I saw fight club twice
kojima is so pseud
I won't be imbibing Top Guns 2
just take a moment to honor and reflect on my poetic genius here
your iambic pentameter sucks wiener
I saw pic related three times in theaters just for the scenes where Josh Brolin wears a wig and everyone pretends he looks completely different. For some reason it's the funniest shit I've ever seen in a movie, especially if you've seen the first one and know who he's supposed to look like. I died laughing every single time in the near empty theaters. It was always worth the price of admission.
what a strange person you are
He will make a game about fighter jets now
>Danger Zoning
God willing
don't give me that hope anon
>Tom and I are flying again!
La creatividad encantada...
>La creatividad
what's the origin of this Cinemaphile meme
that article doesn't even refer to him lol
It must be Aladdin in 1992, I probably watched it four or five times because I went with different groups of friends and one time with my family only.
>Watched it on opening night with my father after he had nagged me to see since he heard it was coming
>whole fricking theater is filled with only +40 year old white men
>they literally start cherring
>some start to tear up
>group of literal +80 year old men behind us stand up several times during the run of the movie because they are so excited
Had no idea this movie meant so much for boomers here in Swedenstan. Literally the first time I have seen people actually make noise in the theater.
lol incredible
Based boomers
Holy kek, i thought this would be in the US, but a bunch of Swedish guys losing it over US Navy propaganda is even funnier.
My dad also wants to see it in theaters and he's an Argentine boomer.
Something about this film really speaks to them
I think it has to do with that literally every single boomer here were conscripted for at least 18 months in their youth for the sole purpose of being able to defend against a Soviet attack. Sweden used to be incredibly militarized with >5% of the GDP going towards the military. So all these Swedish boomers brought up in that mentally are suckers for the kind of American military frick commies attitude.
>I think it has to do with that literally every single boomer here were conscripted for at least 18 months in their youth
Pretty cool actually, I have a feeling Sweden doesn't deserve all of the shit y'all get on this board. Most of it maybe, but not all
>5%+ gdp on military
Swedish boomers I kneel.
>>5% of the GDP going towards the military
Unironically how the frick did they afford a welfare state while spending that much on the army? It's a country of only 10 million people, where the hell do the resources come from
Based Swede boomers
Maybe you guys aren’t so bad
considering everything else going on in your country, you can let them enjoy a movie that isn't self-flagellation.
Rich coming from a fricking mutt
This reeks of soul. Based boomers.
I hope when I'm 80 I still have the capacity to enjoy things
I'm (moroccan) am moving to sweden pronto
Stop posting this hack and go back to Cinemaphile
I saw Easy A and Great Gatsby twice each because I saw them with girls I was dating and then they wanted to see them again. I saw The Dark Knight 5 times of my own free will.
Jurassic Park, 12 times
Pacific Rim in Imax. I'm strongly considering seeing Top Gun again in Imax.
Jokes on you. Because of Jurassic Black folk, all iMax theaters have moved on from Top Gun. I was furious when I found out
>1917
>Blade Runner 2049
>Dark Knight Rises
Twice
Interstellar
The frick, Maverick's already pulled from Dolby Cinema and Imx screens in my area. Didn't know it came out last month
kojima is a gigantic westaboo so of course he goes and sees america frick yeah the movie multiple times.
I saw Tintin 7 times
My friends and I saw Don't be a Menace to South Central probably 6 or 7 times when I was in highschool when it was in the theater
Yes, I am a boomer
Yes, I was wigger
Avatar twice
3D?
Did you pay for tickets each time
>Did you pay for tickets each time
We did, but this was a long time ago and I think tickets were $3-5 back then
Same, because I was 13 and got kicked out the first time.
Only Blade Runner 2049, and just twice. First time on my vacation trip and then again in my small town cinema.
On the other hand when I went on a trip just to see Fury Road (my town didn't have cinema back then and it was 1,5 hour drive), fricking popcorn machine caught fire and showing was cancelled. I still get upset about missing that movie in theather because of fat fricks who eat garbage food
watched the evil dead remake 3x
>went solo when after a friend turned me down
>dad loves raimi's evil dead and ended up seeing it with the family
>friend hit me up a couple days later and invited me to go, not much to do so i went
I saw Evil Dead 2 at a midnight screening on Halloween in 1999 and I fell asleep
I saw Dunkirk twice
>5 times
Beethoven (the one about the dog)
Boats
>4 times
Gladiator
Amelie
>3 times
Spirited Away
The Cat Returns
Lost in Translation
>Twice
Many dozens, possibly well over a hundred
La La Land like 5 times it's just so good. I'm not gay either.
Based anon, I saw it 3 times. Also not gay.
I went to see The Phantom Menace 26 times total, and I'm not even baiting. It is forever my secret shame.
>Ashamed of being based
Why?
frick, this reminds me i actually paid TWICE to go see The Force Awakens in theaters. The second time was just on the spur of the moment, "surely it wasn't that bad? maybe i missed something or i was expecting something too much?"
after 45 minutes i accepted the truth and walked out.
You poor bastard. I'm so glad Cinemaphile saved me from watching my childhood heroes get beclowned before they are killed off. You suffered so that I did not.
I did the exact same thing with the first AvP movie.
I still hate myself.
I saw TFA for free thanks to my buddy who has an early screening hookup. I fell asleep during the trailers, woke up just in time to see the "Who talks first?" scene.
autism?
Oldgay here: We had competitions at my high school to see how many times you saw the Empire Strikes back. For me it was only three, but there was one freshman who went and saw it 18 times IIRC.
To put this in context, we lived in a little podunk logging town in the pre-Internet world and nobody had any idea there would be a Star Wars II until the first ads started playing and we all went berserk with joy.
>Oldgay here: We had competitions at my high school to see how many times you saw the Empire Strikes back. For me it was only three, but there was one freshman who went and saw it 18 times IIRC.
How fricking old are you ggramps? You must be like fricking 70.
I saw Joker twice.
Borat four or five times. I went back for the crowd reactions and laughter, it's probably the movie I've seen which induced the strongest audible reactions from a normal crowd. It was interesting to notice that friday night crowds, saturday night crowds and sunday night crowds all have different energies.
also no country for old men 4 times.
i saw Tenet twice. empty theater. had fun
Tenet once but empty kinoplex. me and two or three employees in the whole building.
surely theres no better feeling. climb into the expensive seats when i see no one has taken them
it was weird, can't say i particularly enjoyed it, plus the movie itself was pretty oppressive. there was no distinction in price seats at that place.
I saw Grindhouse 4 times in theaters. One of those times was a day I saw 300, Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters, and then Grindhouse.
Isn't Kojima anti American imperialism?
not after seeing top gun lel
does he even have principles? he always seems to bend whichever way the wind will blow him closer towards hollywood
Yes but Top Gun isn't about American Imperialism
speaking of that, we need to strap in that homosexual miyazaki and force him to watch this movie on repeat till his head explodes
I saw Dark Knight 3 times. That's my record.
I wish I had Kojima’s enthusiasm for western entertainment
The most powerful duo
Who?
>he doesn't know
If Kojimer likes it then it is totally a brainless garbage.
Sorta wish Kojima would open a movie review blog. They kind of get buried in his twitter feed.
Kojima is so full of himself lmao mfkr saw it thrice but i'm 100% sure he didnt pay attention to how the movie was made AKA technical details. Makes you wonder why his latest game was a pile of garbage. Whatever happened with the Kojima who gave us MGS?
Kojima got too successful and bought into his own hype. On paper every single game he made up until Death Stranding was a financial and critical success. Hired only people who worshipped him. He then believed that just him making a game would make it massively successful, rather than the content of the game.
Interstellar 4 times
Dune twice
Top gun going on 3
🙂
I saw Cloud Atlas and Dredd as many times as I frickin wanted when they came out.
Absolutely no one went to see them so I had the whole theatres to myself. To this day those are still my best movie experiences.
Based. I saw Dread in 2D and 3D, I still have my 3D glasses with the logo on them.
I also saw Fury Road twice.
>Fury road twice
Based patrician. Ditto
For me, it was Cats Don't Dance
>babysitter takes brothers and I to CDD
>have whole theater to ourselves
>start a 2v2 food fight
>almost get kicked out
10/10, would do again. The movie was kinda shit though.
Lawrence of Arabia, Mad Max: Fury Road, Godzilla 2014, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Bohemian Rhapsody, It, Jurassic World, X-Men: Days of Future Past, all twice. There are probably more, but I can't remember now. No idea how I ended up watching KotM twice because I really didn't like the movie.
I saw Jurassic Park 12 times in theaters, but I was like 4 years old.
BvS
Aquaman
Alita
Joker
Spectre
Hobbit 3
The Last Airbender
I saw the dark knight maybe 7 times in theater. I was 17 or 18, flunking uni and had one of those subscription pass that cost 20€ a month. Good times. Today I regret having seen this movie that much, as I also watched it a hundred times on DVD. It.still holds up but I know it so much I'm bored when I watch it.
bawd
Episode IV - 5 times (I was 9)
Empire Strikes Back - 3 times
Jurassic Park - 3 times
E.T - twice
The Dark Knight - twice
Avatar - twice
The Matrix - twice
The Avengers - twice
Infinity War - twice
Endgame - twice
you were doing well until the capeshit
I saw the phantom menace twice. I was 7
Well at least you have an excuse.
The only movie I've seen more than once in a theatre is Charlie's Angels (2000).
Saw it twice.
>See it opening day with pretentious movie friend who "loves" Blade Runner but yet when talking about it before the movie starts he repeats RLM verbatim (the Harrison Ford weird accent part specifically)
>Thought it was absolutely kino
>Friend thought it "insisted upon itself" and thought it was boring
>Saw it again in a near empty movie theater alone.
Truly something special. Cinemaphile was fun during those times too. Real shame BR universe basically became action oriented with that garbage anime.
LMAO this homie keeping ticket stubs in a game boy game case.
Titanic, dragged along by an old sibling
> Have you ever been to see a movie in theatres more than once?
Yes, I saw the Master once with a buddy and then went back twice by myself the next couple weeks. I’m trying to remember before then, cuz I’m pretty sure back in my normie days I never saw anything more than once. Maybe the LOTR movies but can’t remember
The most would be when I saw Revenge of the Sith 3 times in theaters. First I went to an early screening with my sister after my dad won tickets. Then I went with my family on opening weekend and with some friends for their first time seeing it the week after.
Same. Saw all of them 3 times each for various reasons. One was with my friend's sister who I finger fricked when Obi was on Kamino. Kek.
Jurassic Park three times. I loved the intro scene where they tried to put the raptor in the pen but it kills the gatekeeper
Dune 3 times, iMax every time
BR2049
the first Ritchie Sherlock Holmes
>that atmosphere
>that music
>that entire unravelling of "there never was any magic" at the end
i saw it and when another friend wanted to see it i jumped at the chance to go again. frick, i'm putting it on right now
I saw Rush Hour 2 3 times because I got invited twice but different family members
TDK 2 times
Those are the only 2 movies I've ever seen more than once in the theaters
7
>watched it once
>damn this movie sucks
>watch TLJ
>hyper space ram
>Luke dies
>can't walk out because I'm with my old man
The first time I saw a movie in theatres twice was Top Gun: Maverick. I will go a third time and probably a 4th time. I always sit in seat F18.
>Avatar 3D x2
>Blade Runner 2049 x3
>Top Gun Maverick X2
Please note, I only paid once for each movie.
Saw Titanic twice in the theater. Don't give a frick about the fake romance bullshit, but my God, the ship was fantastic.
I saw Gettysburg four times at the theater just for the battle scenes alone.
I found a yard to mow each week and biked to my local 4-screen moviehouse to watch Jurassic Park on 11 consecutive weekends. This was back when theaters had pretty great arcades attached to them so that summer was the pinnacle of my life.
300 and Pan's Labrynth are the only movies I felt deserved a second viewing in theaters.
>Pan's Labrynth
I'll never understand the love this movie gets. Felt so mediocre
I was extremely stoned both times and it tripped me the frick out.
Casino Royale 3x
13 Hours 3x
Top Gun Maverick 2x
there are others
Good taste anon
Yes.
I saw Avatar three times in theaters. Going to see its re-release this September at least once.
Same. I'll also be watching the 4k restoration re-release of Poltergeist in September.
Man i hate when that volume thing happens
They run ghibli movies in my local theater so I take my nieces and nephews every year to spirited away , totoro and mononoke. So seen it about 5 times.
A few times I've seen a movie twice because I went with 2 different groups of friends, but never saw a movie twice because it was so good I had to see it again.
BR 2049 3 times
