time just passing, no progression, in a job well beneath my capabilities though it's fairly pleasant. my mother is dying, my father died 20 years ago, family disjointed. almost no friends, don't have a house or even a car, health messed up some years ago out of the blue and has derailed my already not on track life.
could be far worse but I never envisaged this as a child.
sorry about the family - enjoy the time with your mum as much as you can while you have it. but yeah its hard to retain friends at our age - drinking takes too much out of everybody's busy lives especially as most have family/kids/busy work lives, they cant be hungover for days at a time. Perhaps you should look to God anon. Building a relationship with him will ease your soul and give you meaning. Also church is a great way to meet and hang out with VERY friendly and welcoming people at least once a week, but can be far more than that.
If that's not your thing (it wasnt mine either until i gave it a go) enjoy your hobbies. I personally have so much film/music/video game content on my home server that I am never bored.
