He invented miles morales. Yeah it's true.
An oversimplifcation, but he absolutely has a BBC fetish. His self insert is a bald black dude. His kids are black, and he claims he cried for joy when he saw his raceswapped spider man costumes in stores.
and several others.
The frick is a groid?
No, Lord and Miller did, with help from Insomniac.

Benis 😀
Bendis is a homosexual.
Yeah. He writes comic books.
He singlehandedly destroyed Super Sons and the Superman IP as a whole. DC went truly to shit shortly after signing him to a longterm contract.
>singlehandedly destroyed Superman
We're talking about Bendis here, Anon, not Zack Snyder.
Yeah I was actually buying Superman Rebirth for a little while, never bought an ongoing, I like Rebirth Superman and Super Sons... Then Bendis came and I fricking dropped it. I dropped reading comics altogether for years, just now starting to get back into it...
RAGAR ZOL needs to be retconned as a giant lying pyschopath and everything Bendis did needs to be undone.
>What makes a man become like this
Early life: Brian Michael Bendis was born on August 18, 1967, in Cleveland, Ohio to a israeli-American family. Bendis grew up in University Heights where, despite rebelling against a religious upbringing, he attended the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland, a private, modern Orthodox religious school for boys.
>modern Orthodox religious school for boys.
religious schools. Not even once.
>Jefferson Davis name thing
Can someone explain this?
I don't know but I imagine the story is that Miles is half Cuban/Puerto Rican/some sort of hispanic for diversity points and the most obvious way to do that is make his last name reflect that
But because Bendis has a BBC fetish he couldn't stand the idea of a hispanic man and black woman so he made a contrivance to excuse the reason for Miles using his mom's name
The president of the Confederacy was named Jefferson Davis. A good man.
I think you mean crossdressing coward
You didn't explain at all how that has to do with Miles Morales' name.
His dad is black and mom is latina. Logically it should be Miles Davis not Miles Morales. It's been awhile since I read Ultimate Spider-Man but I think his dad was in witness protection for working with SHIELD or something. I don't know, it was a contrived ass reason.
Which begs the question of why not have his dad be latino and his mom be black but that would be logical and we know where bendis stands on common sense.
Because Bendis has a fetish for black men
I'm not someone who accuses every interracial couple in media of being there for fetish reasons, but the more I learn about Bendis, the more it seems undeniable in his case.
I'd say it would depend on the story being portrayed and the year it is made.
>Peter and Wolverine switched bodies
>Wolverine tried to frick teen MJ
You know what, I'll give it to him, that only makes sense. I might be bothered if he had succeeded, but Logan trying to frick a redhead is in character.
It was in the Ultimate universe, mind so she's very much illegal.
Ultimate Logan was a scumbag. Infiltrated the X-Men on Magneto's orders with intent to betray them later on, fricked Jean, got addicted to that pussy and decided he didn't want to betray them after all, and then left Scott for dead later on so he could have Jean to himself.
Based Bendis.
I’m just disappointed he didn’t have Logan in Peter’s body bang teen MJ.

I hate the current state of this site.
Suck it and seethe, 'tard.
been this shit for half the sites lifetime by now I reckon.
Has any one single writer done more damage to comics as a concept than Bendis?
Mags Vassaggio, Tini Howard, Stephanie Phillips and Vita Ayala. Jason Aaron is pretty garbage too, as well as that pedo weirdo who wrote The Unstoppable Wasp and the Gwenpool LGBTQ Pride month issue
Jason Aaron is the only one close and even then it’s not particularly close.
I'll say this again, Aaron should be kept away from capeshit at all costs, especially the big books. He was decent when it comes to stuff like crime comics, it's when he gets his hands on capeshit he goes full moron and keeps trying to retcon shit.
At least give him some street level F-lister like Foolkiller so he couldn't do much damage.
>pedo weirdo who wrote The Unstoppable Wasp and the Gwenpool LGBTQ Pride month issue
wait what?
He’s talking about writer Jeremy Whitley who made Nadia Van Dyne asexual and made Gwenpool asexual.
we get it you hate women
>Jason Aaron is pretty garbage too
Jason Aaron is worse than garbage, he's an intentional and highly powerful troll. You think he wasn't laughing his ass off when he wrote that "woman-thor" page? Or "bobby ur gayet?"
>Or "bobby ur gayet?"
Bendis wrote that. Aaron wrote Bobby as heterosexual and had him date Kitty after she broke up with Colossus and that made Bendis seethe so much that he made Bobby gay. Those two don't like each other at all, there's rumblings that Battle of the Atom was a total shitshow behind the scenes. Bendis did get to retcon it the way he wanted to after Aaron left the x-books.
>Those two don't like each other at all
sorta off topic but a lil relevant
…based Hickman?
>>
I have to agree with Bendis on this one. Frick pussyCat Beast.
But I wouldn’t cry like a b***h about it.
They're both wrong, morons.
Chuck Austen?
Civil War, Deathmate, and Flashpoint all did more damage in the long run.
Most of the damage that he did to Marvel has healed (you can't blame him for Miles being in 616, that one's on Hickman). DC on the other hand... Well, Superman's trying to heal.
They can heal but there's gonna be some pretty deep scars. We had to put up with garbage for a VERY long time because of him.
True, but the scares of Bendis are nothing compared to Flashpoint directly causing the New 52. That fricked over all of DC for over a decade.
It's not even just the stories themselves. How do you just undo DECADES of bad comics. Like I've been in and out before but this time was just... too much too roll back.
There's multiple factors.
1. Nobody is allowed to edit their own comics anymore, period. And they can't go over and have their buddies "edit" them for them. It's a huge part of the problem.
2. official editorial ranks need purged and replaced. We live in an era where for decades editors don't do their jobs and just let whatever writer sucks their dick the best do whatever they want so long as it doesn't get in the way of their own headcanon and recreating their own fanfiction at the cost of everything else.
3. Institute a policy of no decompressed storytelling and bring back the old marvel rule of "no matter what happens, every issue should have a problem be resolved." You can still obviously do long running plots, but just having Spider-Man think about whatever the big plot is while stopping a bank robbery can do a lot for pacing and will help solve the "Constant fricking apocalypse" problem as well as help to rejuvenate rogue's galleries organically.
4. Longer runs. barring an exception or an emergency, no more 12 issues a year runs where one guy only writes like 6 of them. Switch back to weekly releases, hold people to deadlines, and aim for 30 issue ruins minimum. You still get long runs but they're rare as shit and short fragmentary runs only help create problems.
5.Finally once you've done this, and built up good habits again? Focus test and learn what fans genuinely want, and then do a hard reboot. None of this soft shit, keep only a short collection of what are considered absolutely key stories, like 4 at most, per big name character, and then reboot. Do issues that retell those key stories as annuals or some such, but a genuine fresh start, no bullshit, no universal holdouts or survivors or any of that shit. Jim Shooter was right when he said that if you're going to pull the plug you better fricking pull the goddamn plug and not half ass it.
While we're at it get your cosmology sorted out early and keep it sorted. Fricking christ.
This is a big one, especially with the decompression factor. I swear we'll get a new "run" but it will be 12 decompressed issues of people telling their team set up story before the team is broken up for the next writer shake up. You need to get your premise going in ONE issue. Let it be extra sized if you need to but your entire run can't just be set up.
Well I meant less in the form of reshaping the stories and status quo to be good again. That's easy enough with some focus. I just mean in general of winning back the fans that you phased out. Skipping out for a year or two till stuff gets straightened out doesn't leave you with much of a vacuum, even 5 years is an easy bridge to gap. But think about it. Comics haven't just been shit for a phase. There's an entire generation gap between when he shat things up and to when things will get better. And I just don't mean playing catch up with pertinent information and details. I mean the entire face, tone and style. Going back into a comic store almost feels like when someone's dad goes into a record store again.
We're not just out of phase with the material but the brand itself is almost unrecognizable.
>1. Nobody is allowed to edit their own comics anymore, period. And they can't go over and have their buddies "edit" them for them. It's a huge part of the problem.
This is a good thing. It's worth having a second eye on your work to make sure you're not making some dumb mistake or doing anything too stupid with the characters. Marvel in the 70s suffered from having too many writer-editors on their books doing whatever they wanted.
It's only bad when your Point 2 is true, which, of course, it is these days.
His point is that a second set of eyes is needed as well as a person in charge of making sure continuity lines up but it doesn't work if you're just gonna have your buddy who agrees with you do it.
Anon you're literally saying the same thing the anon you're responding to is. Reading comprehension, you ESL fricker.
This makes me wonder how much of a run if any is planned. If they wanted to go weekly you'd think the easiest way is to give someone 12 issues or another arbitrary number, where they have to know their start middle and end to give to the next person so they can start working as it runs.
>It's not even just the stories themselves. How do you just undo DECADES of bad comics.
It's not that hard. But it would require a lot of work and time that I don't think the current people in charge can pull off
Honestly, it can't be done, because there's no real incentive to take the major steps required. Even if speciality shops finally collapsed, would there be much motivation to reform? WB and Disney will provide a lifeline because the floppies are a loss leader that could randomly develop a billion dollar movie concept. So, the most likely outcomes would seem to be "persistence as an ever more niche thing" and "terminal collapse."
Snyder and Johns ultimately fricked up the DCU worse.
The fricking clip art mandala of the DC multiverse will just never not be an eyeroll for me. Also, Death Metal was moronic.
Superman and action are dog shit and have been since 2018 when he arrived. Now we have Jason Aaron coming to do a few arcs.
Frick off. I hope Paul kaminski jumps in front of a speeding bus.
Don't forget Tom Taylor, that shit stain just rubbed salt in the wounds that Bendis left on Supes.
>Superman and action are dog shit
Tell me you haven't been reading Superman and Action since Bendis's departure without telling me etc etc
Flashpoint didn't just do damage in comics it fricking damaged other areas outside of it
>DC Animated movies
They did Flashpoint, and then did yet another Flashpoint after doing a massive killfest to show you wasted your time watched the Flashpoint era animated films
>The Flash film
WB kept getting so fixated on this that they planned to use it to get rid of the Snyderverse and replace Superman with Supergirl, and Affleck with Keaton. It ended up being a flop even with Gunn advising on the new ending.
It's too early to tell if that Suicide Squad game will do well or not, but if it doesn't we can throw that in this pile
At least the DCAMU (or Flashpoint animated movieverse) is dead now, so we're finally getting a more diverse array of animation projects from DC again. God that era was awful. It felt like it had what, 3 good movies out of a zillion
The DCEU on the other hand should just be scrapped. People have been telling them to do it for years, considering that their standalone Elseworlds movies like Joker were anytime more successful that any cursed Snyder shitfest
I can't believe I'm defending Geoff Johns, but Flashpoint was just meant to be a silly theme month thing. It was Dan DiDio who made it into a continuity destroying shitshow because he was trying to avoid DC being shut down by WB. Without DiDio, we'd simply remember Flashpoint as a dumb minor storyline along the lines of that one theme month where everyone's villains got Jokerized.
It's strange how a concerningly high percentage of everything that went wrong at DC in the past 15 years can be traced back to Didio
Chip Zdarsky.
you've been on an autistic crusade the entire day
go to sleep
Alan Moore, though unintentionally
Alan Moore at least put out quality work. I have no idea how Bendis ever got popular.
His dialogue and storytelling was novel during the 00s, same reason everyone went nuts over King when he first started writing comics until they realized that he could only tell One Story with his One Voice, same as Bendis.
They weren't though. He was always a lesser Joss Whedon.
Whedon is a glib quipper, Bendis stole from Sorkin. And both were tv, not comic guys. It was never-before-done in comics.
Not in the way most people think.
It wasn't that hacks following him upped the gore and sex, though there was that. Moore's comics were so good, they grabbed the attention of people that would be otherwise uninterested in comics, especially superhero comics. Neil Gaiman had abandoned comics until he read Swamp Thing, Grant Morrison jumped with both feet into superheroes after reading Marvelman, and people like Mark Millar and Bendis were attracted to the medium even if they did things differently. Tom King has been making a name for himself, winning awards and such, by wholesale copying Moore's approach to structure and severity.
It's not Moore's fault at all, but I get why he feels regret.
Stan Lee
Sending Bendis to DC was one of the greatest acts of corporate sabotage that Marvel has ever done.
Yeah.
No bullshit, all memes and shitposting off, he legitimately has a fetish for cuckoldry and young black men and BBC. it's a well known thing in the industry and he tries to sneak them in roundabout ways into a lot of his work whenever he can get away with it, even if it's often just a technicality that's still close enough to get his motor revving.
He's awful.
At least DC kept him from doing that shit in Superman
He just found other ways to cuck Clark and his family
>At least DC kept him from doing that shit in Superman
Didn't he have Steel hook up with Lanna, or was that before him?
Different comic
That was 6 years before by Greg Pak.

Did Icelandic vikings support homosexual sex? I know their norse myths are full of cross dressing homosexual Gods.
I don’t know of any evidence of it but Iceland was literally the exile colony of renegades and outcasts from the other northern kingdoms. Also, it’s pretty much empty even today. If you and Snorri Egillson want to stay warm in the same hot spring, have a little mead, and see what happens, who’s going to know except the sheep?
Fugg
And i was not dissapointed XDDDD
no that's Superman. The greatest Superhero in comics
>Here from Cinemaphile
>groid?
you have to go back.
Didn't this guy "slap a jap" ten years before this?
isn't that because we threw them all in concentration camps?
Why didn’t DC play to Bendis’s strengths and have him write Green Arrow or the Question?
Let me guess, he wanted work on an already popular franchise to leave his mark and felt Green Arrow was beneath him.
he didn't get 500k to write fricking green arrow, anon
Fricking egos.
Always the downfall of man.
They weren't going to sign him to a massive contract and put him on a B-List title, Anon.
They should have.
Bendis would have written better and the secondary title would have increase sales at least.
I swear if I were an actual boss at DC, I’d do a better job than most of these real dodos
Bendis would've found a way to ruin GA somehow
The most fundamentally woke DC book from the getgo, and he'll still somehow find a way to make it worse, like killing Dinah off and replacing her with some clone that identifies as a troon for example, trust me
Marvel signed Hickman to an exclusive contract, put him on Ultimates and then pulled him off the title because he was even finished with his story because they were disappointed with the numbers he was getting. If they're paying someone a lot of money, they want a lot of return. As is, DC was incredibly disappointed with Bends's sales on their A-list titles, it would have been even worse for their B-listers.
>Here from Cinemaphile.

Bendis and Zack Snyder killed the Superman IP
>Look, Smithers. Garbage is coming!

>his one and only question is about BBC
kek
Bendis has an unhealthy race fetish, but they've already done a black superKANG who was superior to Clark and loved by everyone more than him because Clark became an evil dictator.
Ironically Bendis never wrote Calvin Ellis or Val Zod. Or even Steel.
Why did they choose a pose that makes the edge if his cape look like an erect benis in the silhouette
