IT APPEARS WE ARE GOING TO DO BATTLE, STEVEN.
>split diopter
yeah, it's kino
It was actually Jim Carrey’s idea to include Medieval Times in the movie. He told Ben Stiller about it and the entire crew went out to scope it out and had a great time
Neat
yeah but his reasoning was all weird like you would expect from jim. it wasnt like hes just a cool guy and went
>hey medieval times is badass you ever been? no? hey what the hell lets shoot a scene there!
eat shit jim
What do you mean
my family and i went like 20 years ago in Florida. our section had the black knight, who won the tournament but was then killed by the treacherous court wizard when he went to claim his prize. the other knights banded together to stop him, but our guy was still dead
Cheering against the other sections is like half of the fun.
Damn, this was not my experience at all. The red knight won, but the evil green knight challenged him to a sword duel and the red knight won.
they had different scripted shows that they rotate so you can go more than once and not see the same story. i also assume they constantly rotate which knight wins in each story
They absolutely do that. It would be lame as frick if it was the same show every night
It really is a million dollar idea.
No wonder they have a location in the heart of Las Vegas, where I saw it.
The concept is so ridiculous I thought they made that up for the movie
I went for the first time like two years ago and had a great time. Got pretty drunk and caught the rose that my champion threw.
>friend buys you a prostitute
would you be mad?
If she's hot then no
Ok, but then you have a nightmare of him running like the T-1000 and smashing through your front door.
i had a "nightmare" last night where i was having sex with my sister but my sister from like 15 years ago (she's 40)
I think part of it was extreme disappointment that the woman wasn’t actually into him. He probably wouldn’t have talked to her if he knew she was a prostitute
>friend wants me to abandon the wizard path
I would slaughter him on the spot
Imagine having a friend
Is it weird that this is one of my favorite movies? I guess you could argue the ending is a little weak but I could watch it any time
I'll be the one to say it then: Chip was a nice guy and a good friend. I'd kill to have a friend like Chip. Medieval Times, karaoke, free cable, everything Chip did was for his friend. This movie failed to make Chip seem unlikeable.
You could tell the main character was warming up to him at times but then he’d do something insane or overkill which would push him away. He had fun at Medieval Times, then he broke into his apartment and gave him tons of free shit. He had fun at the party, but turns out he was hooked up with a prostitute, etc
It's almost like the writers of the movie couldn't decide, or it got rewritten, for Chip to be more of a villain. That's why this movie failed. I still love it though.
The point was that Chip was always pushing things too far, dumbass.
The movie did get rewritten, though, it was originally written for Chris Farley -- but the 'obssessive man who read and then puts way too much into a new friendship' was always the POINT.
He was always supposed to be the villain, otherwise what would be the point of the movie?
Anon wants a movie about two dudes becoming bros
They were bros tho, that's more how real bros act than the homosexual closeted shit you see in seth rogen buddy comedies.
If I could rewrite The Cable Guy it would end with Chip being told to tone it down and they become best friends.
That’s the whole premise, isn’t it? Chip had zero chill about having a friend. It was like Fatal Attraction but with friends.
I think it failed because people were expecting another goofy Jim Carrey role but it turned out being darker than they thought
Everytime someone mentions Medievil Times I think about the story of Randy Pitchford dropping a USB stick of child porn on the floor.
>Pitchford clarified that the pornographic film on the USB drive was not child pornography and stated that he had saved the pornography for the purposes of studying a sexual act performed by the female actress that he claimed to be similar to a "magic trick."[35][38] Gearbox filed a grievance with the State Bar of Texas against Callender for "filing a lawsuit that includes accusations that he knows to be untrue".[36][37]
who was the gay that went to the press after finding the stick anyway? i thought medieval times only hired white&blessed chads and stacies
>$70 a head for an hour of WWE wrestling but knights instead of wrestlers and cheap food
I'm good
Worth it tbh. Excluding the food being better than expected, you’re basically paying 50 bucks for a few hours of entertainment
>for a few hours of entertainment
I went there it's like an hour- hour and a half tops
Show was almost exactly two hours for me
some/all of the also have tiny little museum type areas where they put medieval shit you and spend time looking at
50 bucks for dinner and a JOUSTING show is pretty good tbh
>JOUSTING
the issue is it's fake like the WWE and pre determined. If it was real that might be worth it.
The fights are scripted. It's possible that the jousting games before the fights are real competitions between the performers.
I'm entertained by the WWE. I'm entertained by watching the Green Knight lose every time at Medieval Times. I'm a simple man, simple as.
the food is pretty good so thats like 20-30 off the ticket price since its just going towards that.
its also legitimately one of the most fun events youll ever go to. its way more fun than you think because you get really sucked into it. its nothing like watching some gay play or larpfest. i literally have a woodend "shield" from them hanging above my computer right now
>captain ahab, look! Aloft!
>Yarrgh, the darned beast learned to fly, eh?? Kill me now boys, I won't give it the satisfaction!
Worth it once for the novelty. It's not like it's something you'd go to routinely. 70 bucks isn't even bad, that barely buys you a nosebleed seat at an nfl game nowadays.
That's pretty cheap actually. Only time I went to medieval times was as a kid for a class field trip. My whole 4th grade class spent an entire day there.
We took field trips like that a lot actually. State fairs, science musems, opera houses, Six Flags. My elementary school ruled
HEY
WHO THREW THAT
The food is actually good.
Movie genuinely made me sad for him he just wanted a friend
When I went my waiter was actually kind of grumpy which I thought was funny
Prime Janeane Garofalo in this movie. And in Mystery Men.
Yeah, she was hot as frick as the serving wench.
For me, it’s pic related
Is that Uma? What movie is this?
The Truth About Cats and Dogs. I was so obsessed with Janeane as a little kid that I didn’t even notice that Uma was pretty hot in this movie too. And Uma was supposed to be a model in it and Janeane the “frumpy” one
Are you the Garofalo poster?
Nah, but I can be for you
Not for me, bro. For Janeane.
I've had friends in my past that showed up unannounced constantly be it the afternoon or 9 fricking pm and trust me its over bearing and makes everything uncomfortable. Especially after a long day at work and purposefully screening calls from exhaustion.
I had a friend like that too. Never would call, he’d just knock on my window at random times like we were in a fricking sitcom. Sometimes I’d be with my girlfriend and he didn’t give a frick
Yep. If I ignored the door gay would go to the windows. Luckily that's in the past. Steven going through a break up with chip up his ass had to be the worst.
>A movie about steam friends
I like the sounds Jim Carrey makes when he’s shooting the staple gun at Steven from up above
>scram-beed eggs
>orange joo-eeths
comfy
>ARE YOU READY TO ROCK
Is that Jack Black?
Why was Jack immediately a hater on Jim’s character? Or was Jim being a prick, I can’t remember
their irst encounter was when they were playing basketball and Jim ruined it for everyone
Ah yeah, that’s right. Jack even offers to have Jim on his team but he tells him no

>Autistic man just wants a friend
I was just thinking about the lisp punch. What is it about the "some hard impact fixes character's flaws until the next impact happens" that's so funny.
