL I kind of like Superman 3 too. The evil Superman shit is fun and every once in a while there's a clever bit of humor or something that cracks me up
>Jimmy: "Chief, I didn't have my camera"
>Perry: "Jimmy a good photographer eats with his camera, a good photographer sleeps with his camera"
>Lois holds up a pen
>Lois: "I'm glad I'm a writer."
>lifts daily planet globe
>lifts Lois
>lifts a ship
>lifts a plane
>lifts a mountain
Yea I remember how fricking boring and moronic this film was, should have guessed when it was directed by a literal grooming Pedo homosexual
>Dropped truth justice and the American way
>Superman doesn't really fight at all in the movie
It was mostly boring with a few cool sequences in it.
It’s kind of sad that we still don’t have a Superman movie with cool fight scenes where Superman kicks ass.
>b-b-but muh snyder
Snyder’s Superman is famous for getting decked almost constantly. The only time he kinda wrecks is Justice League and I’m 90% sure that was Whedon’s influence restraining some of Snyder’s crappiest tendencies.
>Could've been Batman Begins for Superman if not for Singer being an absolute Dinner autist and making Returns a sequel.
How can Supergays consistently fumble the ball every time they get a chance. Gunn's superman looks like it's gonna be another dud
>Donner autist
It's the best Superman movie, easily
>B-but he no fistfight Zod or Doomsday
kys
Zack Sneeder wishes he could make as kino a scene as this
saw it at the movies when it was released, cool intro credits and the plane scene was cool...I think that's it really lol. I just remember the ugly Lois and her incredibly flat ass
I know I saw this in theaters but remember nothing other than the gunshot to the eye scene.
I saw it and wanted to kiss him
what were they thinking?
>Superman is back
>he catches a plane that was attached to a rocket that malfunctioned for no reason and Lois happened to be on it
>there's a kid that's very obviously Superman's but they pretend it isn't for 90% of the movie
>Lex Luthor does nothing but ham it up and steal kryptonite off screen until the finale
>Superman just lifts progressively heavier things
just lifts progressively heavier things
he's just like me
>Luthor does nothing but ham it up and steal kryptonite off screen
Lex was very much on screen when he stole the kryptonite
Why didn't WB make another Donner clone instead of joyless grim dark Man of Steel?
Good thing Gunn will save us by copying Donner again.
I thought this scene was pretty cool as a kid
Superman II > MoS > Superman (‘77) > Superman Returns > Superman III >>>>>>>>>>> Superman IV
https://lex-wrong.ytmnd.com/
Frick how you feeling and frick forgiveness (Frick them). Shit get dark
I remember watching this and liking it. Lex tricked Superman into landing on an island he had made out of kryptonite I think.
Singer and Spacey must have been thrilled to torment Routh.
It's shockingly dull. Fricking nothing going on.
its pretty good
Saw it in the theatre.
Solid Superman movie and solid follow-up to Donner.
Parker Posey is a dime and Kate Bosworth was a good Margot Kidder.
I like Routh as the successor to Reeve.
Why is this the only piece that is not available in UHD? At least I want it.
I liked it
A good superman but a shit script. Saw it in the kinoplex, it was okay.
Has anyone played it?
I remember downloading the demo. It was fun flying around as Superman. They really need to make a War World Superman game where he's a depowered prisoner. Start small like they did with the arkham games
yes it fricking sucked
>Has anyone seen it?
yeah my mom liked it too
second best looking superman (after reeves of course)
also spicy did nothing wrong
I like his acting aside from his humanity
https://dailyrobotcompliment.com/Kevin
Lois was really cute here. I wish more women like this still existed, small, cutey grey mouse-tier women like this.
Its a good movie. Plane scene is really cool.
