Murder Dindu of course. It's not only wrong, it's moronic. It's like killing a very popular president loved by people and supported by the parliament. If he succeeded the senators afraid of Jedi influence would probably exterminate them themselves.

Considering what Palpatine would go on to do, he was 100% correct about him, and Anakin was an idiot for not helping out Mace Windu and obeying the orders of then-Chancellor Palpatine.

Sith had got powerful before and their first goal is wiping out the Jedi Order. Kill Palpatine deal with the political consequences afterwards; it couldn't have been worse than what they ended up with
Anakin only hesitated or told Windu off because of the stopping death promises that Palpatine fed him. He clearly had no moral qualms about it as he did the same to Dooku.

Except he also saw Windu about to strike down an unarmed man who was supposedly but not really helpless. He was witnessing the bastard, who is revered as one the greatest masters ever, about to flout the jedi code. The same man who constantly chided him and who Anakin believes to have held him back in the Jedi Order. Anakin saw what he believed to be hypocrisy which allowed him to give himself to the Dark Side and save Padme

Anakin murdered Dooku for the same reason. Right before Palpatine gaslit him previously he’d been on the verge of doing it to Palpatine as well.

The Jedi also didn't know that. He was a democratically elected leader. The Jedi Order wasn't elected by anyone. Here they acted like a military junta.

Pragmatically he was right but also a hypocrite. Obviously all the talk about the republic was bullshit if he was going to extra-judicially kill the chancelor.

A chancellor under false pretense. So he's just killing a Sith. The chancellor part is irrelevant.

Lightsaber colors in the previous canon used to be determined by the color of the crystal used in making them. Not sure what the official disney lore is anymore.

iirc he said on TFI Friday (90s talk show in UK) that he wanted to be in Star Wars. When George heard and invited him Jackson requested the sabre be purple.

      I think this is correct.

    Anakin for sure.
    >supreme chancellor is hanging onto his supreme powers by prolonging the war
    >meaning he actually is the senate and all the powers of the republic
    >anakin finds out he's a sith and has been playing both sides the whole time
    >reports it to windu
    >is shocked that windu went to kill palpatine
    >anakin's suggestion, regarding the man who was until ten seconds ago the sole political power in the senate, is that he needs to stand trial as if the senate can impeach him while he's still got all the power

    >"You are under arrest, my lord"
    two seconds later
    "Imma kill this cracker"
It's almost like Lucas suddenly needed Mace to kill Palpy so that Anakin could betray the Jedi.

Are you being obtuse on purpose?
He says Palpatine is under arrest AFTER he defeats him. Then when Anakin walks in he decides he wants to kill him, merely to provoke Anakin's betrayal.

Maybe it was because then he killed 3 jedi in 5 seconds and used force lightning

And? He already knew Palpatine was dangerous af by "killing 3 jedi in 5 seconds" and the whole Sith Lord thing. It was just a forced character shift to justify Anakin's heel-turn

Honestly, I feel like a guy going from “Sith with a good saber talent but can be brought down” to “shoots fricking lightning made of hate and rage and pure evil boner at whoever he wants” is a pretty good option for reevaluating the danger.

Palpatine is the only one who's wrong. Both Mace Windu and Anakin do not display wicked character in their motives and actions. Only Palpatine is so clearly a wicked human being. Both Mace Windu and Anakin are in fact doing the correct action based off what they know. Anakin KNOWS Padme will die so Palpatine is his only hope to save her. Mace KNOWS the wickedness of the sith and of the chancellor, and is doing the right thing in exterminating him. The absolutely moronic take is to simply say "Oh, the formalities of democracy means you can't kill him", absolutely missing the point of these formalities, which exist to simply lower the odds of a bad judgment. The process itself is just a means to justice. And justice is supposed to be swift. You know someone is an idiot if their best take is "no, its against democracy to kill him."

Anakin doesn’t know shit. It is continually drummed into the head of anybody and everybody who uses the Force to try and see ahead that the future is difficult to see and always in motion, constantly changing.

        Anonymous

He knows 'from his own point of view'. He is a very powerful force user AND his visions have come true before. In this universe force users CAN see the future. Also, it ends up coming true precisely how Anakin imagined it. He was in the right in believing Padme would die. If people could see into the future at all in reality, then we'd see precisely similar judgments.
