You can kinda guess what would happen just by checking the history of the BTK Strangler, he only got caught in like 2004 because he sent a floppy disk to the feds mocking them and didnt know they could trace it or some shit, his literal boomer mentality got him busted
They wanted to bring it back but Fincher is autistic and doesn't like working on projects for too long so he just dropped it. Netflix (wisely imo) decided that if Fincher wasn't the creative force behind the show it shouldn't continue.

Dark is genuinely good, through and through. Didn't drag on or overstay its welcome.
Like fricking Stranger Things. Great first season, then it began shitting the bed immediately with seasons 2 & 3. 4 has been decent-ish so far, but the damage is already done. They literally could have skipped season 2 & 3 and just gone right to them being teenagers with a realistic time gap, as a sort of "reunion" season. Would have given them more time for the writing to develop, too.

Arcane and Buster Scruggs were legitimately really good. I liked Season 1 of Stranger Things. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I'm shocked they made even one good show. They literally started out as mail-order Blockbuster. Could you imagine Blockbuster making their own TV shows? It's so crazy how Netflix became a media giant with their own original content.
