not even christian but thats not a really accurate assessment of Christianity. salvation in christianity is based on faith and accepting Jesus Christ, which itself is symbolic of accepting love for mankind and yourself, since Jesus represents the duality of man and God. by accepting Christ, you accept all other men, and become redeemed. a 'black and white' religion where you go to hell or not based on how many good/bad boy points you have is closer to zoroastrianism, which admittedly was an early influence and competitor to christianity and there are a few hybrids of the two religions, including manichaenism, of which saint augustine was a former member before converting. it is a fundamentally different worldview and concept of salvation; zoroastrianism quite literally believes that there is an assigned angel and designed demon to every soul, and each tallies up your virtues and your sins over your lifespan until you day, where you are either lifted to heaven or sunk to hell depending on how many sins weigh down your heart. it is much more based on individual acts of good and virtue, which you could argue influenced the catholic concept of good works a bit, but catholicism is only one type of christianity

Actually almost everyone in hell was evil while they were alive, Charlie and Lucifer are basically the only exceptions. The "twist" (if you can call it that, because this has been done to death in fiction) is that angels were also evil while they were alive.
It's not really clear what role God plays in the story at this point. He cast out Lucifer, obviously, but He also brought a "dead" demon back and brought him to heaven, and He also allowed Adam, one of his angels, to die without bringing him back.

Pilot Charlie was cute as a button and concept of a musical-obsessed Pollyanna Disney princess of Hell seemed like a cool premise.
Watch first series, gradually lose interest in character losing that level of cute. Some other interesting characters and ideas that don't really go anywhere or are underserved, generally getting lost in the shuffle of Viv's divine war shit. By the end I was pretty disappointed.

Pilot Charlie was cute as a button and concept of a musical-obsessed Pollyanna Disney princess of Hell seemed like a cool premise.
Watch first series, gradually lose interest in character losing that level of cute. Some other interesting characters and ideas that don't really go anywhere or are underserved, generally getting lost in the shuffle of Viv's divine war shit. By the end I was pretty disappointed.

In short, I have a feeling you didn't even watch the cartoon, as I said, maybe it gets more perverted in later episodes but if you removed the swearing and blood and the prostitute demon, you could easily make this a Disney cartoon.
