Watch the first season. I honestly don't think the rest is needed.
I never watched the reboot.
So the first season is self-sufficient?
It doesn't end on a cliffhanger, right?
its open ended but sufficient enough so that you can "close the book" if you choose.
The plot ends, but it's on a note that leaves it open to more. I think it works fine by itself.
The later seasons became worse and worse as they kept fumbling with the characters and plot. Instead of introducing new characters, which was the plan iirc, they kept reusing the old ones. But they had to keep changing up shit, so it ended up with this messy "oh, this guy is evil now, this girl is good now, there's a new ultimate threat we need to deal with, no you can't use your powers to solve the plot in 10 seconds because of reasons..."
no cliffhanger plotwise but the story itself isnt over, like a full arc is over but everyones mostly still around. I'd still watch the whole thing tbh, the later seasons are crap but its still better than whats on.
Based.
I rewatched the first season a few months ago and enjoyed it immensely. It really is special. It's really crafted on a much higher level than the rest of the seasons.
For me, it's how they set up all the mysteries and how it all comes together. Especially Sylar, Linderman and the bomb. It's never really obvious how or if it's going to happen. Honestly just a really well written and planned out season with very little filler.
I dislike it because shows like Heroes and LOST basically established a template for high concept mystery/adventure shows where a diverse cast simply bumbles around for a whole season until they finally all link up and do the thing that leads into next season.
You have to endure various plot contrivances to simply delay the finale and characters have to act stupid or just obstruct plot progress for no reason than to drag things out. And also random characters needs to be temporarily paired up with other random characters for an episode or two just to chew scenery.
I watched the first season and liked it, and was hoping it would keep being good. But it got so poor, so fast. I wouldn't have the patience for it today.
The first season heavily features a white woman who works as a camgirl with a mixed race child.
Maybe you can blame the writer's strike .. but the second season starts with the time travel dude going to the future again and "oh boy something is wrong" and then shows some spanish lady running from border control.
the first season. the rest never happened
Reminder that Peter left his OIRISH gf in a timeline that no longer exists.
And he never mentioned her after that episode again.
I rewatch the first season every 2-3 years and I honestly just enjoy it more every time. Call me a boomer all you want, but they just don't make shows like this anymore.
In hindsight it's a bit surreal that the actress married that russian boxer grug giant who probably tore her up to the point where she was on painkillers and drugs the entire time. He actually had to leave her because she was a drug addict at that point. Also she had fake breasts installed to make her even more of a sex toy irl.
Just bizarre.
Season one and two at least
>Series is called Heroes
>Character is called Hiro
It's one of those shows inspired by LOST where you're constantly frustrated at how moronic people are, how every single decision they make is stupid and entire seasons pass without them doing something obvious.
The powers are wasted/underutilized or characters simply gain/lose them as the plot requires so things grind to a halt.
It's a show made by midwits for midwits.
sounds like my kinda show
Season 1 is fricking great. But they went all over the place with their powers, specially the Peter Petrelli, Sylar and Hiro and together with the strike, the show got ruined. But yeah, watch the first season.
I vaguely remember season 4 or whatever being in a circus
a circus
jfc
I don't remember much of it but I always laugh thinking about how moronic some scenes in season 2 were
>nuke guy has explosion powers
>"Hey dude, do an emp blast! Just think bright not hot!"
This show was tailor made for people who watched G4.
that was in season 1
his power was radiation, not explosion
he'd never attempted to control them or find their limits, and is advised by a glowie who has experience with other superpowered people that had to learn their limits
heroes is utter trash but that particular thing you took umbrage with was completely fine
>erm ackshully
Get a life nerd
You need to be 18 or older to post here
>heroes is utter trash
Get a load of this homosexual.
Heroes is not trash
What were Hiro's friend's powers again?
He could charge up people's powers, but also just shoot people?
Watch Misfits instead
Apparently the writer's strike is a big reason why the seasons after the first have no bones
That's the easy excuse, but the show was fricked with or without the strike. They simply did not have any idea what to do with the characters. Season 2 started before the strike and it was just painfully boring from the beginning.
This. I remember this excuse getting thrown around during S2 but it was clear that the entirety of S1 was just a buildup and the finale was underwhelming and then the next season was just everyone fricking around with no clear purpose overall.
The show never recovered after the disaster of S1 finale. It was very lame and underwhelming.
