It's edgy in the sense that it would scandalize your 90 year old grandma but it has absolutely nothing on it that would scandalize a 15 year old teenager.
It is very interesting how political correctness works among certain social groups. Some people have no issue with hell, eternal suffering, wanton murder or any other violent crimes. But the second a character utters the word "homosexual" or "moron", then it's too much. I suppose there may be an argument to make about fictional murder vs actual utterances of a word. But I imagine that same public would be similarly queasy about fictional rape or deadnaming.
I read the prequel comics to Hazbin Hotel and in Angel Dust's comic, he gets into an altercation with a mafia shark demon, who is about to call him a homosexual but gets stopped mid sentence by Angel Dust holding a gun to his head and saying "you wanna finish that word?". In Alastor's comic, we see casual cannibalism, and later on Alastor saves a lamb demoness from getting raped.

The Bible describes frick all. Details about heaven and hell in canon are pretty vague, which is why most people go off on old people's interpretations(basically fanfic, like Dante's Inferno). Not even the 7 deadly sins are truly in scripture, Pope Gregory made that stuff.
I dont know about heaven in the divine comedy (honestly who reads that part cmon), but Dante takes some inspiration from Islamic scripture for hell because it goes into more detail, so maybe he took some ideas for heaven.
