The Egg of the Perfect World at the end of Conviction has extremely explicit in explaining he was going to be the vessel Femto was reborn via, the Demon Child is unrelated to Griffith until the Egg happened upon it. Griffith didn't plan on the Demon Child/Moonlight Boy, and there's no way it doesn't directly cause his defeat.

A big issue was that Miura just couldn't do what he used to be able to do, likely from health issues. He switched to digital, some time around the start of the boat arc. There, his art began to slowly crumble away, as he had to relearn how to draw. He also hired helpers that he trained in his art style, to help him get chapters out faster
He must have been really sick if he needed his own acolytes to help him out with the manga. His lifestyle was less than ideal. It isn't so shocking he died fairly young

The whole moonlight boy plot just feels so convoluted and stupid. Miura should have just had Femto be the butthole not-Shin character from Black Swordsman arc, that he became after Golden Age, without all of this extra baggage
I believe Miura said that Void is key to the endgame. I think we'll see some kind of infighting among the God Hand, with Void trying to ascend even further, using Femto's position among humanity to achieve this end. Then that exploitation of the MLB will come into play
Having Void be the boss without having developed him as a character more will be a real letdown. Miura shouldn't have let the other Godhand go so long without doing anything if they are a major point of contention in the story. All the pirate ship and Sea God shit could have been scrapped for some Godhand backstories

Eventually you will discover why no one adapts the manga into any other media past the first arrival of the Godhand. It starts a gradual decline that just gets steeper and steeper with ever chapter beyond that. At first you don't notice, then you think it's just a lull in the action, but by the time the story has become "Guts and his plucky band of magic-item wielding young people" it's apparent he's lost his mind.

Literally not the case. The fate which is talked about is the result of a higher being, born from humanity, guiding humanity's course. It's not as bleak as the usual science based predeterminism.

Miura shit the bed by neglecting to explain the higher mysteries of the series. He brings in the Four Kings that seemingly control the major elements of the world and are the founding deities of the Holy See, yet does little with them and eventually just forgets they exist at all. How do they fit in with the Godhand? Are they opposed to them? Do they influence death in any way? None of that gets clarified for the reader
Guts should have been a QT girl, and he would have a yuri relationship with Casca, Griffith would be jealous and the series would ensue like normal. But during the eclipse while Casca is getting raped by the apostles griffith would be raping guts. Then guts would give birth to the child that griffith would eventually use to reincarnate into the real world.
