From what I remember it was more like astral projection but replace astral with wolf. So you fall asleep then wake up in a second wolf body in the forest while your human body sleeps, and then when your wolf body sleeps your human one wakes up.

I love this movie so much, it's beautiful. It's a bit cringe so I can't show or talk about it with anyone, but transforming into a wolf and escaping civilization is an appealing fantasy to me.
It kind of reminds me when I would lurk DA when I was 14 and look at drawings of wolves and dragons.

Yeah, it's a good movie. The animation is fantastic and the character relations causes some good emotional moments that keeps the story interesting. And I just think wolves are cool.
It seems like modern human life is too separated from nature. Go to work, go to the store, go home. Being able to explore and survive outside like the animals do is something I like to fantasize about, through movies and videogames at least.
That's kind of the theme of the movie. "I already am in a cage."

Boy Robyn was a pretty early draft, we had the switch to girl when they were still in the character concept stages, before any kind of final script or breakdowns.
