I hope you're staying cool as summer finally is upon us! And speaking of, the Summer Cup will be kicking off in a month! Since it's been a hot minute since we talked players, it's time to refresh the roster once again! We'd like suggestions on who you'd like to see play in the upcoming Summer Cup!

Here's the current roster! We'll take suggestions until...July 2nd so we can start the poll on Monday!
Replace the RX-78-2 with Aerial
Aerial is already on the roster, shitposter-kun
Replace Aerial with either Darilbalde ot Calibarn
Replace the RX-78 with Victory then since this year is its 30th anniversary
Also Victory has some really fitting songs for either the goalhorn or the victory theme (Stand Up to the Victory or Winners Forever)

Kek this, have a tiny Eri be the model and a bunch of Aerials flying around like the Gund bits.
Any adjustments to be made to the Aerial model would have to hinge on her surviving the Roster poll along with being able to find models for Suletta/Mio that we could use. Should Aerial survive, we'll look into putting like a flying Eri or something to that effect behind or on the Aerial like how we had Aniki on Mazinger's head the past 2 cups.
Also all previous suggestions have been recorded.

The problem is since we're not a board who fills our roster with memes, we've kinda already filled it with the staples. Outside of I don't know, replacing Nineball with White Glint or something, not really sure what should be changed.

It's at this point I need to mention an oversight we had generating the poll. We had two Macross reps on the poll and, to adhere to our 1 rep per show rule, we should've made them their own question. We decided that that the simplest thing to do was base their results head-to-head. So, while YF-19 had the votes needed to secure a place on the team, he was outvoted by SDF-1 Macross. As such Dann of Thursday and Optimus Primal, who were tied on votes, receive the final 2 slots.
As for the remaining slots:

As for the final question regarding Gridman. A model does exist for Universe Fighter. However, it is locked behind a paywall. We'll be exploring another avenue with Gridman's aesthetics.

The other races were a landslide. the RX-78 ran away with 20 votes (Maybe tab him for a future permanent player vote?) While Strike Freedom edged out the Destroyed Destiny Gundam.
Megazord, Rider 1, and Ultraman all blew out their races. I think the lowest, in terms of votes, was Ultraman and he still commanded 60% of all votes on that question

Nice to see Iron Giant returning, although I'm a bit bummed about Aerial or Dilanza not making it. Oh well, the people have spoken, and the results are final. Strike Freedom is also probably more appropriate now that the movie was announced
