Have the contrarians given up, or are there still those who pretend to deny that The Dark Knight is the best superhero film ever made?

You just made this shitty thread.

But I'll just repost my reply so that maybe more people react.

I feel like it's kinda sad when the supposedly best Batman movie is only liked because of the villain. It's kind of like admitting "yeah, Batman is a pretty shitty superhero I guess, his villain is way more interesting to me LOL".

You don’t like Bale in The Dark Knight? Literally the best live action portrayal of Batman

I would actually disagree here. It is has call backs to the previous film as well as a perfect upping the ante combo'ing with he is also sort of to blame for the jokers creation. I think it is its perfect pocket universe. Plus him actually losing something continued to give him depth and sacrifice himself- so he could be "whatever gotham needed him to be". And obligatory Ledger was a boss and with little screen time is memorable as frick.

Don't get angry at the movie for spawning countless d-bags pretending theyre SiCk anD tWisTeD gUys like the joker. Those homosexual aren't a representation of how good the movie was (or how bad). It is always to seperate fandom from the art when making objective analysis.

Filthy, dirty teeth, and eye bags...

        Literally Beetlejuice as a terrorist.

90% of what makes Joker is his image and presentation. The same way Batman dresses up as a bat Joker dresses up as a clown on the opposite. You take that away its barely Joker.

But Batman is half assed in this movie too. It's OK to like this movie if you admit it's a villain movie that barely resembles Joker, and hardly a Batman one.

How is he not the Joker? Because they gave him makeup instead of bleached skin? Who gives a shit?

Why is there is so much monologing and philosophical babble in this movie?

No idea, although I would not have minded so much the awkward way people spoke at each other rather than to each other if the action wasn't so fricking shit. I have no idea how they could make action in a movie that is centered around a character that is into a lot of action so terribly directed.

    Wrong.

The Batman, Batman Returns and The Dark Knight is the perfect trinity of Bat-cinema. Schumacher's and 89 below them, Batman Begins below them and The Dark Knight Rises at the very bottom.

most of the mcu movies are better than tdk, Nolan is just a fricking hack who adds his pseudo-philosophy into his shitty movies. he doesn't explore themes in his movies just has hollow one-liners that sound deep

there's still a whole conversation about that builds the theme, "unlike You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain "which is just forced into the conversation

It's always funny to me that people call TDK's Joker as the edgelord, but that's only when he starts talking about the implications of the boat plan. Everything else is pretty Joker to me
    >Has a punchline ready for any occasion ("Poor choice of words")
    >Sees the funny side in the events happening around him (Like him pointing out that the criminals of Gotham have their meetings during the day now)
    >Does most of the things he does because he thinks it is funny (Including his main plan with Harvey being a long convoluted joke about how one man that can unite Gotham can be taken down by one man without a plan. The main evidence of this is "Kill you? You make this fun!")
    >Has a genuine rivalry against the bat himself (See above and also him beating up the goon trying to kill batman after batman crashes)
Shame that Bale's Batman couldn't match it. I like his Bruce, but his batman always kinda sucked. Now, if the performance was Keaton Batman with Bale Bruce, that would be great.
