    >MGS4, MGS5, Death Stranding
sorry, no, he'd be shit just like those were. Whatever touch Kojima had he lost after MGS3.

I watched Death Stranding on youtube, it was pretty engaging.

the man was 2 decades ahead of every one when he dropped MGS. Death Stranding is 15 decades away. Either catch up or stop posting.

Death stranding is 80% kino and the rest is just filler gameplay mechanics. It's a modern masterpiece.

Some people have it completely wrong, Kojima successfully brough film into gaming, MGS for PS1 is STILL incredible game to this day, came out in time of first Tomb Raider, Tekken 2 or Final Fantasy 7, it was technically and dramatically years ahead of them, but Kojima has nothing to offer to movie industry.

Without Konami, and as this was the point his name alone wouldn't have carried the undue influence of his ego on the actual game, 3 would have been some shitty Death Stranding type "I want to eat sushi with ugly actors" excuse, and it would have flopped very hard, and if you did at that point know of him, you would quickly forget about him.

Compare him to Molyneux (for some reason memed to hell by underages in Cinemaphile and a thread in /vg/ as some giant incompetent), who was an actual slave driver when it came to his ideas, made a wide assortment of good games for it, but as he gets older and his tastes change people find they don't like him any more. So, I think Molyneux would make better films, and he'd also make some pretty awful ones. Kojima on the other hand, would never recover from the failure of his first film, because nobody with any self respect in the film industry would let him stamp his name all over their potentially successful hard work.

      >"d-didju rike it?"
      >"that film by Michael Bay? It was okay."
      >"watashi no namae in the credits"
      >"sorry bro, I don't pay attention to the names of the Chinese extras."
      >"gomenasai, I'll Death Stranding out of the way..."

Tells a lot about gaming that a hack ripping off 80s action B-movies is considered a genius.

Sure, then he’ll start going over budget and spending money on unnecessary bullshit.

Cinemaphile doesn’t understand that Hollywood is just a business like the video game industry. Producers want efficiency not pretentious arthouse films.

MGS5 was objectively unfinished game, both by its form and by the admission of the developers.
I liked the beginning, I liked that Huey was a piece of shit instead of Otacon's clone, I liked the schizoid parts with Paz but the

        >CORD
        >PARASITES
        can suck my ass.

Also a MGS game where you can achieve highest possible score using lethal means is not a MGS game.

Dude every single piece of shit costs over $200 million dollars nowadays.
The Killer cost $175 000 000. How? How? What the frick about that movie cost nearly 200 mil without marketing? I think Kojima would fit right in at the current state.

i think they'd be perfect given how bland and samey movies are now. one reason Parasite and Squid Game are so popular is because of how completely creatively bankrupt Hollywood has historically been.

His art literally needs to be video games. It wouldn't straight up translate into movies because a crucial part of the actual effect his stories have is the interactivity aspect.
And I mean look dude I'm not heralding this guy as a genius I'm just saying he definitely is in the proper medium for himself to be working in.
