>the half that played the games love them and never watched the show
>they get into extreme arguments over if the thing they didn't play/watch is irrevocably shit
Why is this show like politics for everyone involved? Is this just what 2024 is like?
Bear & Bull was funny. No-one went into schizo rants over that.

How do you know you don't like a movie or show unless you watch it?
i just know
I can tell by the trailer or just reading about it before watching it. I'm never wrong.
How can you train your faculty of judgement if you only indulge in films that you know you'll like?
>how will you learn to properly judge things if you only watch things that you have judged to be likely to enjoy???
moron
You presupposing that you'll like or dislike them which is different than honest judgement
Dumbass
>get information
>hmm this seems like something i will not like
>NOOOO YOU HAVE TO EAT THE PILE OF SHIT IT MIGHT BE DELICIOUS
frick off gay moron
thats what Cinemaphile is for idiot
True, maybe all of those bronies were right all along. Time for everyone on Cinemaphile to give MLP a chance
reddit argument
How do you know you don't like reddit if you're never browsed it? Checkmate atheist
you think this is a gotcha but i tried reddit and come to my own conclusions, unlike the npc (You) are who just blindly follows others.
Got some bad news for you anon, you have severe autism

you mean browses a website where unpopular opinions are censored by design?
By having a brain
Easy: If I like the premise and the cast then it's good. If the premise does not interest me or if there are no young and handsome main characters then it's bad.
>How do you know you don't like a movie or show unless you watch it?
if you know what you like you can just simply tell, like how the disney star wars movies are like disjointed fever dreams, I certainly didn't enjoy them, it felt like an attack on my sensibilities so I am not going to trip over myself to go see the next one
by seeing clips of moronic shit
>nonstop weird sex shit and interracial propaganda
>idiotic flying power armor like its a star wars bounty hunter suit
>le heckin epic ghoul chad finds singular bullet sized flaw in power armor with one shot meant not only to be bullet proof, but also air tight and highly radiation resistant
>guess not lol
i dont need to know more

feel free to prove any of those things wrong then
You don't need to eat shit to know it has an awful taste.
smelled like crap, turned out was one
The Black person test
I hate when normies act like this without comprehending how many clips of moronic scenes I've seen or plot synopses
>How do you know you don't like a movie or show unless you watch it?
A fairly innocent but also somewhat pointless question. Not going to spend time watching a comedy like Louie if I am a fan of serious sci-fi or fantasy. You can interpret the tone of a show/movie well enough from ads, clips, trailers, and the audience that is attracted to a show or any other given media product. You then make your decision to say "I have no interest in buying or subscribing to this particular product" and move on with your day like any damn adult would. There is too much content out there and not enough time in the day, if there is a more than 66% chance it isn't for you why spend the time on it.
It's clearly an adaptation of specifically Fallout 4's take on the series and Fallout 4 was shit.
It’s the best selling one and troony Vegas is no longer canon
I guess that objectively makes Avatar the best movie of all time if sales are all that matters.
Yes
I wouldn't pay a single cent to hear your opinions so I guess by your logic they're the worst opinions on the planet.
The important thing is that troony Vegas is no longer canon
Rent free. Both trannies and NV.
It's shown to have:
>interratial relationship
>trans people on unironic roles of their made up gender
>evil guys are white, good guys are women or minorities
>overrepresented minorities
>unironic pronoun pandering
I can digest some of it, but not all at once
relationship
>trans people on unironic roles of their made up gender
Literally doesn't happen moron
>overrepresented minorities
Yeah it's kinda moronic, but they probably didn't have a choice in this one the studios literally demand this shit before it can get funding
relationship
The ghoul's Black person daughter you lying troon
You gotta understand man people just want you's they only post webms of culture war bullshit so that you give them their precious you's.
First of all, only the main woman is "good" but also laughed at for being naive and almost kills her to be good several times. The black guy is objectively an evil b***h who puts a razor in some girls boot and kills his partner to steal his suit. So you can't always judge a show based on webms.
>made by amazon
it’s not hard
i decide based on vibes if it appeals to my political sensibilities and consumer preferences

They've been sold on the lie that consumption habits are equivalent to participation in politics.
Fellow Cinemaphile posters aren't your friends. Stop calling us that.
They are not my friends?
The only good Fallout game is New Vegas, sick of Bethesda dicksucking.
We're sick of your dick sucking
Cope
>Bethesda dicksucking.
You can see Todd panicking in interviews now. With the show raising Fallout's recognition levels into the public consciousness the demand for a new game is rising equally as quickly. And he knows damn well the team he currently has at Bethesda isn't capable of creating anything new on their own, or working with any other engine than their gamebyro junk.. Esp. doing it within 2-3 years.
Microsoft might take it off them and throw the IP at someone else.
You know, I still don't get this cutscene. I thought that the Enclave was supposed to be collecting prime humans to repopulate/rebuild the U.S., so why kill the vault dwellers?
That was Vault 13 they hit. They were chasing some particular genetic thing IIRC. Then they found out about Arroyo and hit that too. Betting it was tied to Hakunin/The Chosen one's psionic/long distance telepathy thing.
the guys who made the cinematic actually just wanted to make a cool intro. My headcanon was the enclave only killed those 3 peeps at the door to shock the vault into submission
It was that and you establish that they are the bad guys at the same time. I can't quite remember but i think they where using the people from vault 13 to test if the vaccine agienst the fev was working I guess the figured the enclave had enough people to repopulate on their own.
this is the kind of person that will complain for hours about the show not being "lore accurate" despite having never even played the originals
preach xister!
The only good Fallouts are 1 and 2, you wienersucker.
The only good fallout is 1. 2 is 90s reference city.
They're all bad
It’s not canon anymore
Actually, its the only canon first person fallout game.
troony Vegas BTFO!!!
I still dont understand where the association of trannies came from and New Vegas?
Fricking moron Todd said in an interview it's cannon. He also was surprised by how many morons can't read a timeline.
Troon
desu, if you're mostly a fan of 3 and 4 (which is most fans), the show is better.
Fans of 3 & 4 (recognizable by how often they post their hatred of 1, 2 and NV) might as well be Star Wars fans.
1 and 2 have aged horrifically, I'm convinced nobody except contrarians and genuine autists can enjoy it
Are you just a gamerlet who can't into crpgs or do you have any actual criticisms of them?
The map was too empty and the combat system was fricking beyond tedious
Fair, although I think the locations that were on the map were all interesting and varied from one another.
I also think the art and writing, especially in Fallout 1, really nails a post apocalyptic USA better than any game that came after.
There's no such thing as aging, if games are good on release, they'll still be good 20 years later.
Fundamentally wrong statement
Literally what I said but ok
The art style is great but they carried it over into 3 which is way more enjoyable for me
>literally what I said
No it wasn't. You said it aged, and the only way that makes sense is if Fallout was Benjamin Button and came out of the gate age 84, dumbass.
People have been gaslit into thinking the first entries in a series are incapable of being viewed as bad.
Frick no, Fallout 1 was bad out of the gate. It was released in 1997. That's far too late for it to be as broken as it is, for it to be as easy and handheld as it is, for the combat to be as tedious and filled with nonsense as it is, for the skill and perk system to be as shallow as it is, for player's dialogue to be so limited and poorly written, and generally just fricking amateur hour bullshit.
The only thing slightly redeemable about Fallout 1 is the art, the setting, and some of the writing for the characters. It's why, when people complain about the later Fallouts--and to keep it on-topic, when they complain about the TV show--they are entirely focused on writing, setting, and canon, because when you actually play it, the old Fallouts were just as buggy, boring, and shallow as the 3D ones.
Go suck a dick, homosexual. All of the things you mentioned are why the isometric Fallouts are good. Setting, writing, characters, art direction, animations and particularly the gameplay.
That's also why NV is shit. Even if you have decent writing, the shitty Bethesda engine, the awful gameplay and the fricking horrible grey, washed out graphics and art direction completely ruin it.
I remember playing the demo when it came out and then the excruciatingly long wait until the game came out. And then I pirated it on mIRC but they got it down to 100MB by cutting all the music and animated/voice acted dialogues so I wound up getting it for my birthday a month later and starting over from the beginning.
It's literally just a turn based RPG. They release them now, and they're still popular if they have a bit of marketing buzz behind them (Balder's Gate 3).
What about it has aged so terribly? The pre-rendered 3d looks nice, the writing is engaging, the gameplay is fun.
Bethesda's games looked and played like ass at launch, frankly. That engine was already ten years old and showing it's clunkiness when F3 came out.
>What about it has aged so terribly?
NTA but the gameplay mechanics, particularly combat. Many games have done turn based combat better. That being said the graphics haven't aged as bad as many other PC games, and the story and world are still top notch
this gay screams and jumps on a chair when he sees a mouse
>1 and 2 have aged horrifically
Only in gameplay. The story is better than 4 and not even comparable to the AI generated story of 3
I haven't played FO 1 or 2 but I've played infinity engine RPGs from the same time period (as well as strategy games like HOMM3 and MoO2) and they all held up fine with the recommended QoL mods and patches. Old game = bad is one of the most normie takes you can have about vidya because it means that you got completely filtered by graphics and old fashioned GUI.
Ehh it's a bit rough to start whit but once you get into it and past the clunky controls it's honestly not to bad
> if you're mostly a fan of 3 and 4 (which is most fans
Yeah but they're literal morons
>a fan of 3 and 4
so the average mindless drone thinks its good? whoah
The thing that infuriated me about the show was that they never once showed the characters' character sheets. They were THIS close in the beginning scene by talking about Lucy's speech skill. All they needed to do was make her "joke" about she was a 4 in guns, etc. Have Maximus pull out a BoS card that shows his personal skills, etc. It pissed me the frick off that the show didn't bother with this and we had to assume what their skills were.
it needs to still be understood by people who have never seen a character sheet. they're out there, playing fantasy football instead
This would've been ridiculous. Should we be shown the pipboy menu too every time they draw their weapon?
More proof that the morons who watch this show don't want an interesting narrative, just a bunch of disjointed references to the games.
i played the games and felt like it hit most of the notes i wanted it to 🙂
People who hate the Fallout show will never get offered sex by a Vault 33 bawd.
people who watch the show know the suit isnt that fitting
Tolkien fanbase > fallout fanbase
Too much leftists in the fallout fanbase
Just play new vegas
>had to listen autisitc guy try and explain to normie who watched the show but never played the games why the show was bad and why he should play new vegas
It was one of the most painful things Ive ever had to witness.
preach it anon
it happens all the time
I've been that autistic doing the explanation
>and you gotta deal with it
I haven't talked to normies in forever.
I find it funny how Amazon actually made a show where you actually need to have played the games before to fully understand everything that's happening (they don't explain bottlecaps for instance). The secondaries who watch this shit and talk about it without reference to the games just instantly reveal they're only capable of enjoying things at the surface-level while the creators of this adaptation actually did care about the IP for once and obviously so do the true fans.
tl;dr normies gonna norm, I only discuss television & film on Cinemaphile where I can at least pretend I'm talking to people who are (I'm gonna say the Twitter troony word)... MEDIA LITERATE
>need to have played the games before to fully understand
>bottlecaps
never played or watched.
They're a semi scarce thing used as a currency, right? Why would this not be immediately apparent to a viewer on first seeing them used for trade? Seems pretty simple to me, like if you had a primitive tribe using seashells
>he doesn’t know
caps are a fiat currency backed by water
Caps hasn't been used on the West Coast as currency since Fallout 2.
And the show takes place 200 years after the bombs fell, which would be 60 years after Fallout 2.
Always bothered me how in 3 and 4 you just start collecting bottlecaps before you have any notion that they're used as currency.
In Fallout 1, because core theme of Fallout 1 is that water is life, water is power. Water traders are the biggest organization in the game, your quest is to secure water for your people, the main antagonist dips people into magical FEV water to turn them into supermutants. Meanwhile Fallout 3's story is that THERE IS NO FRICKING WATER
Not a fiat currency if it's backed by something
It intially starts as 1-1 physically backed equivalent for water, but then NCR coins superceded it. When the NCR's gold reserve gets destroyed, bottlecaps return as a fiat currency
I have a friend who love it too, he has only played Fallout 3 and Fallout 4.
He loved it but when I talked about how it breaks lore he just says "is still good"
>only played Fallout 3 and Fallout 4
Grim.
Boomerr, stop winning on internet, you'll grt a heart attack.
Zoom zoom
Fallout 2 was a shit game for its time, its literally a reskin of the 1 that came out 5 years previously. The writing of 1 wasnt even good for its time.
>its literally a reskin of the 1 that came out 5 years previously
That's Fallout 3, aka: Oblivion with guns
obsidian are the single most overrated studio in existence
Fallout 1 came out the year before bro
>only played Fallout 3 and Fallout 4.
the worst kind of fans. atleast people who have not played the game dont know any better.
>he has only played Fallout 3 and Fallout 4
one he plays 76 its over for him. Take him out behind the barn
i'm a fallout nerd whose fav is F2 and I loved the show. people complaining about it are miserable autists. the show is as lore accurate as a series like Fallout, which is full of retcons and inconsistencies in the core games anyway, can be. it's an enjoyable show and services the lore and universe very well. I'm not going to lose sleep over homosexuals on the internet complaining about the accuracy of a fictional universe that has been written by dozens of people in different companies across 3 decades.
>I love everything
>Poeple are miserable if thye don't watch NEW PRODUCT from STREAMINING SERVICE
You are just a shill
if you don't like the show because you just didn't enjoy the show then whatever I'm just saying people trying to say the show sucks because of some obscure lore shit they probably don't even understand to begin with are moronic. personally I liked it despite going in expecting it to be Amazon slop (and to some extent it was, the weird troony character and the interracial couple leads made my eyes roll but pushing past it the show itself was good). also if I were a shill I wouldn't be able to call you a fricking homosexual b/c big tech like Amazon literally have word filters for shit like "blacklist" ever since St Floyd died
>the show is as lore accurate as a series like Fallout, which is full of retcons and inconsistencies in the core games anyway
Bullshit, Bethesda is just so bad at writing people have accepted it as normal. Yes, there are retcons between Fallout 1, 2 and NV, but they aren't outright contradictions that make one mutually exclusive with the other. Moving Shady Sands 20 miles is completely different from moving it to 200 miles. You can retcon shit for the sake of advancing the story or you can retcon shit to confuse the frick out of viewers if they start asking questions. The Vault experiments were a retcon but it didn't contradict Fallout 1.
whatever, they still just destroyed shady sands off camera because they were too moronic to tell a story in an existing world. they just had to reset the status quo so they can tell their own bullshit story
they didnt tho, youve just let your emotions get monetized by culture warrior influencers
they literally did.
What the Fallout writers did is the improv equivalent of saying "no" instead of "yes and..."
every interview and statement had said theres no retcon on shady sands. This is completely a case of someone getting worked up over something theyre wrong about. You can argue they used used misleading language and couldve been more clear, but if youre actually gonna say that its reasonable to have an emotional reaction to a misleading easter egg someone had to point out for you... ill just call you pathetic and we can move on
>no retcon on shady sands.
at what point did I claim there was a retcon? you just assumed that was my argument without reading what I wrote because you're a fricking NPC.
>no thats not my point!!!
>heh, no you dont get it, if you did youd see how smart i am!!
why is this such a popular thing for redditors to say? Its like theyre lawyers protecting their own ego at any cost, as if failure to communicate isnt a failure itself
so whats your argument? we know nothing about shady sands except something bad happened there. Your emotions over anything shady sands related is pathetic, my insult stands
let me break it down for you
>they destroyed Shady Sands off camera
>I don't like that they did that l
>I think it is boring to just wipe the slate clean instead of trying to integrate your characters into a pre-existing situation.
>we know nothing about shady sands except something bad happened there
you do realize shady sands is an established location from other games, right?
>why is this such a popular thing for redditors to say?
it's something anyone would say if their point is being misrepresented or misunderstood.
>it's not a retcon it's just canon now 😉
Frick you it's deleting the biggest faction around and it doesn't even make sense because they're so big nuking Shady Sands wouldn't get rid of them
>everything is fine
As the house burns around him
>no Matthew Perry to appear in New Vegas
RIP
they would've made him black anyways lol
>matthew perry in black face
I thought that wasn't allowed anymore?
Fallout4>Fallout3>NV>OldOut
I like the show. It has flaws but I expected less. Would recommend
I found the game boring and never really got into it, the TV show was entertaining, even though it had to include American race demographics including a tiny israelite character.
it's a very lazily written and produced show.
Sounds like a larp anon, I played the game and didn't care that Shady Sands was a few miles to the West in the show.
The show is fun, imperfect but okay, only deep lore autists and chuds would hate it. Also half the hate comes from morons Ho didn't even watch the show.
>the half that watched the show love it and never played the games
That's the same with every videogame adaptation, you think people watched the RE Movies for the games? they watched for Milla and wherever moronic plot they put her in
Because the casting and plot are a direct result of far left politics, you fricking idiot.
The shitty writing, acting, directing and CGI are secondary.
thaddeus is sexy hot
Shows like this are made for people who enjoy paying for streaming services first and foremost and may have heard of the source material in passing and then obviously you get the e-celeb shills who just happen to recommend you get back into Fallout 4 and 76 right NOW!
>may have heard of the source material
I have a sneaking suspicion that zoomers and Gen A now just in general dont play games, but watch like 5 hour long youtube videos about older games and then decide thats their favorite game
I have a 10 yo nephew whos obsessed with FNAF and has never played any of them. He likes the toys and character designs ect.
>zoomers and Gen A now just in general dont play games, but watch like 5 hour long youtube videos about older games
They also do this with movies, there a lot of 5+ hours long youtube videos "explaining" infinity war, dune, star wars...
I wouldn't play video games if youtube existed when I was kid either. Imagine infinite content catered to you since you were a child. That shit is practically magic and also scary as frick.
>have a 10 yo nephew
nice
FNAF is a rare case of not needing to play the game to enjoy it, it doesn't have good gameplay and the only reason it became so popular was thanks to "Let's play" youtubers overreacting for their videos. Can't think of any other good examples right now, but FNAF is a game purely used by e-celebs to create parasocial content. It's like watching a scary movie with a friend
I'm the same with warhammer, haven't bought a miniature since I was 12, never played any of the video games, just watch other people play them, read the lore and watch CGI made by autistic slavs
it is just easier than making a commitment and spending hours on it, which I don't have
Pretty comfy set up not gonna ngl on you man
Camel cigs aside
No one cares about this gay ass show you stupid pajeet homosexual
but thaddeus is so sexy hot
Why did the Brotherhood guy just decide to drop down in the middle of nowhere like that? They mention that they still have a long ways to go until their drop off point. They had no like sensor type of thing to pick up clues that he would find interesting, so you cant claim that. You also cant claim it was like intuition either, because he doesnt even notice the clues there, his squire points it out and he doesnt seem to care. You also cant say "oh, he noticed the radiation from the cave" because hes clearly scared and panics and doesnt want to go in there.
he just wanted to frick around with Maximus
He literally says he wants to shoot something.
It's so good though, minus the few globohomosexual licks like the troony in the brotherhood
>Michael Emerson appears in the second episode
>immediately becomes the best (read: only good) character in the show
>realizes he's trapped in the plot of Fallout 3 but in California
>immediately kills himself
so fricking based
>Is this just what 2024 is like?
No motherfricker this is what taking FICTION too seriously looks like
You know, a thought occured to me that Maximus could be Walton's grand-grand-grand son.
>ghoul character is revealed to be someone's grandpa
this already happened in Nuka Break lol
I watched the show, liked it for what it was and I've played all the games except 76, brotherhood of steel and tactics. Quite frankly I don't give a shit if someone says that I'm wrong, to me this show was decent to good entertainment. I've talked to my friends about it who have also played the games and they don't give a shit about it so I dropped the subject. I don't understand why some people get so extremely angry over something so trivial.
The show is actually pants on head moronic. From the common sense point of view I don't understand how the show actually started or what it even tried to get across, nothing about order of events and chain of events makes sense and when you ask show questions you are being "nitpicky" when the show is a mystery thriller that wants to be asked questions, and its themes are incoherent except the basic "the victim was actually the villain the entire time" twist. And when you nitpick clear inconsistencies with the games you are a virgin hater and Fallout games have always been inconsistent. Extremely bizzare case of handwaving of any pretty legitimate criticisms. Like how it doesn't make sense that the Ghoul used the power armor flaw (which is shooting at its torso) against first knights he encountered but not Maximus and then also pointing out that Titus's armor has a different type of welding possibly making it so that the flaw of shooting at its torso probably wouldn't have worked on his armor, which definitely means that Ghoul didn't try the flaw on Maximus because he has no way of knowing that Titus's armor has different welding and he would have no basis to presume the flaw would work on power armor type he's somehow unfamiliar with, despite being a Ghoul for centuries and never coming across T-60s prior to this show somehow even. The entire show is just an AI generated image, the more you look at it, the more you ask it questions, the dumber it gets. I can't believe someone genuinely got paid to write pic related, no one even bothered to check how this scene would retroactively apply both to Goggins's character/history and participation in the show. He didn't even know he would have to fight knights in the NCR headquarters, that was entirely coincidental with Maximus failing upwards and Quintus just deciding to trust Maximus where cold fusion is despite lying to his face just minutes prior.
You just have autism
>The entire show is just an AI generated image, the more you look at it, the more you ask it questions, the dumber it gets
THIS ANON UNDERSTANDS
I could argue with you and cope about how each vague story telling beat was ACKSHUALLY salavagable by my mental gymnastics apologia but you're right. The story teller is THAT flawed. The story told, eh, plausibly deniable events but not a coherent narrative no matter how you dice it.
>Be 200+ year old marine
>Go to collect what should be an easy bounty
>Guy in power armor shows up out of nowhere and tries to fist fight, but doesn't really know what he is doing in the armor
>"well that was unexpected"
>decide to get some armor piercing rounds, just in case
>Find out Fishbait, who is also claiming the bounty, is probably related to a pre-war guy you hate to your core
>New target acquired
>Some Brotherhood guys are in the way
>clown on them like the clowns they are
>Armor piercing rounds + previous experience using the armor lets you beat them
>Guy in power armor shows up out of nowhere and tries to fist fight, but doesn't really know what he is doing in the armor
>"well that was unexpected"
You forgot the part where he was seeing his bounty slipping past his fingers as he was right then and there to grab it and actually had more reason to use "the flaw" on Maximus than he had to approach the knights in episode 8 at all. When he clearly gained the high fricking ground over him at least?
>decide to get some armor piercing rounds, just in case
No, the implication is clearly that he always has special rounds on him at all times, he's a walking gameplay mechanics reference (like picking up cherry tomatoes to restore health or essentially using VATS). There's zero evidence to suggest he didn't already have armor piercing rounds on him against Maximus and just didn't use them and wasted his bullets shooting at him and he also had no logical reason to assume he would have to tackle any knights at all in NCR observatory, the place, the place of the enemies of Brotherhood of Steel.
Even writers understand the story is stupid and characters are stupid in it, which is why none of the main characters canonically have INT over 5. These writers are incapable of writing better than that.
>not maxing out one of the stats
You Zoomers are lucky you got anything remotely resembling the game you played or anime you watch.
Millenials had to stick with Double Dragon movie or the Mario Bros movies. For an entire decade we only had Mortal Kombat, which isn’t even as violent.
You get like 6 hours of footage and multimillionaire effects budgets and still complain.
The Mario Bros movie is kino though.
>You get like 6 hours of footage and multimillionaire effects budgets and still complain.
Because they are shit and shouldn't be made, let alone be made in current era
I haven't heard anyone say they love it. At best they say it's decent, unenthusiastically.
>have friends
doubt
Ive played the games and watched the show and think it was actually pretty decent. Sure there were a couple moronic moments, mostly from the black BoS Forrest Gump.. but overall its what youd expect from primarily 3/4 games. I never beat the first one, but kinda liked Fallout 2 and Tactics, and New Vegas the best. Lore "purists" will b***h about movie, book or game adaptations until the end of time. Its a show..based on a game world. Grow up
I actually like how the brotherhood initiate seems to represent a certain kind of player, which is the player who basically just idolises the BoS and want to get to the cool armour. I assume they did that on purpose.
It's objective shit. If you like this show you need to fricking widen your viewing experience or read a fricking proper novel. I couldnt sit through the first episode. How can any self respecting person think its good? I dont even care about the lore stuff beyond dumbass shit like achually america nuked itself on purpose for reasons
>doesn't want schizo rants
>goes to Cinemaphile
I don't watch things that have blacks in the main cast
>has never seen rocky, star wars, predator and hundreds of other amazing movies
Star Wars only has Lando later on, and Vader's voice (body played by a white guy)
The best star wars still has a black as part of the main cast.
fallout has two black people in it. One is evil. Not watching a show because it has a couple black cast members is fricking moronic and you're missing out on a shit ton of good films.
NTA just being pedantic with you
Yeah I'll pass on your "shit ton of good films"
Thanks for the offer though lol
kys
Holy frick they copied that moronic maxim gun design from FO4
Man I fricking hate the guns from FO4.
NV and Obsidian are better and Todd is STILL seething over it
yea bethesda gun design is so fricking bad
fallout 4 has some of the worst gun designs I ever seen and this fricking """assault rifle""" is pants of head moronic
we havent been using watercooled machine guns in a 100 years and you want me to believe that they reinvented that design 200 years into the future??
Enlightenment is coming to realize Fallout 4 was actually the best game in the series
new vegas was good
4 was also good
the show sucks because the show sucks and is poorly written regardless of which eras lore you want to wank
>4 was also good
filtered
thats not what filtered means dip shit
Without mods New Vegas is awful
why does the power armor look like it's made of plastic? why can't anyone into costumes nowadays?
Should I play Fallout 3? I thought NV was okay (I fricking hated the aesthetic of brown everywhere fwiw) and 4 was braindead slop, but was entertaining at times. I just want a mindless rpg to explore around in. Is there good exploration and fun quests? I don't care about the overall lore/story.
Yes it’s better than troony Vegas
Fallout 3 is New Vegas but with slightly less thought out mechanics and a military green filter instead of a Mexican yellow one
3 can be fun still. You just cant move as fast/fps aim without a scope. Plus despite patches over the years can still be buggy as frick on any platform
New fans are coming in and damn near harassing any one with even the slightest interest in Fallout to either watch or love the show. Fans of Fallout can just not like it or have no interest in the show but it is being treated like such a terrible thing to have an aversion to it, at least based on the threads here. A lot of the shilling ruined any interest I had in giving the show a chance. And the show looks terribly silly too.
Show was written by communist agitators and those fallout 3 indian memes are also made by communist agitators
>source: my big huge brain headcanon hunch and detective hound nose on the case
>f1 and 2
ancient games, none of those who played them are alive today
>f3
peak jank and atmosphere
>nv
more jank, less atmosphere, better rpg
>4
dude borderlands lmao
>76
dude greed lmao

would have been smart if it was ready for release along with the tv show, right?
bethesda are a bunch of glorified modders that got too popular for their own good
Since half of the show is references, when will the reference the OG pipboy?
I am tired of seeing the vault video pipboy everywhere.
OG Pip-boy was Cooper Howard. presumably cartoonised after his falling out with the wife. Wonder if he was the origin of FNV Victor's cartoon cowboy face too.
Jesus fricking christ you real life lorelets are so stupid. Victor’s face is blatantly and obviously a direct reference to the cowboy casinos in Fremont street.
Cooper doesn't have yellow hair
If they made Pipboy look like Cooper they'd have to pay him royalties.
Thanks bot. May your AI improve everyday.
I've never played any Fallout games and I like the show. The whole mid 20th century technology/society future doesn't make sense to me no matter how I look at it.
Just think of it as a return to a better time after the failed social experiments of the 60s and beyond.
i just simply have no interest in it
that goes for pretty much all game>screen adaptations
I like the most of the fallout games, and I like the premise and lore of the series but I just can't be assed watching it in a tv show
The show is dumb even if you played the games or not and it's basicly fallout 4 the movie. Also when he fights the bear the he lands a couple good hits visibly rocking it and then decide to run away just dident make any sense
i love thaddeus so much. thaddeus is so sexy hot.
Excuse me. If this discussion has NOTHING to do with the GAME at all then it rightly belongs in Cinemaphile
there's a difference between always was a nerd even before work became inconsequential and is only now a nerd after life got super boring
I played 1-3, and the show was decent
I don't want to set the world on fiiiiiiiiiiiiiire
I disregard any Fallout after New Vegas
Did everyone conveniently forget there's a WMBF couple with Walter Goggins' character? I thought you chudcelerinos liked that BLEACHED shit. Frickers are never satisfied.
No because he didn’t bleach her he’s raising another man’s child
Based racist douche turned altruist white guy. What's not to like, chuddy?
Your play pretend isn’t working.
Oh no, how ever will I recover. You lost the culture war btw.
The kid is his kid THOUGH
>Checked
The show sucks. Everyone is ugly. No one cares.
Lucy (Emma Purnell) is what you call a cute ugly girl according to the late great comedian Patrice O'Neal...
>Lucy (Emma Purnell) is what you call a cute ugly girl according to the late great comedian Patrice O'Neal...
Why should I care?
lmao you're just pulling any card you can
>some based black guy
>le bleach meme
No I will not be watching this on amazon. Have your 25 cents for the (You)
Some of their changes are moronic, like shady sands new Vegas and the ghouls needing serums to not go feral.
I still think the show is enjoyable, the set pieces feel a bit cheap tho.
It really rubbed me wrong that thing about the ghouls. Cause they introduce this new gimmick in one episode and solve it for life in the same fricking episode
Why didn’t the ghoul just attack the ghoul-serum place if they had so many fricking vials anyway. And if he needs them every single fricking day how in the hell is there a single non-feral anywhere? That’s at least 150 years of drinking that stuff
I like them both, but I’m only halfway through the show and I swear to god if this shit turns into some dumb love story between the Maximus and Lucy I’m never watching it again.
Far harbour > new Vegas > 2 > 1 >who cares
This little homosexual doesn't let you criticize ANYTHING, lmao. Like this fricking streaming show is God's gift to man or some shit, get a fricking grip you autistic reddit moron.
All baiting aside, as someone who's never played the games, I'm at least enjoying the gratuitous violence. I love when futuristic post-nuclear age tech hits like it's supposed to
These threads take me back to being on Cinemaphile in 2008-2010 and trying to argue with Fallout 3 fans that Fallout 3 was shit. My autism hadn't fully matured yet so while I was autistic enough to argue about such things, I was still stupid enough to think everybody was capable of basic reasoning. So I'd keep trying to prove shit like
>Let's even assume FO3 was "good." Can you acknowledge that that doesn't NECESSARILY entail that it was a GOOD FALLOUT GAME?
or
>Do you acknowledge that something can be "fun" without being "good?" For example, moronic children have fun eating sugar. But isn't it better to set the sugar aside temporarily, and learn to bake it into superior confectioneries?
Now I can't imagine actually wading into the muck of a moron's brain and trying to convince them that eating shit is bad because shit tastes bad and tasting bad tastes tastes bad. I have way too much experience with the moron shoveling shit into his mouth and saying "BUT I'M HAVING FUN EATING IT? ARE YOU SAYING I'M NOT HAVING FUN?"
>TL;DR chudpost
Start a blog already, yeesh
My favourite RPG is Fallout 2. I liked the show a lot.
Weren't you annoyed that they still used bottle caps?
No. I already accepted caps as becoming the currency for the series overall with 3, and even moreso when new vegas had them and had pre-war machines accepting them as money. Plus there was always kind of an issue with Fallout 2 where you would open a military depot which hadn't been opened since the war, and it had the NCR currency minted less than 20 years ago as loot.
These are such unambiguous shill posts.
Meanwhile you're here doing it for free. Got a problem, janny?
>Everyone who disagrees with me is a shill
I pirated it. I liked it. I will not pay for it - amazon doesn't need my money. Simple as
have a nice day poorgay
The show was good but went a little too far in a few specific moments, they could have explained a little more of the backstory better but I'm not a stickler for it.
I enjoyed fallout 1, 2, and 3 was my favorite. I haven't played 4 and I was bored to tears and quit NV before finishing it.
