The real question is why the computer decided to mix their DNA instead of teleporting them separately.
Also I like to think even if the fly was not present, the teleportation itself would result in incurable cancers.
>The real question is why the computer decided to mix their DNA instead of teleporting them separately.
The scene with the steak. Seth decided to make the machine try to understand the flesh, and in doing so he overlooked that the machine couldn't understand different creatures. It probably saw the two separate organisms as it was teleporting them and assumed it made a mistake
They could have spun a cartoon out of the sequel premise and have his son transform into a fly creature to fight Bartoc industries sending telepod monsters after him each weak.
If he'd been combined with a blood sucking insect like a mosquito or flea it would have been much better. Way more horror potential there, what a missed opportunity.
Seth Brundle is my literally me character
You're a metaphor for AIDS?
Ew, fricking homosexual.
If the computer was programmed for teleportation and decided to fuse two beings into one, why didn't Seth try to reverse this process?!
Take food coloring and drop some into water and mix it, now try to unmix it
>Food analogy
Okay, and?
The machine could only output one whole object. It couln't do a separation.

I'd have watched it as a kid. Martyfly was pretty based.
>Martyfly
Brundlefly, zoomer.
That was his dad. Martinfly is what the creature in 2 is called.
Too horrifying for kids, then again the 90's godzilla, med in black and evolution cartoons had some pretty messed up shit in them
There was the guy in TMNT that was a straight ripoff of The Fly too. He had an Uzi in the arcade game.
Easily would have worked or been acceptable in the 80s/90s.
Original was better.
>colorized version
........have some respect for yourself
Well yeah, it has Vincent Price.
when they invent crude teleportation like this you know there is going to be a tiktok craze right?
Is that cut footage? The version I remember wasn't nearly that gory.
I don't think it's cut no. Did you watch maybe a censored TV version?
For me it's when his eyes drip out and the little extra arms come out of his torso. So fricking gross.

Maybe a centipede or some shit
Mansquito (2005) is that horror movie.
