Yeah prince said he didn’t like the proposed costumes etc and he had dropped the whole androgynous style and carry on of the 80s by that time so he probably felt they wanted him to play a parody of his former self so better someone else did it. Which tucker did.

it's a kids movie in some places
Pg-13 just means it doesn't have so much violence, sex and swearing that they think it's inappropriate to show someone young. It doesn't mean every pg-13 movie was made for kids lol
You get to watch kino with your mom and have a fond memory and connection with her via a film about Southern self discovery after she dies from drug overdose when you're 17
I mean uhh that movie is stupid and it turns you gay, women aren't people haha I hate women kill all prostitutes I don't miss my mommy at all especially not since I'm 30 hahaha

I wish my mom had killed herself of a drug overdose when she was 17. You have no idea how lucky you are anon. The ride never ends

You're either really young or just have a shitty mom. That happens sometimes but not every time. Some mothers are angelic. Im sorry yours wasn't.

damn man. My condolences. My mother and I's relationship was absolutely abysmal as a child, but as I grew older I realized it was alot at work, she didn't despise me. She was just not highly socially intelligent and felt completely out of control of her relationship with my father. Now she takes my wife to go shopping, raises beef and gives it to us for free, and is always helpful and calm (now that they're divorced). I wouldn't want to imagine never getting to "fix" our relationship. Can you tell me another story about you and your mom if you want?
it is if youre based. it's also not as good as an adult if you are. midwit mountain is not liking this as a kid but thinking it's the height of kino as an adult
If you like wacky sci-fi, then yeah, you should like it. Otherwise, you'll hate it. Cassie took it WAY too seriously and it clearly wasn't her cup of tea. Personally, I think it's one of the most amazing visions of the future with fun characters and action, definitely recommend
Thought he was hilarious when it first came out, and still do.
Great movie with awesome world-building.
People splooge all over Tarantino, but Besson’s best—Nikita, Leon, this one—are probably more well crafted and entertaining than any QT flick. I could watch them all on repeat and never get tired of them.
>watch reaction of that blonde b***h who always eat >she cringes during every Chris Tucker scene >"I dont like him"
Thumbed her vid down instantly.
How the frick cant she immerse herself into the fun ridiculousness of the third act and give in unstoppable energy of an actor? She is dense as the fricking rock.
Holy shit what a dumb b***h.
You could tell immediately it wasn't her kind of movie, she was concentrating so hard, taking it way too serious and about half way through she says, "wait, I think this is supposed to be comical...?"
I read recently that Gary Oldman hated this role, he only did it as a favour, didn't read the script and thought the film was shit. That's absolutely bizarre to me.
But do you know even 20% of Oldman's movies? I don't like it as a rule but about 20% of his films are <10% on Rotten Tomatoes including multiple zeroes. I like it, but his latest project is Slow Horses, where he has multiple farting scenes.
The Fifth Element is probably my favourite film though to be honest with you.
He disliked his own performance in the role. He dislikes all of his performances, though. Here's the exchange
>PLAYBOY: When you look back at your credits, what makes you say, “I could have done better”? >OLDMAN: Most of it. >PLAYBOY: Really? You don’t like Sid & Nancy? >OLDMAN: I don’t like myself in the movie, no. Frankly, I didn’t want to make it in the first place. I was talked into it at the time. And now, if I flip through the channels and come upon it, it’s “Frick! Sid & Nancy,” and off it goes. I don’t think I played Sid Vicious very well. I don’t like the way I look in Prick Up Your Ears. I wasn’t the right person to play Beethoven and turned it down half a dozen times. >PLAYBOY: The Dark Knight? Harry Potter? >OLDMAN: It was work. >PLAYBOY: Uh, The Fifth Element? >OLDMAN: Oh no. I can’t bear it.
One of the best movies ever.
It's pure, concentrated 90s kino.
Hated it when I was younger but can appreciate how fricking kino it truly is.
Chris Tucker nailed the character written for Prince.
>the character written for Prince
For real?
Yeah prince said he didn’t like the proposed costumes etc and he had dropped the whole androgynous style and carry on of the 80s by that time so he probably felt they wanted him to play a parody of his former self so better someone else did it. Which tucker did.
Prince is 1/10 the actor Tucker is
For sure. One of my favorites.
True. Its just an incredible ride.
I hadn't watched it until recently and it's great
it's weird how the sex addict writers managed to cram sex scene in a kid's movie
The Fifth Element isn't a kid's movie.
My parents showed it to me when I was a kid, so it's a kid's movie.
My parents always had me watch from the closet when they had their cuckold sessions, I suppose you'd consider that a kid's movie too?
I'm not an amerimutt so my family wasn't puritanical.
should've showed you the best story never told instead
>any movie with a pg13 rating is a kid's movie
>pg13 rating
It's a kid movie for the French.
Pg-13 just means it doesn't have so much violence, sex and swearing that they think it's inappropriate to show someone young. It doesn't mean every pg-13 movie was made for kids lol
America is the only country that matters.
wrong, usa made little mermaid 2023 possible

it's a kids movie in some places
what happens when you make your kids watch Fried Green Tomatoes?
They learn about cannibalism from sweet souther ladies.

Just because you're a puritan moron doesn't mean the rest of the world is. Sex is natural and healthy.
have a nice day neo-boomer
Chris Tucker was robbed of an Oscar
He was the Scuttlebutt of his day
I like him and Jar Jar.
was tricky in this or is my mind playing tricks on me?
Haven't seen this but Cassie recently watched it. Considering giving it a go so I can enjoy her content. Is it worth it?
If you like wacky sci-fi, then yeah, you should like it. Otherwise, you'll hate it. Cassie took it WAY too seriously and it clearly wasn't her cup of tea. Personally, I think it's one of the most amazing visions of the future with fun characters and action, definitely recommend
Unironically my favorite movie of all time. Watched it dozens of times and never get tired of it
ruby is a pleb filter, if you don't like him, then you're opinion on everything else is shit. i love this homie
Do you think Corbin Dallas ever fricked his hair pussy?
*LOUD OBNOXIOUS BLACK MAN NOISES*

Thought he was hilarious when it first came out, and still do.

yeah that homie was ZESTY
Tucker is in the new movie "Air" and I barely recognized him until he spoke.

what a fricking idiot
He surely did. He is the sugar on top of a very shitty flick. The chick looks sexy tho.
Is he called Ruby Rod because his rod is all red from fricking so many white b***hes?

his greatest role
>Gary Oldman
thinks he's some serious actor and not some lol cow

WATCH OUT! REVERSE FLASH IS BEHIND YOU!!
I can't say "all night long" without singing it with his accent and tone. Yes I do know I'm autistic, how could you tell?
The blue alien woman singing was the coolest. 2nd place goes to Tucker stealing the show.
