Everything after season 1 was horrible. The show couldn't sustain an identity, a narrative, or a thematic framing. Just a bunch of epic twists to keep jaded wine-drinking millennials talking about it every week.

I can't believe anyone has called her a strategist, she's a spoiled moron.

As much as I hated her, to be fair, she saved the company at least twice, when everyone else fricked up

      >gets senator to make a deal with Logan in S1
      >talks the rape victim out of going public in S2

Same as the other kids she’s a massive frick up who sometimes lands a hit

Roman was the only good choice as a successor, ie someone that would've kept the business the same and his loyalty to his dad was actually his strongest asset so that's why I don't buy the he'd get bored argument, he just needed better advisors around him. Ken was too erratic and was too easily swayed by public opinion and wanted to make the business into something with no real form. Shiv was obviously the worst option since she wanted to make the business basically the opposite of what it was.
I also feel the last 2 seasons wrote Roman into a clear "winning" position before just deciding to write him out for arbitrary reasons

Roman never wanted the position, he just wanted love from daddy. Which is why the moment he died he stopped being a contender.

The entire point of the show was that they were all incompetent nepo babies and none of them "deserved" anything.

I've seen people say they're incompetent but in the show they're the three that land most of the shit and make some of the biggest successful plays. If anything the heads of the companies are shown to be outright useless and do literally nothing. Also Mattson was gonna take over the company and he was shown to be incredibly incompetent yet logan seems to give him alot of respect and if anything the last season kinda elevates all the kids beyond Mattson and shows they know and understand the world alot better than him and Logan was wrong in his opinion of them

The canon is that Kendall founds a new company which ends up being extremely successful, but not to the extent Waystar-Royco was.

Kendall is the only one of the 4 who is competent, but his personal shit keeps ruining that, which is why he finally succeeds after the end of the show since he is no longer tied to ANY of his family. Ironically, being a nepo baby probably hindered Kendall's life more than it helped, at least when it comes to his happiness and the public's perception of him.

Kendall is the most self destructive of the 4. Roman despite being evil or something has no real addictions and is an incredible people person and can actually cut through alot the public opinion bullshit. Siobhan is incredibly smart but was put in a situation where she wanted something which she wasn't honestly the right fit for. Connor is kinda out of the loop and just lives like a rich person, he's not competent but he accepts his life for what it is and most absurdly rich people are useless

Roman is “an incredible people person?”

Who did he ever succeed in winning to their side? Both the Asian dude and the President were his job to bring on side and both went against them

          >gojo was also literally his idea
          >groomed since he was seven years old to be the next ceo
he has self destructive qualities and manic episodes but to pretend like he wasn't the only competent roy kid is dumb

Incompetent compared to who? The characters we barely see who win?

Its bizarre anyone thinks this is a good take or story

No, the point of the show was that despite being "nepo babies" they all had the potential for greatness that was repeatedly snuffed out by their shit-tier parents and lack of actual guidance

Except Connor, but he was probably the smartest because he decided to say "frick that" and lives relatively stress free with a sexy high class prostitute

Literally EVERYONE thought "living plus" would bomb horrifically and make shareholders run away screaming, but Ken managed to deliver a presentation that sent the company's stock skyrocketing

      Ken was not incompetent

the only reason why he "lost" for the third time is because jesse made the show for the twitter audience like this anon and wanted shiv to "win" because shes better than the rest and fails only because shes a woman. finale ken and ep9 ken are two completely different characters kek

The problem is the snow runner has a moronic worldview that collapses upon the most basic scrutiny, that they themselves don’t even believe. Yet insisted on forcing it into the story.

“People don’t change” (except all the heckin Blacks who killed and assaulted people and are locked in prison, they can change)
