Yes. Miller is still stuck in the metoo phase, and got the wrong memo with Fury Road's success.

the cgi is poor, yes, but last time we were baffled by the editing of this movie it turned out to be that the trailer footage had been clipped up to fit a music beat

      Anonymous

It literally has like 60-90 seconds cut out of it. In this movie from about :14 she shoots 4-5 guys, and then :18 happens. I have no idea who "greenlit" all these clips, seems like an awful marketing strategy, the cgi looks so much worse than it did in the cinema and it gives away too much. Plus the film has an 89 critic score 98 audience score so it's obviously a good film so I don't think it needs all these clips to try to fill seats.

I was feeling like the renders the Indians are putting out don't even look like software that's meant for movies, how each shot looks bad in the same way that's kind of familiar - I was thinking architectural visualization software but then I realized Unreal Engine does archviz and I realized that they literally have used Unreal Engine.

Looking into this it frickin is right there in his admission except he claims it's only pre-vis.
      >At a recent Q&A for a Los Angeles screening of the film, Miller said new technology changed his approach. According to the director, the most important new element was an Unreal Engine-driven pre-vis program called PROXi, created by Fury Road stunt supervisors Guy and Harrison Norris, which let him prep and storyboard all of his dangerous stunt scenes in an entirely digital format.

Looking at someone saying they use unreal engine for pre-vis, and looking at the final film and seeing distinct characteristics of that engine's look... I feel like when they tried to tell me the corona biolab being in wuhan just unfortunate coincidence
