I don't think that Dunst will be in 4 regardless of who makes it...she sounds like she just got done smoking 3 packs of Marlboro 100's what she speaks, and she went on for years and years on some feminist tirade about how should have been paid as much as Tobey McGuire in the original trilogy. I think that that made her untouchable box office poison. That, combined with how she sounds like a 75 year old man when she speaks now makes her very unmarketable.
>I think that that made her untouchable box office poison.
She's literally one of the main characters in Civil War which is one of the biggest movies of the year. Shut the frick up. Also go watch All Good Things, that was a pretty good movie with her and Ryan Gosling.
>She's literally one of the main characters in Civil War
Cool. How's that movie doing, and how does she sound in it? Also, how's her particular brand of politics fairing in Blackrock/Vanguard/Larry Fink owned Hollywood nowadays?
Maguire wasn't in Civil War and No Way Home sucked.

>mfw I thought everyone was talking about Dunst being in Captain America: Civil War
>No Dunst
There isn't a single movie where she wasn't the worst choice for Peter. First movie he should have gotten with the Daily Bugle chick, in the second he should have gotten with the qt slav, and in the third with Gwen Stacy.
He should have gotten with Gwen Stacy first, that's the way it goes in the comics. Gwen is Peter's first girlfriend, then she dies, then he starts dating and later marries MJ.
The rumors seem to be from separate sources. I don't think either of them are particularly outlandish though considering Raimi already directed Strange 2, and Sweeney is very popular right now.
15 years ago this news would be good. Now though? I don’t think so. He didn’t get free rein on that dr strange movie. The movie would be focus group and business meeting orientated.
If it’s actually going to happen I hope it’s based on his ideas
For those who want to be part of this epic Cinemaphile forced meme there are three easy steps.
Step 1: This is considered the most important step. See what movie this epic Cinemaphile meme is being applied to today. Most of the time it's the older Sam Raimi Spiderman movies but since these threads die very fast the guys that force this apply it to other movies now. This thread however uses the Raimi Spiderman meme. Please pay attention.
Step 2: Take an iconic scene in the movie, any will do as long as people remember the scene. Greentext a quote from the scene and twist the words to use anti semitisim, racism, homophobia or any other edgy as frick topic. Go nuts, the sky is the limit! The more vulgar it is the more epic the meme is. This takes us to the final step.....
Step 3: Make a regular post, taking the position of a normal person and pretend to be disgusted by that scene. I know, I know, this is Cinemaphile, a site where gore flows like fine wine but that's what makes this meme edgy, wacky and zany. We pretend to be offended by that fake scene. Funny huh?
Now that you understand how to do this, have fun kids. Happy memeing!
I don't know about that, they still play it all the time on FX or something so I'm constantly reminded of how much better it is than basically any MCU movie. They also play The Fifth Element all the time, to remind me how bad Disney's Star Wars is in comparison.
Unironically, I blame Guardians of the Galaxy for ruining the MCU just a few months after Winter Soldier. It's not like these movies don't have to have jokes at all, but there was a time when they actually took the concept seriously and the movies were better as a result. Now everything just feels farcical.
Holy frick I am so sick of spiderman. Who fricking cares about this homie. Oh, he swings on webs and has like, Captain America strength or something. What a great fricking idea for a hero. No, he sucks. He's like a shit Batman. You know they are out of ideas when half his fricking movies revolve around that stupid goddamn multiverse. I liked Spiderman 1 through 3, because the actors/characters were likeable, the humor was wacky and fun (and not completely self-referential quippy slop yet), and the stories were generally nice and self contained, neat. Beyond that, I could not care less about this character and I do not understand the fascination with him. The dead horse has been throroughly beaten.
Superhero movies are for kids and Spiderman is the most relatable/likeable because he's a normal teenager trying to balance his school/home life with his responsibility to protect people. I'm usually one for letting franchises die but he's a good character for kids to look up to so as long as he's popular among them I don't see why they should stop retelling his story
He should be public domain though, all the really old comic book heroes embedded into pop culture should be
So what, Feige is just going to force him to make the movie his board wants him to make. The Doctor Strange movie was slop because of this, Raimi didn't have much input.
wowzers
No Maguire/Dunst, no watch
So you watched No Way Home and Civil War?
Maguire wasn't in civil war and No Way Home sucked.
Well then I guess Maguire being in something doesn't really matter then does it.
A limiting factor is not the same as a required action.

Isn't this the same rumor mill that said Sydney Sweeney will become Black Cat? Would be kino in both cases but I won't hold my breath

The studios are DESPERATE
OLD MEN
Tobey is the only spiderman that anybody cares about
Garfield absolutely mogs him, even with being in worse movies.
He's the obvious choice

There's no place for Sam Raimi's racism in our modern world
I would also smash someone through the wall with my robotic tentacles if he dared use the n-word in my presence.

>MCU
lmao frick off with that shit
It's already going to be utter dogshit
Maybe, but X-Men 97 has been a masterpiece. I worry that Marvel is getting their shit together.
Bi,[
Kino is back on the me-
>MCU
Nevermind it's going to be shit.
Kino incoming!
So this is what all the threads dickriding raimi's spidergay lately were about
I don't know about that, they still play it all the time on FX or something so I'm constantly reminded of how much better it is than basically any MCU movie. They also play The Fifth Element all the time, to remind me how bad Disney's Star Wars is in comparison.
Why don't they just make more movies like Winter Soldier? It was the pinnacle of American capekino.
Unironically, I blame Guardians of the Galaxy for ruining the MCU just a few months after Winter Soldier. Guardian started it and Thor Ragnarok was the final nail in the coffin

mcu spelled backwards is cum
By Spiderman 4 do they mean Tobey 4 or Holland 4?
Garfield 4 (NWH counts as Garfield 3)
So what, Feige is just going to force him to make the movie his board wants him to make. The Doctor Strange movie was slop because of this, Raimi didn't have much input.
Yes. Also, it says MCU Spiderman 4, that means the fourth Holland movie.
>Raimi and Holland
Cant think of a worse combo.
There is, Raimi and Feige.
Raimi hasn't made a good movie since Spiderman 2.
>S____m
Spiderman is so back bros
I despise cape shit but human holocaust Raimi gave it soul
