Pretty good dark crime thriller, Caviezel is perfect for the "tough cop almost reaching his limit" role and there's tension building up throughout on how worse the case will get and if it can be resolved. I was expecting something a lot more wacky and sensational from how people on both sides are losing their minds about it but it's depressingly grounded which is what they were going for.
It's alright, which is way better than most of hollywood.
Its' like Bloodsport where it's based on some guy telling very tall tales. You know it's some guy's fantasies, but then again aren't all films? So just run with it. It was produced by Fox, not an indie studio. They sold it to Angel Studios because Disney wouldn't distribute it. They used the same marketing campaign as Passion Of The Christ, coupled with social media hate/political division marketing. What's interesting is that it WORKED for this film, while sinking turds like Ghostbusters etc.
