The show has been running for so long they get bored and start doing stuff like this with their characters because they've gotten so familiar with them. I think a better version of this sort of realisation about Cartman was the Kanye gayfish one as it was considerably more funny and absurd and the connection between Cartman and Kanye has aged strangely well considering Kanye is openly antisemetic now..

Kyle was prototumbrl and can't endure that his mother was a karen and his father was a right wing tard that doesn't care about poor and likes to "push down" minorities and woman. So in the end is a mix of a Karen psycho that could end alone.
Stan on the other hand was a animal right activist but still like to laugh, him and Kenny are c**ts but the good kind unlike kyle. They still had faults and can be cruel but are more self aware about their problem
In the end Kyle life will be him projecting his insecurities to cartman while Stan&Kenny will have a better life if their parent don't frick up(like Randy in the covid special forever saying to Stan that he killed his sister and his mother)
My problem Nu-Stan is that he's too boring. In the older seasons he was saner than most, yet c**tish enough to be funny, Like when he said Barbra Streisand had a nose big enough to land planes. Whereas in the later seasons, he's just there to give le facepalm reaction to the rest of the town's stupidity.
Yeah, that's a problem, usually stan being normal was more about he was weirdly normal, like when he discover that japanese kills whales.
