>Series with Steven Universe looking guy being a paid actor for japanese animation >in character they embody the stereotypical calarts protagonist >out of character he is the stereotypical western doompilled adult cartoon protagonist.
could work, maybe not exactly the same way as kappa mikey but i can see it
The concept is great, execution is so-so. Mikey is pretty much a normal person instead of a cartoon character so they don't take advantage of the art differences that much when it come to him.
Can't believe they made an anime parody before anime actually caught on. Or maybe I was just too young to be aware it had caught on. Weren't we still in the days of 4kids dubs at the time?
such a fun show, but my god is it dated (and thats why i love it). i wouldn't mind seeing a revival of it though
No you wouldn't Anon.
Because It wouldn't look like that.
Mikey would be a bean faced calarts
>Series with Steven Universe looking guy being a paid actor for japanese animation

>Mikey is a cuck that lets big blue guy frick the other two girls in front of him
>Bad guy is basically Rick
>bean faced calarts
Like this?
>calarts meets moeshit
yeah okay I'd watch it
Honestly that doesn't seem too bad.
What are the chances of a reboot?
bump
Not completely low, the creator brought the series back from Nick about a year or two ago and was attempting to get a pitch off the ground
>about a year or two ago
>still nothing
so 0 chance
>You are shorter than the average girl
>You go up to their chest level
>Some girls actually likes you
Succeeding or Suffering?
man this show was shitty
filtered
The episode where the boss' idea of a vacation is to just frick around in the airport stuck with me as funny.
The intro to Kappa Mikey is still stuck in my head!
You mean this one?
pure soul
KINO MIKEY
>mikey saw that mitsuki was best girl all along
Instantly blows out a frick ton of anime
Did Nick lose the rights to the show or something? Surprised it hasn't been rebooted yet.
Nick only milks successful series, like SpongeBob, Avatar, FOP, and the Loud House.
I don't think Nick ever had the rights to it. It was a Nicktoons Network original, apparently that's something different.
>same band
>inverted premises songs, going from a japanese band making it big in america to and animerican making it big in japan
Was this on purpose? Because if so that's a deep fricking cut.
I love lily. I get commissions of her all the time.
was the concept shit or was the execution shit
execution was shit because of its budget
You can't showcase different animation styles when you don't have the time or money to do it
You think it might have turned out better if it succeeded in being an MTV show like planned, or would it still be trash?
I don't think MTV would've paid for a higher budget.
the mtv pilot looked like a fricking newgrounds animation
Neither, it was kino
The concept is great, execution is so-so. Mikey is pretty much a normal person instead of a cartoon character so they don't take advantage of the art differences that much when it come to him.
I don't watch Super Sentai shows a lot, does it actually make fun of them in the show?
Did anyone in Japan ever heard of this, even on Futaba Channel?
Do they ever show the Japanese spelling for their names?
It's implied that the other anime actors and studios exist but the characters never show up and they never visit any other studio
HEY HEY LOOK LOOK
MIKEY HAS SHIT TASTE IN WOMEN
For me, it's Ozu and Yes Man. Talk about unf. And one of them's a DILF.
Can't believe they made an anime parody before anime actually caught on. Or maybe I was just too young to be aware it had caught on. Weren't we still in the days of 4kids dubs at the time?
Anime has been very popular for at least 25 years. It just wasn't trooned out and 'ironic-haha' everywhere like it is today
