man I so looked forward to growing up and becoming a mall teen
then malls just died and I never had a car anyway. or money. I went to the mall once in a while with my mom, never saw any other young people anyway. never had friends. i had a fantastic childhood but an entirely wasted adolescence.

As someone who is in college right now it feels so weird, especially after I lost my senior year.

oh god i can't even imagine being in college TODAY. it was dull in 2005 but it's literally "kill all men" now.

I want a girl like this more than anything in the world, and I'll never have one. I feel like Samurai Jack trying to find a time machine.

Pan is probably the only person in the world who knows this pain, and I'll never meet him. But hey, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe he's found one of these girls and he doesn't know the pain anymore.

I mean if it's trying to be authentically 2000s, we didn't have such nice clean images, we weren't THAT gauche with the colors (readability still mattered), and- well it also has soundcloud embeds instead of a windows media player plugin, and it's in widescreen instead of normalscreen.

Dude, if you want a scene girl who's your age, then you gotta find one who's both a scene girl, and also a sad twenty something who can't let go of the past. That'll ensure that she never grows out of it and you two will be together forever.

sad thing is it's easy to see what happened

i gotta say, and i've been a longtime defender of random humor against the whining it started to get, rewatching IZ i don't laugh as much as I did back in the day....
except for GIR. GIR still makes me laugh on a regular basis. It's just the timing and inflection of his lines, even if they're hard to understand sometimes.

Rikki Simmons was a comic book artist and Jhonen's friend who became the voice of GIR. He's funny because it's not a typical "funny guy" voice, it's someone's first gig.
