according to some mental illness wiki I found when looking it up, it means
                >a transgender person (generally, but not exclusively, one who was assigned female at birth), and whose gender is masculine and/or who express themselves in a masculine way
which means there are probably a fair share of males who troon out but don't pass so they consider themselves "transmasc" because they are inherently masculine. other than that I'm not sure what the difference is between a "transmasc" and a butch dyke. former is probably just a euphemism for the latter.

And cursive helps with that? The point of cursive is to write more, and write quicker. You jotting recipes at a mile a minute?

No it's not, I've lost data off phones way more often than I've lost an entire fricking book.

You sound like a fricking moron, bro. Ever heard of Google Docs? Backing up files to a storage location? How the hell are you losing data off of phones anyway?

                >And cursive helps with that?
Whether it's cursive or not is irrelevant. I write in cursive because that's my handwriting. You asked for a circumstance in which pen and paper is more convenient.

                Anonymous

The root of the conversation is about cursive. We all teach basic print writing because it's standardized and contains very little variation. Then at some point a little beyond that, we're meant to learn cursive, because it's "quicker." The problem is, typing is quicker, more convenient, and more useful. It supplants the intended use of cursive.

                Anonymous

Typing isn't always more convenient. I gave an example. When writing by hand, cursive is quicker and comes more naturally to people educated in that style. The only reason to write in print or block capitals is for forms that are scanned by machinery or non-whites who can't read it.

              Anonymous

why are you even handling the recipe so often that this inconveniences you, you shouldn't need to look at it more than a couple times, and as if drying your hands is such a monumental task. if your kitchen is as chaotic as it sounds that recipes just gonna get ruined anyway, with you walking around covered in meat juice not knowing the next steps

and seriously, worried about phone battery? come on. i don't care about this cursive debate but you sound like a boomer just inventing reasons to be mad at technology.

It's easier and faster to write and it just looks nicer. Print writing will literally always look like a 7 year old wrote it.

Cursive was mandatory to learn when I was in 3rd grade, and I legitimately haven't written anything of note except my signature since college. By all means, teach cursive as an elective, or learn it as a hobby, but you're doing the equivalent of learning Latin.

        >you're doing the equivalent of learning Latin.

The point is no one's fricking using print writing anyway. At most you have edge cases where writing something down is useful, but general? We're all typing. You're typing right now.

The conversation is the point, not the outcome of whatever story they're telling you.
For women, talking isn't a tool for conveying information - it's a social activity.

In all seriousness though, how come every time a woman tells a story it involves the idea that every person they ever encounter is out to be rude and personally insult/belittle/undermine them and it's probably because they're sexist and/or jealous depending on gender.

          Anonymous

They're seriously making up the rules as they go. They used to have phones built into all the seats on airplanes, then they got rid of them and you couldn't use any electronics until you were at altitude, then they made it so you could use electronics throughout the entire flight as long as wireless signals were disabled, then they modified that by letting you connect to Wi-Fi on the plane. Now if the plane technology was changing that would be one thing, but they're applying these rules to the same planes that were flying in 1997 so I don't see why they'd change unless they just don't really understand how any of it works.

You've gotta keep in mind that Boomers had access to well paying jobs straight out of high school with zero relevant experience. They could climb their way up the ladder easily simply by showing up to work every day, and even people with a part time grocery store job could buy a house in a year or two if they saved up money.

Now employers want ridiculous amount of experience for entry level work that doesn't pay enough to keep up with the constantly inflating cost of living. Not only that but most jobs have no upward mobility, are at risk for AI automation and outsourcing, and you can be laid off at any time for no reason like in 2008 and during covid. Plus every major western country imports millions of immigrants every year that get preferential treatment and compete directly with you for jobs and resources.

Not saying you're wrong though, but you gotta keep things in perspective for how much the job market has changed in such a short amount of time. If young men can't get ahead no matter how much they try, why wouldn't they indulge in hedonism to feel some semblance of happiness?

Every Superman movie Dobson featured in that comic with the exception of BvS takes place in a world where Superman is the only superhero around except maybe Supergirl. MoS doesn't count, it's only part of a cinematic universe retroactively.

Captain Marvel on the other hand exists in a universe with damn near 100+ other heroes so her absurd power level threatens to make them all redundant.

        Anonymous

Superman frequently faces things that are existential-level threats, and the kicker is that every time he does it, he does so with no guarantee he’ll survive the experience. He’s like a firefighter to the infinite power. When he’s not facing threats on that level, the stories are frequently about moral/personal dilemmas regarding what the right thing to do truly is. There is actually a scene in BvS, a little touch that’s easy to miss, but one that reveals Snyder understands the character better than practically all his critics.

Martha Kent finds Lois up in Clark’s old room and gives her the ring he’d sent there to keep it a secret. Silver Age Superman would have forged it himself from some ultra-rare alien metal, crushed the diamond out of coal, and flown it to his mom. Not modern Superman. No, the Superman of Snyder’s films is far, far more human than that. His Clark Kent saved up, shopped for it, hell probably took out a loan for it, then had it shipped to his mom. Why? Because he doesn’t think like an alien demigod. He thinks like a man from Kansas.

That's because their life sucks even though they're rich.

When they say that, they mean that after a certain point more money is useless for climbing the ladder towards happiness. Of course if you're destitute, thats a different story.

it's a saying that originated in white culture in which almost everyone had a high quality of life and lived in a safe community. obviously the saying doesn't make much sense when you live in a diverse liberal society in which the israelites own all the money and everyone else is poor and lives in a rental pod. which is really strange because I thought they were all supposed to own nothing and be happy.

My favorite comic of this gay's is the one where a troony and a brown girl are talking and the troon casually brings up how he's glad he grew out of his "nazi phase" and he jokes about how he probably would have called her a slur by then.
The autist incel to troon pipeline is very real.

Always remember: when bolsheviks claim they want to abolish the police, what they really mean is that they want to replace the police with THEIR police to enforce THEIR laws that will benefit themselves.

Never ever EVER trust a bolshevik or ANYTHING they say. never engage them in intellectually honest discussion. always lie to them, cheat them, and demean them, before they do it to you (they will).

I mean, white women turning on Hamas instantly is really really funny
they're also posting hilarious takes like this
they truly don't realize that "decolonization" means "a lot of women just like them getting raped"
the blacks on twitter were also low key reinforcing that sentiment.
White liberals (the only group with an outgroup bias) are the only group without racial consciousness, and don't realize that they are trying to kill themselves

there are several stories like this. a californian girl was staying in my state and got raped and murdered in a corn field by an illegal beaner (pretty well known case) and her parents immediately forgave him and said they didn't want the death being used to fuel racism or some dumb shit. I also remember a story elsewhere about a woman who defended the ape who murdered her family and supported him when he got out of jail, and he promptly murdered her too.

Cursive is your own artistry and it filters midwits. That's why it's good

      Anonymous

      >your own artistry
this is why it's a bad method of writing, because it's not standardized and some people are really fricking bad "artists" and you can't read their cursive at all.

        Anonymous

        As I said, it's a midwit filter

writing someone that literally nobody else but you can read is only a midwit filter in the sense that you are the midwit.

        >it's not standardized
Except it is. There are standard ways of writing cursive in English (Anglo) and they are/were taught to children. There may be small embellishments that people add for personal flair, but it's all still legible.
The only cursive that's hard to read is people with shitty handwriting, either because they weren't taught properly, couldn't be bothered to teach themselves, or they're sloppy people.
