This show was really good. It's crazy how each episode didn't get five million views. It really sucks how the algorithm makes it almost impossible to create shows. The success on the platform comes from Let's Plays, reviewers, podcasts, video essays. High quality properly made shows get treated terribly. There's a few successes here and there but YouTube makes it way too hard to make it with high-quality original content and everything has to be based off of riffing on something else. There should be a system where you can register what you are doing as a proper show with Youtube and after human review they give it preferential treatment. Not the perfect solution but we really should do something to help people who want to make original shows.
Now I know this show technically does reviews but that's just a way to get eyeballs on the show. It's really about the characters and it's a properly animated show. Too bad the clickbait wasn't enough. He tried everything he even did an animated episode about a video game to try and curry Youtubes favor but that episode I don't think even cracked half a million (last time I checked). It's too bad Felix never talked about Brain Dump that could have been huge.
And now HotdiggedyDemon succumbed to the fate of all Youtube animators and became a let's Player. so sad but you can't really blame him or anyone really except the algorithm.
Poor max, always on the verge of success but never quite making it. Imagine having over a million views per video and not affording a minimum living standard

he was always playing on twitch since, he just changed to youtube for the streaming lol.
I stopped watching when the titles ceased to have anything to do with the contents of the videos. Not in a "grrr he tricked me!!" way, but in a "if I don't know what the video is going to actually be about then it's not going to grab my interest" way.
What do you mean, Mike and Jay look better than ever, Mike might have gone bald, and Rich is now dead but Rich has a hot ghost girlfriend, Mike has lost the weight, and Jay has looksmaxxed into Gigachad territory.
>jay
All he did was lose weight, get better hygiene, and dressed better. That's literally all it takes. Now him growing out his hair to this degree looks bad though because once again he is looking unhygienic.
Every time I try to watch new RLM videos, I just remember their braindead take on the Kenobi show and suddenly every word out of Mike or Rich's mouth just becomes razors on my eardrums. I wish it wasn't the case, but goddamn, those stupid fricking opinions on that dogshit show killed any interested I have in what they say about ANYTHING.
Yeah it's kind of hard to watch the guys who made the nerd crew videos unironically dress up in star trek uniforms for trivia. Tbf those videos are funny as frick, but the uniforms and the aforementioned Kenobi review doesn't really feel like what made RLM popular in the first place.
max b***hes about not making any money and acts like its some absolute fact of being an artist, but this fricker had every opportunity to monetize himself properly and make broader connections but he thought he has "above all that"
>refused to open a Patreon until he was already long past peak popularity >killed Wisenheimers >did the absolute minimum in terms of merch >stopped doing con visits >decides to start streaming regularly NOW when this is something he could've started doing 10+ years ago >burned bridges with other animators/creators
apparently it was more important for him to be an edgy twitter troll in his 30s than have money and friends
Max had an extremely strong peak dedicating himself to his projects. He was getting booty calls from conventions and Nickelodeon, and every new cartoon he released was treated like an event. Peak of hotdiggedydemon.
Brain Dump is an incredible feat in YouTube animation, and has seen a lot of positive response from past connections that didn't much care for Max back then, he's definitely changed some hearts.
Didn't he originally make Brain Dump as a practical, efficient way to get more content created, but it ended up getting just as ambitious as all his previous works?
what can you say - the guy has passion for his work
I mean even his streams are extremely polished - I just wish him and yotam genuinely all the best, even if they are both massive raging homos <3
Who's the guy on the right, he looks creepy
Peedee file
Max's new neighbor
He hits on goofball briefly and drops the N word on his way out

Am I crazy, or did this seem like he was hoping pewdiepie would shout out this animation or reach out or something?
Maybe if the dibshit made actual episodes instead of his self pity family guy tryna be deep shit then he might not have had to make lets plays.
the show is actually fun if you ignore the self-pity parts
which is 90% of the show but not every episode is like that i swear

Red Letter Media really fell off huh?

Yeah, more or less.

More or less, and a valiant effort. The fastest turnaround for an episode was five days.
someoned edit this but replace pewdiepie with Cinemaphilenrad
I send Max an email every day since 2015 requesting another .MOV episode.
