Haven't watched the new series but from what I've seen it basically just speed running a bunch of random au ideas at the wall in the most boring way possible and have it interspersed with "what if character but all normal humans" but done in the least interesting way possible. How accurate is this assessment?

Yea from clips I've seen it looks like tumblr AUs the show with a desperate attempt to attract steven universe gays with yuri stuff and similar shit that the series had.
From what I've seen that's kinda insulting to tumblr AUs, like the stuff I've seen most of the ideas shown are excessively joyless and boring. Like at least a tumblr AU can be fun to think about rather than just being there.
ladies, if any homosexual like yourselves could just throw a thread at any time to go "I DIDINT SEE IT AND I THINK ITS THIS" then it becomes pointless to even post here. at least watch the shit you pretend to know about before start ranting you bucnh of troony cucks
None of this warranted a new thread and it was done in the most pansy ass possible way , this is not how you start a conversation you are literally going "I AM COMPLETELY IGNORANT OF THSI THEME AND I WANT TO HAVE A OPINION VALIDATEEEE MEEEE"
newbie... AT had yuri before SU because it had Rebecca Sugar before SU.
You don't want to see alternative versions of the characters you already like?
>You don't want to see alternative versions of the characters you already like?
...no? I like those characters, not alternative versions of them. Those are effectively different characters.
There's a difference between interesting what ifs and episodes that barely flesh out any of the ideas.
>You don't want to see alternative versions of the characters you already like?
Heavily depends on both the character and the context
Seeing BMO wander the wastelands of Ooo after the Lich wiped all life is a neat concept and works fine as a one-off episode, but that's also because we've gotten to know that iteration of BMO before
I don't care about seeing butch military PB fight gothic e-girlta "daddy's girl" Marceline interspersed with R63 gay romance with barely any attachment to the characters aside from "I've seen them before but in a different context"
>haven't watched the series but here's my review of the series
Maybe you guys should like, go outside or something.
No i need to have a opinion validated here so i can shit on this on twitter without any of those buttholes calling me out for being wrong
Enjoyment of media has become a series of digs and counters on stuff i dont want to watch on which i base the whole of my personality
Im asking if my initial perceptions are accurate, your not denying that they are so Im posed to believe the series is shit.
Giving your opinion on something you haven't even watched will always be moronic
I wouldn’t say random, I think the AU concepts make sense in the context of the show, but yeah, it’s all just kinda underwhelming
Haven't watched the series but what I've saw they're just universe hoping each episode and then maybe getting some characters killed due to their incompetence. Maybe I just think that kind of multiverse hopping is just kinda lame for a story unless it's a whole separate thing but I think that you can't really explore any universe with any degree of interests with the time you have. Like if you were going to do a multiverse story maybe they could have just done one where there's just some kind of multiversal crisis and a bunch of different AU versions of the cast have to team up to save all of existence.
theyve done multiverse stories before, this is literally a sequel to those, how has none of you watched this shit ever
Aside from farm world not really.
Get a clue.
More like 3 chucklefricks keep fricking up the multiverse.
Oof
It's mostly just Fionna fricking things up
ok
More or less
The show is basically proof that Multiverses, and time travel should never be in a story. Why should I care about these characters, their are an infinite number of alternatives, and none of them are the characters I actually like, from the actual show..
Ok
This. Literally the only exception is Dr. Who because it's baked into the core foundational concept of the series itself. AT never started with this as a core feature of the series and it shows, because the AU and time travel stuff blows fricking chunks.
>Literally the only exception is Dr. Who because
Your bias is showing.
I don't even like Dr. Who, it's just the only example of something where that concept is built into it from the core so it doesn't come off as tacked-on bullshit. Seethe about it.
You should do, Doctor Who is awesome
Depends on the era.
Dr. Who only worked with time travel successfully because it made explicitly clear that changes to the past to effect the present and the future, none of this splitting time line stuff that makes time travel irreverent from the outset.
This is character exploration of Fionna and Cake while giving them tough choices. Fionna is proven to be like early Finn, a frick up, but Cake isn't as calm and collected as Jake. This leads to Fionna feeling like a true loser and understand she is causing so much pain, but not having anyone to cheer her up except Simon. Cake has recently gained sentience, so she's no Jake. Simon is totally going to bone Fionna.

dumb
>Simon is totally going to bone Fionna.
smart
Ok
>Simon is totally going to bone Fionna.
We've had so many scenes through the main series and F&C that Simon will only ever love Betty, yet I see people saying this shit like what? He doesn't have any interest in Fionna or anybody that isn't Betty.
Punk Bubblegum sexo
Man I want to go on tour with her as she travels all of OOO with her band.
why so many people on this website feel the need to weigh in their literal uninformed opinions I have no idea
>Haven't watched the new series but from what I've seen it basically just speed running a bunch of random au ideas at the wall in the most boring way possible
You do not have a good sight.
Why is everything just "what if multiverses" now?
"What if there was infinite number of versions of our characters"
"What if our characters fought evil versions of their selves"
"What if our characters but their roles swapped"
I realise it's always existed, especially in fanmade stuff, but every fricking piece of media is doing it officially now. It just shows a lack of any original or interesting ideas at this point.
