His Return Was A Mistake (The Flash)

Came back from cinema. Dear God... they did Keaton so goddamn dirty in the Flash & his last scene is on the same level of bad as Talia's death in Nolan's Rises. He should've said no & kept his integrity in check. Will erase this crap from my memory & pretend that his tenure ended in 1992.

He had a Talia Al' Ghul cringe-worthy death, a CGI fight with a CGI 'big guy for you' Kryptonian & a stupider death before that. I ain't shilling shit, Spiderverse was mid at best but this is there is no excuses for the Flash. No one should support this piece of shit.

Warners convinced themselves that BvS and Justice League did less than they expected because Affleck "wasn't being our RDJ and hyping up the fans"
(and not, like, you know, the films being convoluted dogshit)
So seeing that Nostelgiawave was becoming a thing and clearly trying to copy the Spiderverse/No Way Home they brought him back
And then when they had ANOTHER one of their management shake ups they shitcanned the Batgirl movie they also put him in too

All that fake hype for a bunch of worthless, meaningless quip scenes with stuntmen doing most of the action (oh, look, it's just like Arkham/BvS warehouse moment!) & the story/character development amounting to zero. I am the biggest Keaton supporter but I couldn't give a shit about his non-performance in this flick (or the way they fricked him over & killed him for no good reason), he got his paycheck, phoned it in & called it a fricking day.

Say what you will about Burton, Schumacher & Snyder, they might be controversial, sure, but at least they had an auteur-like vision (you don't have to agree with that vision) but it was an artistic expression (even with execs & toy companies meddling with it).

The Flash has no vision, no truth, no purpose - it is as if it was made by an A.I., a living breathing algorithm with one sole purpose - to deceive viewers, fans, steal their wallets & keep performing similar crimes with other films of the DCEU franchise.

You know how they say that a piece of turd can be saved in editing & through montage (Marcia Lucas on Star Wars '77)... well, this ain't one of those cases. Not even the finest film editor can salvage this Hiroshima-esque 'event'.

Schumacher had God-tier visual aesthetics for his movies. I'm not gonna pretend Batman and Robin was good, but it's at least pleasing from a visual standpoint far as the backgrounds and sets are concerned.

Ab-so-fricking-lutely! The Flash under Mouskietti's 'direction' felt lifeless, dull, devoid of any good lighting, composition & visual style. All in service of CGI/DEEPFAKE coke-binge fest & a daylight PS2-game atmosphere that destroys little pieces of what's left of this 'flick''s so-called tone...

Pretty much on the 'unwatchable' spectrum. The Flash now shares the same fate (imagine sitting in your own room & watching the 'Yeah, I'm Batman' scene with no audience clapping or cheering... it's the Andrew Garfield effect all over again).

I have no intention of ever revisiting this capeshit nightmare in any shape or form, not even via short YouTube clips that usually pop up a few weeks after the digital release.

Fricked the whole game beyond repair. When the lights went down, my first thoughts were about what happened to the Westerns & the decline of that genre. It just lost all of its value & essence, there's no more morale or lesson to be learned from the story. Your childhood hero is a bum, a hopeless hobo & will die in the most moronic way possible & there's nothing you can do about it. The autistic revisionists like Rian Johnsons & Andy Muschietties of this ugly braindead world are the terminal cancer that killed capeshit for good with no chance for any remission.

Had to preserve this priceless message by a Cinemaphile anon for true chi-nema enthusiasts & those in the know because it's simultaneously the most accurate & fitting description of witnessing the Flash for the first time.

No (which is good, trust me - Grant Gustin dodged a bullet right there). Tbqh with you, no amount of fanservice, member berries or nostalgia (especially if it involves ‘restoring’ the corpses of deceased actors no longer with us through de-aging & deepfake) would be able to pull this garbage closer to the light. This WB propaganda of a product is pure Satanic shit, made & produced in the deepest pits of hell.

Why the actual frick is this slop the one Flash story everyone knows about? I fricking hate Flashpoint. I'll even go further and say that I hate the animated movie that Cinemaphile loves. Flashpoint is shit, period. I'm sick of it. Truly civil war of DC in terms of being a horribly overrated shitty story that even normies know about.

bc it reduces Flash to a dead-parent-obsessed frick-up who ruins things around him while attempting to do something good and at the end of the story we are expected to feel bad for him because an adult man ruined the universe because he missed his mommy.

Truly the most Marvel Comics Flash story possible.

Because it's the most memorable "big" story the Flash has ever been the central character in. And it's basically the only Flash story that's been as impactful as heavy hitters like The Dark Knight Returns. I'm not saying it's a GOOD story, but it IS basically the most significant Flash story ever written. Unfortunately.

It's a bit like how the most memorable thing Wonder Woman's ever done in the past 50 years is snap someone's neck. Fortunately, Superman stole that moment so the DCEU couldn't use it.
