Typing isn't always more convenient. I gave an example. When writing by hand, cursive is quicker and comes more naturally to people educated in that style. The only reason to write in print or block capitals is for forms that are scanned by machinery or non-whites who can't read it.

Now if the plane technology was changing that would be one thing, but they're applying these rules to the same planes that were flying in 1997 so I don't see why they'd change unless they just don't really understand how any of it works.

Not only that but most jobs have no upward mobility, are at risk for AI automation and outsourcing, and you can be laid off at any time for no reason like in 2008 and during covid. Plus every major western country imports millions of immigrants every year that get preferential treatment and compete directly with you for jobs and resources.
