The strikes are definitely happening by 2024, and if S2 has just been greenlit, production should start next year. The Animation's Guild contract should expire by May, and unless studios negotiate a deal for them (they won't) we'll get another strike. The success of the writer's strike pretty much confirms every other industry that can strike, will end up doing so. That said, I just remembered A24 complied with the writers and actors strike before the AMPTP, and if they do so next year then Hazbin might be safe.

The other reason the design changes in merch isn't happening is because they're trying to create a retro market. Once the new show comes out, they stop releasing the old stuff but hold onto some of it to try and sell to the "collectors" who have money to waste (on vivzi merch and not rent).
You ever watch an A24 movie? They let a lot of shit fly in that department. I'm surprised more of the attention prostitutes in hollywood aren't running to them for work more often because of it.
It being on Prime though creates a new issue. This being that they tend to be more off hands with things they publish and that can be in some cases good, but in others... yeah. This may mean that Viv doesn't have many people supervising what she is doing so that means the quality of writing from Season 2 of HB may be here which in my case ranges from fine to atrocious, more often than not being closer to the latter.

As an oldgay I can confirm the bulk of the reason the hype for Helluva lasted as long as it did between the pilot and episode 1 proper was because of Loona. Main reason why hype between episode 7 and season 2 lasted awhile; or why the show still has a serious fanbase. To this day things still aren't quite the same because of episode 8's delay. People like Loona. It's as simple as that.

The problem with Netflix having it is the fact that they tend to dub their shows into many other languages and having to pick people who can sing the songs and reinterpret them for different regions seems like too much work and some of the dubs would have sucked for sure.

Most fans have accepted Michael not being Angel Dust anymore since it's been a few years since that came out, but because Ed didn't say anything when it happened they are still convinced he's in it despite the proof showing otherwise.

And then she just fires everyone in a mass email and cited diversity quotas as one of the driving factors. So while yeah this is a business and technically they were never guaranteed the roles when it went mainstream it'll hurt the autistic fanbase when it's officially revealed everyone is gone.
