I think showing Blitzo so down in the dumps, along with Loona being objectively mogged in every aspect in terms of looks, status, physically and mentally by Beelzebub(and even after all of that she was still pulling for her because Tex obviously knows just how much of a loser Loona is and told her in advance) holds some narrative weight. And it was a follow up to Ozzies, so while I agree it was shallow I can hold my nose.
Also she is Bael which means one of the most interesting looking Ars Goetia is actually just this fox girl. Disappointing.

Thinking back on it, the Circus does seem like the tipping point, but for me, it started to crack when they replaced Millie's voice actress. She went from a cute voice with a touch of Southern to HOWDY YALL LETS TALK ABOUT TEXAS. YEE HAW PARDNER.

Have IMP need to make a hasty retreat, sit in shock back at their base and wait with bated breath to see if Heaven will pursue them back in Hell. The fear that they might would be enough to even rattle Blitzo, because he fricked up and bit off more than he could chew.
They probably wouldn't need to show the scene of Loopty coming back to see if they got Lyle. I feel like the gravitas of ending on that cold note of IMP realizing what they just went up against would be suffice enough.
That kind of dread hits hard especially when you have Blitzo as prideful as he is, realize that sometimes he just isn't going to win all the time. Just because he wants something, and strives for it, it doesn't mean it'll always work out.

I think Blitzo had to be the person to make her feel like she was liked, at the party. He's the sole reason she didn't leave.

Well, number one, they could have adressed the fact that Vortex and Bee couldn't see that Loona was uncomfortable. It would have made more sense if Loona had gotten upset with Bee because bee didn't see that Loona was feeling left out.
Loona was clearly a nervous wreck, which is okay. I actually like that. I'd have her cry after getting bullied by the b***hy poodle, tell vortex she's leaving, having blitzo show up and then have loona wait a moment while he talks to an old friend, and then they invite Loona back out to hang, with blitzo.
Blitzo should have pushed her to put herself out there, it would have been a kino daughter-dad bonding moment if he taught her how to have the courage to howl like the other hounds.
Then they could have introduced bee, with the song, and had vortex introduce them, and then see Loona get upset with bee, because she's intimidated by bee having her love intrest, and being so upfront.
Cue loona walking away, upset, and having bee follow her and talk to her, sorting things out and giving Loona a little bit of reassurance.
Of course, Loona is still going to resent her a little, but it helped. Then, blitzo FAILS to outdrink bee, and passes out. Loona takes him home, and in the car, as he's puking, he's mumbling about how he wants to be a good father to her, and begging her to tell him how to be a good father to her, because he doesn't want to end up alone.
And Loona should crack a, 'no hugging' joke, so that way the ball-kicking in seeing-stars makes sense.
Just some thoughts.

I’ve gotten the information secondhand as it was apparently in a Q&A, but I think it was physically can’t; also another Q&A said that a lot of the infrastructure in Pride or Hell in general was made from the souls of Sinners killed in purges, which if that’s true creates the implication that Hell needs Sinners and the Purges to continue growing, which also creates the implication that Charlie will and must fail.
That's moronic. They could've made it so Sinners can leave the Pride circle, but they don't for two reasons: 1. Lucifer is a dick who hates humans (no matter if they are mortal or sinner) and 2. Pride is the sole sin that keeps the Sinners from redeeming themselves or at least trying to. It's not for nothing that Pride is considered the worst of all sins.
But instead it's author fiat with poor reasoning.

1. It makes it much easier for the angels to purge people and shit if they are concentrated in one ring.

3. Pride is at the root of all sins in many types of philosophy. So it could be blamed for all manner of mortal failings, regardless of the nature.
Also of course Lucifer's own sin was Pride(rebelling against God because he wanted to usurp his place), so it makes sense he is based there.

I was thinking on the Bee and Bub kind of deal as well. But in that case it would be Queen Bee who sometimes spews out a tongue at the end of which is a Fly named Linzi (or Flinzi) and the fly spews out a tongue with a butterfly named Bub (Bub the Butt because comedy is dead). Each one representing different kind of Gluttony. Bee being more curious and gluttonous in more intellectual way, the fly being more physical about sex and food and butterfly being more emotional and starving for affection, cute things and drugs that get her emotionally high. And depending on how starved certain body is to their personal gluttony this one eats the other bodies and becomes the primary one. This would nicely fit with theme of Gluttony I think. Give us 3 bug wives in one AND tie in with Cerberus with tongues being like leashes for those bodies.

Why do the angels have horns? It would make more sense if they were masks/helmets meant to mock Hell’s denizens. This may be my schizo talking but it could be that the exterminators aren’t really angels, but the fallen angels that sided with Lucifer against God, their angelic weapons being remnants of that time. Would God allow Adam and Eve into Heaven after disobeying him in Eden? Would Lucifer and Lilith not see it as an ironic punishment that Adam must lead the yearly extermination of his wayward descendants? So much more one could do than “Heaven is actually evil and Adam is sexist”.
