yeah s2e3 would have been way better without the fricking sex toys, but i did like the out of touch father not really understanding his son is bisexual and just treating him like a gay joke. just could have been executed way better. thenproblem with all the content in season 2 thus far has been that there are really solid ideas and build-ups to good jokes, or good character moments, but they never stick the landing with them. they almost always fall flat.
Yeah, the concept of it is much more interesting than the execution. But I mean, they can't really make a big deal out of his bi-sexuality when he has a wife/girlfriend literally as his defining plot-point, and him liking dudes on the side cannot and will not occur naturally under these circumstances.
To be honest, it probably could have just stuck with Moxxie is a "weak" man from the father's perspective, but the writers had to make it about sex somehow
well in the episode, he does say that moxxie has always lived like a sissy and that he's just like his mother, and that was right after the whole sex toy scene if i recall. i think the absurdly immature shock humor overshadowed a far more poignant and important scene just because of "haha funny weiner"

What the frick is the appeal of Pentious? And this is a serious question. I found his screentime to be extremely obnoxiously predictable to the point of snoozeworthy. It's just campy and dragged the pilot down. Was so glad when he got crushed. But then sad again when announced as a recurring character.

If the contracts were not finalized yet but drafted it would mean the got pretty far with negotiations (for example with HBO) but for one reason or another one of the parties backed out of it.

at this point, the voice actors practically own the show, though. no VA's, no show. new animators can be brought in to draw the same characters, new writers can be brought in to make new scripts, but the VA's ARE the characters. they're all very established now and distinct, a change of VA would be the most difficult thing to do.
Almost all of Helluva's VAs are SAG-AFTRA actors. They've already broken into the industry. It makes sense that the strike would affect the show.
Helluva Boss isn't run under A24, only Hazbin. Therefore, the strike still affects Helluva.

Even the HH subreddit knew what was up when we only got a PICTURE of Angel Dust last month, people there were even pointing out how we still don't have a cast list even though we usually get one before production wraps, much less half a year after it allegedly did.
So yes, even the normie internet is already figuring out something is definitely going on behind the scenes, August is definitely gonna be the straw that breaks the camel's back for a lot of people.
And people's hype can only last so long. It's already been almost four years since the pilot came out. Without any reasonable marketing, how are people supposed to remain excited for it? Even the genuine fans are tired and at this point I think there's no way HH doesn't end up disappointing everyone. It already has the problem of the fandom mostly being about the fandom itself (as in most of the fan content barely resembles the pilot) and then on top of that and changing the whole voice cast, I can't see this turning out well.
And all that aside, there's been no strategy for HH to gain new fans/viewers. Honestly if people would be interested in watching it they probably already know about it. I really wonder exactly how many new viewers it will get.
HH really would be better off if HB either didn't exist or was only a miniseries, and HH remained independent. Clearly HB showed that HH didn't need to be picked up by a studio to be successful.
With how HB S2 is turning out though, a small part of me hopes that A24 is interested in what the pilot set up and keeps it mostly focused on the whole redemption angle.
Knowing what we know about the leaks though, there's no way it's not just going to be 'LOL HEAVEN BAD' and dump the whole redemption angle within a few episodes, a decent writer could have a bit of nuisance to the whole issue by having Heaven be far from perfect, but still be objectively better than Hell.

The funny thing is we already know a few of the main cast members and they are all literal who's unless you're very deep into musical theater culture (and some of them are *still* literal who's even in that niche area, like Blake Roman and Amir Talai).

If I was Viv/A24 I would've dropped some short audio clips of Alastor doing a radio broadcast commenting on some things that happen in the show for marketing purposes/to build hype. Keep it vague enough that it doesn't spoil anything but interesting enough that people start talking and theorizing about it. Could've put it on the YT channel or the barely-used HH website. There's still time to do this too. Alastor is a huge draw for this show and they need to use him for more marketing but considering how they wasted Angel Dust for pride month if it's supposed to come out this year I have zero faith. And of course because they're too scared to reveal Alastor's new voice.

Even early this year they were saying this, I honestly think they literally can't find a streaming service to pick it up, which is hilarious considering how many there are and also doesn't bode well considering this thing already has a built in fanbase.
If it's going to come out this summer they're definitely going to put it out late September since that's technically still astronomical summer even though for the majority of people September means fall.
Last day of summer then is September 22, so in less than two months now. A24 is exempt from the strikes because they met the demands. There should 100% be a trailer and the cast list should've been out at least six months ago and that's being generous. Something has gone seriously wrong and Viv and co. can say all they want about it but the silence from A24 says it all.
I like your ideas; a podcast or even just short clips of Alastor to add to the lore would've been extremely kino.

It’s a series called Achieving Heaven Through Hell that starts with A Peaceful Afterlife where Kira tries to get himself redeemed and goes from there. It’s unironically really well written and blends the settings almost perfectly, and it’s actually really funny. My favorite so far is Only The Results, where Doppio tries to get him and Diavolo redeemed, though the one where Joseph goes to hell is a lot of fun
I can also vouch for the Jojo crossover.
I really liked how when a stand user goes to Hell they become their stand.
And the whole hotel groups' non-reaction to Kira being a serial killer beyond "Told ya."

I like that Kira’s story toed that line he has between affection and murderous impulse, kind of like what was happening between him and Hiyato’s mom. He never quite overcomes inclination to murder or express regret over it, which is great, the fic doesn’t make him a poor uwu baby over it. The whole series does the flawed but likable character trope so much better than HB it’s not even funny at this point.

I think about this often when it comes to how much Ashley, Ed, and Michael carried the fandom during all those podcasts then Viv dumps them on the side of the street like they're easily replaceable. The most dysfunctional studio I have ever worked for- bar none. Several co-workers were fine and lovely to work with, but the higher you went on the ladder, the worse people behaved. You were encouraged to endlessly praise the leads and talk down about every other indie studio. They would actively try to keep people from working for other studios- which just isn't realistic for the low pay and irregular/assignment-based payment structure they were doing. I didn't even know we had HR until after I left- and I find out he's just the director's friend so that's a nice conflict of interest there. In addition to talking down on other indie studios- leads would talk down about certain employees behind their backs.
A lot of the other negative reviews mention issues with getting feedback on work, how little they get paid, and that the revolving door of hiring new people (particularly inexperienced fans) is a warning.

Am I the only one who hates artists making his skin darker while keeping the hair and suit red? They complain how hues and tones in hazbin blend together but that's exactly a design what blends them. Idiots.
Not really, it works a lot more here. The contrast still enough contrast between the brown of the skin and red of the hair that they don't blend together. If you turn both this and the original into grey scale you see just how light the og version of this pic values are in general. Also, Alastor just has a really bright color pallete that does him no favor. The darker reds here are much more easy on the eyes than the neon magenta.

Assuming you already have the hardware and software (software can be pirated but for hardware you wanna invest at least a hundred bucks or two in a okay micro and pop filter):
1) make a portfolio of covers
* get your own domain for that
* decide beforehand on what you wanna voice (animation or not, who is the target group etc.)
* do not try to make it with original songs. Dubs for original animation may fly but no one wants to hear original written songs by a literal who
2) make your videos publicly available
* on youtube
* if japanese also on nico nico
3) post about it on your social media accounts if already existing
4) try to do collaborations with people that are around your own subscriber/follower tier for x-promotion
That's how to get started anyways.
That aside it's like with money, the first million are the hardest.
You'll also need a ton of luck or connections for it to be profitable.

I just like the aesthetic of it being a colorful early 2000s PS2 game. Gore and sex is fine, although Hazbin seems somewhat more mature than Helluva about it in that Angel Dusts vid showed how despite being a horndog he was severely sexually abused. Kind of conflicts with Helluva's loin guided cast which does a lot of that tastelessly.

Does Viv even have a real reason to be super spiteful towards Christians considering her upbringing? I thought she was a spoiled rich kid who grow up in Maryland then went to college in New York. I don't know much about the former state but I've never heard about it being particularly religious. I might be able to understand if she grew up in the deep south like I did and was forced to attend church every Sunday where they actually did shit talk the homos and non-believers a lot.
She's straight as well. It's all so strange. Did she have a bad encounter with a corrupt priest? Were here parents some kind of fundamentalists or the opposite? I don't know what kind of parents you have, but assuming you have a good relationship with them, it isn't fair to resent them for something like that. They probably dealt with a lot of shit from their respective families or communities just because they wanted to be with each other and start a family. The difficulties it comes with are caused by societal hangups or tensions rather than because it's morally wrong. What those difficulties are will vary greatly with any given place in the world. If a mixed couple gets together out of some fetish, perceived gain, or self-righteousness, then of course it's a different story. All the same, I'm sorry to hear you've been through the problems you described, and I hope you're doing alright.

even then it really comes down to love, as corny as it sounds. you could have 2 people from about the same walk of life get married together but if the right love isn't there it can turn sour and fail. and even if there might be communication barriers or things that require clarification and whatnot between a married couple of vastly different backgrounds, as long as that connection exists, it will be a good marriage. i have 2 parents from pretty much the same neighborhood, so they have all of their upbringing and culture in common, but they don't really love each other anymore. it's very sad :c
