Honestly, I've always thought frost's art has be hit or miss when it comes to that department (those two comics are the exception). But I've always been a stickler when it comes to anatomy, so whenever he tries to draw humanoids it ends up all wonky. He from what he's said, shane's probably vaguely aware of what makes a person attractive in *that* way.
I call bull, he clearly has a thing for fat chicks and short girls.

I know its an acquired taste but his art has actually grown on me quite a bit. It makes more sense once you go back and look at his older art and can see what exactly he's going for. It dosen't translate great for drawing humans but I think it does a good enough job at getting his message across. His stuff is just all around pleasant.

On the contrary, I wouldn't call his art shit. His past work actually looks great. Simple, but not crude. I just don't care for it when he attempts to make porn with it is all. I'd rather redraw parts of what I like from his comics for fap material, instead (no offense to him).

Might be the reason why stuff like this and on some level teraurge, is so popular on this part of the internet. The truly lonely aren't picky about the faults of their next fix. I think frost has a decent sense of humor and a nack for dialogue, I just wish he'd experiment more with his type of male leads, both design and character wise. They all sort of blend together after a couple of reads.

I think his protagonists are different enough, at least for a short romance comic, but I see where you're coming from. Looking at his work I think shane is one of those creatives who get a lot of ideas but have to get them on paper asap. I think he needs a set end goal to work with and big open ended stories with lots of moving parts are his kryptonite. He can put out a lot of comics in a shirt amount of time which is great but his bigger projects all end up on hiatus as he jumps to the next idea .

Funny enough, I like that about him. I like nice, short, and easily digestible stories. And I think the way he writes his character work just fine for that, great in some cases, too. But I get what you saying, Frost might be more inclined to fly by the seat of his pants. So the characters might not get as fleshed out or worked on conceptionally compared to longer planned or written works. I just think when they've gotten so used to working such a fixed framework, you'd wonder why frost doesn't try to experiment more.

I like it too. As for him experimenting I think he definitely does its just more subtle sometimes. A lot of his work seems to be iterative. With him seemingly holding onto and trying out the same themes, designs, etc untill he's happy. The most notable examples of this would be his "broken bunny" comics, but it can be seen in a lot of his stuff. Then you have his bigger projects like his stuff with irpo, that unfortunately all seem to go on hiatus. Probably the most notable thing are his VN projects though. He has a few small ones iirc but he was working with someone on a bigger project but it unfortunately seems to have not worked out.

I agree with you on frost being iterative and that in of itself isn't bad. Take dragon ball for example, it kept getting nicely rewritten tornament arcs early in the series and basically kept rewriting the same villian since king piccolo to varying success, too. And slowly but surely, frost is changing up the personalities of his leads (though the women suffer from this far less, which makes me question choice in having more boring men). Eventually, even he too will realize he's done all he can with his current formula. Should he do that in the future, things might be more interesting for some readers. But otherwise, unless he's cooking up some different stuff in his VN's, I'll be looking out for something new to develop.
