I know this has a fanbase so I won't say it doesn't work, but it didn't work for me. Trippy visuals and cool effects, I also like the atmosphere, but the actual movie is so excessively long and boring. I also don't get the ending, the villain is going to kill the girl then he trips and dies. Genuinely want to know why people think this is so good.
Also, watched ExistenZ last night and it's awesome
She's no longer under his mind control like she was in the facility, so she can easily use her telekinesis to throw him to the ground and break his neck.
Videodrome, Tommy (same director as Altered States), The Devils kind of (same director, not as trippy as Altered States but more of a fever pitch to it), Gothic (also same director, not nearly as good as altered states but very trippy, the plot is kind of nonsense and boring until the halfway point and doesn't get "good" until the last third), Valerie and Her Week of Wonders
>Any kinos in this vein?
Brainstorm, a 1983 American science fiction film directed by Douglas Trumbull, and starring Christopher Walken & Natalie Wood
Super kino
The caveman part of the movie is so stupid it completely kills the vibe of the movie for a bit. Especially when he like climbs up a pole or something because he's getting chased by dogs. Its just silly.
Any kinos in this vein? Jacob's Ladder comes somewhat close I guess
I honestly can't think of anything. This movie is one of a kind.
The Fly

I sound like a redditor but i do get Goosebumps listening to this. I listened to it over and over after i watched the movie for the first time.
It's really good. Kind of sounds like dungeon synth.
kino
The Fly, Videodrome, Beyond the Black Rainbow, From Beyond
Brain Dead (1990)

I keep meaning to watch this because all the screenshots look fricking kino. Is it what i think it will be
>Is it what i think it will be
It won't be but watch it anyway
By that I meant an absolute trip
It's an insane pyrotechnic trip and has a lot of really cool trippy visuals.
So it’s like Into the Void?
The camera work isn't as impressive but yes, some of the visuals could be similar to that movie.
It has a much more typical structure than Into the Void
it's pretty trippy, turns into a creature feature about halfway through out of nowhere, then ascends beyond humanity
watch it
>based on a novel
Cinemaphile won.
I can't argue with those
This was pretty kino but I thought the part where he turned into monkey man dragged a bit
I thought this was a dangling penis from the catalog
>13 years old
>parents take me to see this in the theater
bro...i was a primitive human in my past life...like bro it's all in our brain...
You could summarize literally anything with this format. What is your point?
To summarize the movie on that format. You answered your own question.
Ending was dumb when he Thanos snapped out of existence.
>Ending was dumb when he Thanos snapped out of existence
This was the answer to my question, not your dumb fricking meme post.
>t. gay c**t with period cramps
damnnn
Blair Brown had nice breasts too
Jessup is literally me.
Brainstorm
nice

nah its great, you're just a moron or a teenager that is still too obsessed with being "cool" or what others think
Yeah.
I'm not usually creeped out by anything, but there's certainly some visuals in this one that stuck with me.
Same for me. Some major bad vibes from this movie.
I like how 70s movie posters and trailers give the full synopsis
I'm so glad this movie didn't turn in to some generic slasher flick towards the end when it definitely could have when he went ape mode.
