Same reason MaRey Sue started and gained prevalence.
Fascinating that she’s returning for more movies after her trilogy killed the franchise
>killed the franchise
Is that why they're still pumping out tv shows, books and games?
And how many films have come since Rise of Skywalker?
I’ll wait
All the TV shows spawned from the surprise success of Mandalorian S1, not the sequel trilogy. The sequels were so bad they killed Toys R Us.
zombie's are animated but they're not alive
Disney is going to pump Star Wars, Marvel and remakes for everything they've got. It's all they have left.
Because most people don't write about his fricking personality.
They just keep "reinventing" his rouges and shit.
I'm a woke-lib troony homosexual.
Star Wars lost all cultural relevance after Rise of Skywalker. Nobody believes it *can* be good anymore.
Andor and Mandalorian still have relevance, and I mean actual normie relevance. A new movie might not do a billion dollars in revenue, but it'd still be successful if they don't massively frick it up like they did with TLJ+ROS.
Fricking Star Wars not being expected to make a Billion Dollars is devastating to the brand
That's like if new Dragonball content wasn't popular among hispanics
it'd be irrecoverable
Where did the "X needs to be THE #1 most popular and talked about thing on the planet or else it's a total flop worth nobody's time" mindset come from? Why is having a happy little cult following no longer acceptable? What happened to the time honored hipster battle cry of "It's popular, so it sucks"?
Well what else is she going to do? Career not doing so hot these days
>>has some of the best most interesting stories out there that focus on his desire to belong, something everyone can relate to
Such as?
Answering this person's post would directly relate to the OP and directly propose critical a challenge to the nay-sayer's. No one is answering it. Not even OP. Which really shows how sloppy Cinemaphile's discussions are more than anything.
And you didn’t answer it because….?
I’ll wait for you to scramble to make a retort
Because I don't find superman relatable but am willing to have my thoughts challenged. Enough with the 'gotcha' attempts.
I simply asked a question chum
How often was Superman rejected by society?
Why is a story about someone who's almost universally beloved, wanting to be even more beloved, supposed to be relatable?
Read Secret Origin + Superman and the Legion of Superheroes
>>has some of the best most interesting stories out there that focus on his desire to belong, something everyone can relate to
Literally, the only memorable stories Superman has going for him are the ones when he's dying or going away.
Lemme guess, Spider cuck fan?
How’s the riveting Paul storyline going
You're insane.
You didn’t answer my question
Oh no wait, don’t tell me you’re a Batfrick fan! Ah yes the exemplorary “Joker does something…BUT HE MEANS IT THIS TIME!” storyline again! 8th one this decade alone yes?
This is why we can't have good threads. Because of homosexuals like you.
>comes in and makes a moronic claim
>people assume he’s moronic and make one back
>”NO YOU CAN’T DO THAT! THIS IS WHY WE CAN NEVER HAVE GOOD THREADS”
Anon made a claim
You're making projections
And even if by chance you've made some correct assumption, it's still moronic because you're saying his argument doesn't matter because he likes something unrelated.
You made- sorry, “HE” made a stupid claim and got mocked for it
No his opinion does not matter. This is the internet. Neither does mine. Deal with it wimp or go to a safe space like Twitter
>Deal with it wimp or go to a safe space like Twitter
You're the one losing your composure over an opinion, morono.
I’m not the one who started crying because people called me out kid, sorry “no, u! I’m totally calm…” only works on sites like Reddit
assume he’s moronic and make one back
It's just you moron.
Supercuck
Sounds like Superman is black coded then.
Supes is fun with the more lighthearted stories where he's juggling his secret identity with superheroing, but as a straight up superhero who fights evil, there isn't much you can do with him.
You either need the villain to be as insanely OP as he is, or some contrived bullshit like kryptonite around for there to be any sort of threat (or Supes just being plain stupid)
>When did this meme start and why is it so prevalent
It started with shallow normies who never actually read comics and just judge everything based on the latest, visual-media representation of it or adaption of it, like movies or shows.
>a futuristic clubhouse of superheroes were inspired by you and try to welcome you to hang out but you flunk it
>Lex Luthor devises a futuristic gun using junk to screw with Superman
>For the Man who has Everything
>Superman Birthright
>Superman Peace on Earth
>Superman/Shazam
>Superman for all seasons
I don't read alot of comics
>When did this meme start
When execs realized that women fricking love watching Clark and Lois in soap opera drama storylines, which in turn made them less appealing to men who just want to see Superman punch things.
we didn't listen
BTFO eternal ass devastation
>ignores the HUNDREDS of other superheroes born with powers who have a secret identity where they pretend to be normal
That still includes Superman as a prime example btfo again
Bill doesn't understand Superman and it's part of his character that he thinks Superman is always Superman. Clark Kent and Superman are both the "real" Superman, with bits of exaggeration and persona to them. When he retires the Clark identity, he'd likely go by Kal-El, and be a mix of both Clark and Superman.
>Superman is boring
>OH YEAH YOU SPIDEYKEK YOU LIKE PAUL DON'T YOU HU H
The absolute state of Supergays. Clark deserves his gay son.
Why didn’t you reply directly? I’m guessing because you didn’t have an actual rebuttal
Sad
Are you going to bring up Spiderman for no reason, you stupid idiot?
Still not a rebuttal, sad
Superman and Spider-Man are the best capeshit characters by far and their companies are too moronic to utilize them properly
When the first movie came out, there are people who were bored with that movie.
I honestly don’t know where it began? Like literally every media out the has Superman struggling one way or another.
Superman's only memorable stories are the ones where he's getting murdered or dying of a disease.
The entire Byrne and Johns run don't have that
Why does Superman have these types of threads? He is the only character that this happens to.
No, stop, go frick yourself and leave
We’re not turning this into a shitper thread for you gays, this is strictly Superman
Frickin hell Star Wars hijacked a Superman thread.
But yeah Superman's powerset makes people think that big flashy action beats are his defining characteristic but what is powers actually do is give him a relentlessly empathetic perspective.
Soulvision is a mistake. All-Star did that concept better
Did the empathic stuff only really occur during the bronze age?
Any silver age Recs?
Yup
That soul vision shit was so fricking moronic. Superman isn't a fricking vegetarian.
