I didn't understand your post since it was very oddly worded so I assumed you were trying to insult me. Either way, you should still insult me. I like it.
man I so looked forward to growing up and becoming a mall teen
then malls just died and I never had a car anyway. or money. I went to the mall once in a while with my mom, never saw any other young people anyway. never had friends. i had a fantastic childhood but an entirely wasted adolescence.
Fricking same. Damn you Hollywood for making me think high school was gonna a be a magical journey.

oh and let's not forget shit like Undergrads making us think college would be this fun crazy party full of naked runs and watching movies with friends. it was just work that you paid for, and a huge surprise bill. you hear this small interest percentage, you think okay, 35 grand, I can pay that off. then by the time you do it's quadrupled.

Not that anon but all my life I was told I was gonna find the right woman in college. 2 years in and I'm the loneliest I've been in years.

As someone who is in college right now it feels so weird, especially after I lost my senior year.
oh god i can't even imagine being in college TODAY. it was dull in 2005 but it's literally "kill all men" now. >lost senior year
whatchu mean? i skipped mine because i had enough credits to graduate. also skipped most of sophomore year. homeschool is awesome.

I want a girl like this more than anything in the world, and I'll never have one. I feel like Samurai Jack trying to find a time machine.
Pan is probably the only person in the world who knows this pain, and I'll never meet him. But hey, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe he's found one of these girls and he doesn't know the pain anymore.

Med/Law school or double major?
I mean if it's trying to be authentically 2000s, we didn't have such nice clean images, we weren't THAT gauche with the colors (readability still mattered), and- well it also has soundcloud embeds instead of a windows media player plugin, and it's in widescreen instead of normalscreen.

oh you mean you had in-person social events you weren't able to do? shit i have no idea what that is like. it was literally no change for me. already generally order all my groceries since it's too hot and cold here.
>at local mall, needed to pick up something for family >check into hot topic for funsies >gir shirts and backpacks still there
Some things never change
you mean made them better?
god damn I miss girls from this generation. they're not like this anymore.
sometimes I watch stuff from the 80s and girls back then were also amazing.
Dude, if you want a scene girl who's your age, then you gotta find one who's both a scene girl, and also a sad twenty something who can't let go of the past. That'll ensure that she never grows out of it and you two will be together forever.
Hey man don't lose hope. Maybe you'll find a sad thirty-something scene girl, who has a rare disease that causes her body to stop aging physically at the age of 18.

I'll do this. I don't want any of my friends feeling lonely.
sad thing is it's easy to see what happened
the sensitive types, the ones with some depth and maybe some emotional drama.. were fricking magnets for cultural re-engineering. once they got that offer to finally 'fit in' it was intoxicating to them.
My Fiancée is one, once you find one you gotta move fast. I did have to binge the entirety of invader zim as part of my homework that I gave myself when we first started dating.
that's beautiful. I'm glad some of you guys found yours
anyway I just gotta remember hopelessness is how god makes sure when he fixes everything we don't think we fixed it ourselves.
i gotta say, and i've been a longtime defender of random humor against the whining it started to get, rewatching IZ i don't laugh as much as I did back in the day....
except for GIR. GIR still makes me laugh on a regular basis. It's just the timing and inflection of his lines, even if they're hard to understand sometimes.
Rikki Simmons was a comic book artist and Jhonen's friend who became the voice of GIR. He's funny because it's not a typical "funny guy" voice, it's someone's first gig.
>dressed as a dog
That's some top-tier poetry.
Women we're always terrible, at least they're more forthcoming now

you just know
That tiny, shitty .gif summarizes a lot of mid-2000s internet. I feel so old just looking at it.
I was too young to witness it firsthand, but I still miss it somehow
Same... also that image isn't actually from that era, it's from spacehey.
>zoomer trying to do a stereotypical appropriation of mallgoth norms
Shame me baby, it only makes me more powerful

Pan is that you?
Maybe?
You know I'd agree with you but my spacehey account isn't much better, got to study up on my 2000s culture more.

With his robowiener?
>he created an entire generation of perfect women
ftfy
What did these women grow up into anyway? I feel like they'd never fully change. (That's a good thing by the way)
>What did these women grow up into anyway?
What we all grew up into. Disillusioned middle aged balls of anxiety.
In already half way there minus the middle aged part
>Me as a kid playing this game: Ha-ha! Funny face man!
>Me now: ha...
how old were you when the game came out?
If we assume he's currently 19, that would mean he'd be around 12 years old when Undertale first came out
jesus I just dried up into a corpse. undertale really came out 7 years ago? the same length of time I worked an office job? frick.
frick I haven't thought about Domo-kun in years

Gir and Jack Skellington are the eternal kings of Hot Topic and Spencer's.

There are still women like this anon, I've seen them. Just keep looking and you'll have your scene girl gf before you know it.
yeah, and Molly Grue finally saw her unicorn
:s but it was too late.
Dude, if you want a scene girl who's your age, then you gotta find one who's both a scene girl, and also a sad twenty something who can't let go of the past. That'll ensure that she never grows out of it and you two will be together forever.
30-something. which i'm not attracted to generally. i'm fricked. I was really goodlooking once, you know.

I wonder what the girl in this picture is doing nowadays?
is that not Lauren Faust

I luv gaz
i wan 2 marry gaz.
If I could tell you how many middle-school boys walk around dressed as this fricking dog every halloween in my town I would tear my eyes out
been rewatching IZ lately. so good. yet rarely great.
he almost ruined me as a boy
Anon that's super gay.
He uplifted them
I was always a big GIR fan, but I liked his actual robot look and didn't care for the dog suit, so this was always odd to me
Both are fantastic character designs, as were most on the show
i gotta say, and i've been a longtime defender of random humor against the whining it started to get, rewatching IZ i don't laugh as much as I did back in the day....
